Whenever someone mentions coin ticker with prefix $, site automatically hyperlinks it to coin tracking site (cmc/cg). For example, $BTC, will be automatically hyperlinked like this $BTC.

It's just idea I had in mind, it could be useless but I wouldn't know, second person can judge better.
So you are proposing an idea and I thought this is a thing already in functioning haha silly me.

It does read like that.

I doubt this is something theymos would implement and I don't think it's necessary nor would it be popular but someone could easily make a script for it.

109  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou Boxing October 28 on: October 28, 2023, 11:53:59 PM
Wow, Francis shocked everyone. There's no way Tyson won that one. I think a draw would have been more appropriate but if we're being fair Ngannou probably edged it with the knockdown but the judges were never gonna give him it. Funny how both Tyson and Frank were adamant that the Usyk fight was gonna be on the 23rd December but they've now changed their tune. I really hope Francis goes pro in boxing cos if he can go ten rounds with Fury and score a knockdown he can do anything. I'm sure lots of big boxers will be wanting the big money fight with Francis now. I'm not sure Tyson will want it again or not anytime soon.
110  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou Boxing October 28 on: October 26, 2023, 12:15:49 PM
And now the father of Tyson Fury, wanted to go after Mike Tyson.

Quote
"[I'd like to fight] Mike Tyson. Mike Tyson, I’m going to the top of the tree. And he’s a traitor, and I’m going to tell him so in Saudi next week. Next week, he’ll be told," John Fury told Fight Hub TV.

https://www.boxingscene.com/amp/john-fury-plans-confront-traitor-mike-tyson-during-fury-ngannou-fight-week--178598

That is a very bad idea, even at Mike Tyson's age, he is still very scary as hell. And perhaps this is just to hype the fight as we all know that John Fury wanted to get into the limelight as well when his son/s have fight.

And I guess there's nothing personal on Mike's side, maybe he just wanted to train Francis Ngannou, who he might see himself when he was starting his boxing career. Power in both hands but very raw.

John is full of shit. One week he says he's a fighting man and will fight anyone anywhere then the next day he's saying he's too old and his fighting days are behind him. Mike would kill him. He was never a good boxer and just lives vicariously through his kids.

If Ngannou manages to beat Fury, he will need to do it twice because of a rematch clause.

They have a rematch clause in the contract? That is strange and unusual. Because for the boxing world, Ngannou is nobody. He has big name, fighting record, he is familiar as a vicious knockout artist and people would pay to see him fight. But he zero ranking in boxing. I really doubt that boxing promotions will let their champion fight unranked guy twice. I would even say that boxing association would simply forbid that, because their fight slows down whole division. Their second fight means that other boxers must wait 6-12 months before champion will be ready to do his obligatory title defence.

Tyson will probably have one just in case he loses. It's pretty much standard for the champs to do this these days but just clogs up the division with rematches.

With the odds paying out so small for Tyson Fury, it’s hardly worth betting on. I think even with Tyson being the massive favorite and in my opinion will be the winner, betting on Francis Ngannou is a more attractive bet just because there’s at least the chance of a decent payout. This just doesn’t seem like a good event to bet on unless you’re pairing it with another bet.

Just put some money on Ngannou getting a KO. I think Tyson will probably win by a ref stoppage or something when Francis gasses out but I think Francis is going to try very hard to KO him early on so it's worth putting something on the upset in my opinion.Francis has won most of his fights by KO and in the first and second rounds so I'm sure that's what he's aiming for here.

I repost this here only to share with the guys who doesnt go so often to the Sportsbet thread. I receive my jerseys from SB won on the 5 round of the pools + one in the game and round prediction contest.

Nice. I hope to win a shirt someday.

This season's officiating has been mostly poor. Diaz's goal was an apparent Onside, and I'm not sure how the ref and VAR missed it. Has the recording been delivered to Liverpool yet? I'd like to know what the VAR and the ref were talking about at the moment.
The released recording which I am sure everyone has seen at this point just pokes more holes into the idea that VAR reduces human error. I find it difficult to fathom that they mis-communicated that the goal was given and then assumed they could no longer interfere in an obvious game changing decision 3 seconds after the mistake was made, but will rather wait till the end of the match to issue an apology, it is quite ridiculous.

No one expected VAR to eliminate errors completely, but the possibility of a replay review and discussions between experienced referees should reduce it to a minimal level at the very least. The opposite has happened and there has been so much inconsistencies and variations in interpretations of the rules. What is more ironic is VAR is not having such issues in other leagues around Europe, so it is obviously an EPL problem with the officiating and not the technology.

VAR is a joke. I think football is better without it in its current form. It wastes far too much time and there's no need to check every goal to see if they can find something and the offsides that they needs to draw digital lines to see if someone was offside by a millimetre are pathetic. Who cares? If you don't have an angle that's running straight down the line - which they usually never do - then you can't always be 100% accurate anyway from an obtuse angle. I've seen lots of goals disallowed that from one angle it looks offside and from a photographer's perspective on the touchline it wasn't.
119  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou Boxing October 28 on: October 05, 2023, 05:36:55 PM

It must be true that Ngannou is the heaviest hitter in UFC thats why its unfortunate to see that if he wins against Fury, Ngannou won't get a belt. So the reason the Ryiad WBC created a belt specially for this fight lol

This is somewhat funny https://bloodyelbow.com/2023/09/09/francis-ngannou-vs-tyson-fury-wbc-belt/

The article didn't say a belt name but they may comeup with something the same as BMF.

The WBC always manages to insert themselves into these high profile events by creating special belts. I'm not sure if they're trying to milk these fighters for some sanctioning fees or if it's some sort of publicity stunt.

I've seen some footage of Ngannou training and he is in great shape and he seems really motivated. Even though money was his primary reason for challenging Fury I don't think it's the only reason. He wants to prove that he is taking this seriously and I expect him to have a much better performance than MMA fighters like Ben Askren and Nate Diaz who barely even bothered to train.

The WBC take 3% of the money so they're always desperate to get involved in anything. I'm pretty sure they'll come up with a belt as well like they usually do. The fight is being billed as The Baddest Man on the Planet so they'll probably do something with that.

It seems the hype surrounding this fight has not subsided but for some reason I just do not think it is as big as it was when it was first announced. There is no disrespect intended to Fury or Ngannou but when it was announced I was eager to watch, I still want to watch the fight when it takes place but that is still another 24 days away.

Anything related to the fight is hardly making rounds in the news either. Maybe the hype in the media will pick up again when there are just a few days before the event.

Maybe because the undercards are not so popular. Only Fury and Ngannou are pretty much known. There are a few like Artin Bakole and Makhmudov but basically, all are HW fights yet but there are also unconfirmed.

The undercard is actually pretty good. Much better than most and the all heavyweight card adds a little extra meat to it.

Very unpro that they announced Usyk vs. Fury while there's yet an upcoming event for Fury.  The announcement could just be for the purpose of hyping this Fury vs Ngannou fight and there never really is an intention to make it happen. Fury is afraid of Usyk, that is why he accepted to fight Ngannou but he's in for a surprise.

I think it was done to try drum up some more interest for the fight and get a lot of Tyson's fanbase back on board. Pretty much 99% of Tyson's own fanbase aren't happy that he's been ducking Usyk and taking what they see as an easy exhibition fight just for the money. At least this announcement simmers down the hate. I'm going to laugh so hard though if Ngannou sends him into the shadow realm and to be honest I think Tyson is due a humbling and if not by Francis then maybe Usyk will do it next.
120  Other / Meta / Re: ? Trust Score Not Shown In Bitcoin Discussion Board? on: October 05, 2023, 05:29:40 PM
Because theymos believes it's not relevant there and shouldn't be relevant to discussion. It's not shown in Politics or this sub either.
I knew it didn't show up in one or two sections, but I'll be damned if I ever paid attention to the trust stats being missing.  I thought about it for a few minutes, and I'm of two minds about Theymos's decision to do that.  On the one hand, a positive or negative trust score could definitely influence how other members weigh the posts of the person with that trust, which could be very unfair in most cases.  That's being pretty damn fair, I'd say.

Well that's his exact reasoning and I have seen people use people's trust score in arguments before before as an off topic ad hominem attack just to dismiss what someone is saying, so it can and does influence how some people perceive others even though it might have nothing to do with the topic at hand.
