I sold some art in the market place. I went to bit address.com and set up an address, had the BTC sent there and I printed out the sheet of paper with the address and private key.

Now what?
Is this all i need to do for long term cold storage?

That sheet of paper is your paper wallet, and you will only be able to spend your bitcoin with the private key.
So, you should to store it in a secure place and don't show the private key to others.

I was going to send some to my Blockchain wallet, how do I do that?

You need to scan your qr-code, or type the private key to import it.
858  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Avoiding Waiting Time During POS Transaction on: March 14, 2014, 11:53:53 PM
How can you avoid having to wait the 10-30 minutes it takes for a transaction to confirm when accepting bitcoin for POS transactions?

If the inputs are confirmed, and the transaction got at least min fee, you probably don't need to wait for 1 confirmation as it is not easy to double spend the transaction and it simply doesn't worth the time.

Of course, it would be a different story if you are taking a big trade.  Smiley
859  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Escrow Question on: March 14, 2014, 11:53:30 PM
Thats something to consider each time you escrow w. anyone on this forum. OR off this forum as well.

Its why people always mention to go with a reputable trusted escrow. Which you can find some here, whos done lots of transactions.

Eg: John K - already proved himself to the forum, with the past transactions with large amounts.

If you dont want to go with a individual handling it, there are websites like http://btcrow.com/

But, other question part is there isnt much you can do. Simply because your just handing someone your money / btc to hold.

Hope that helps.

John K is probably no loner the best example now, after he has vanished for more than 2 months...
