PBMining is same like cex.io ? The good thing about cex is i can sell my ghz anytime . The good thing about cex is the ability to trade your hashrate, but the bad thing is the high maintenance fee and the new trading fee.

Ive been mining for a week now in slushs pool with my 1th/s miner and was wondering if I'm getting the most out of it. I've made about .013 btc per round since I started and wanted to know how I could make more per round if possible. Thanks
You can overclock to get a little bit higher hashrate, but please don't do it if you have no idea what it is.

Grats! I'm starting to think people with low hashrates should just solo mine. Either you get nothing or you get 25 BTC! Better than making pennies in a pool.
The problem with solo mining is that you never feel completely sure that everything is configured properly. There's always this uncomfortable nagging feeling that you might be running your miner all day with zero chance of ever finding a block. this is exactly how i feel when i solo mine....the What if scenario. what if i screwed up and i find a block and because the config isn't right you lose the 25 BTC. Ughh that would suck. I use Bitsolo.net but the question always comes up will they pay if i find a block? hmmm I might start mining there ... with my 5Mh I will surley die before I find a block 5MH/s? You are using CPU to mine bitcoin?

why can i not connect?
A senior member posting this question here? What the fck is YOUR problem ? Go ask in Pool section, idiot. It should be altcoin mining section IMO, since "CTM" is most likely an altcoin...

Because OKcoin and BTCchina are still operating. Apparently banning Bitcoin twice in China isn't enough to shut it down. True lol. Btw, there are some rumors that the Chinese exchanges have been faking their trading volumes.

Local bitcoins have been hacked and this is where all the bitcoins are at. The bitcoins are safe and I can't give proof at this time soz but this is 100% true.
i thought localbitcoins had been fixed? Not really, you can find the following announcement on http://localbitcoins.blogspot.com/. Saturday, May 3, 2014 Attack against LocalBitcoins infrastructure 3.5.2014 LocalBitcoins received a very dangerous attack against the site infrastructure on Saturday 3.5.2014. For now
All user data and Bitcoins are safe; The site will be down for a while as the system is being rebuilt
Details LocalBitcoins hosting provided received a request to restart the LocalBitcoins.com website server and give access to the server console (root) on Sat May 3 13:32:27. LocalBitcoins team did not initiate this request. For now, it looks like the request was made using spoofed email addresses and other weakness in the hosting provider support system.
LocalBitcoins team was alerted about the abnormal activity when the hosting provider restarted the server. The attacker gained a root access to the server for ~40 minutes before the attacker was kicked out and the server shutdown. All data on the website server is encrypted. Manual actions are needed to make this data readable, so the attacker could not gain access to the data even when having a server console access.
It is very unlikely that the attacker gained access to any data; LocalBitcoins is still performing full investigation on the matter.
Bitcoins in hot wallet and cold wallet are safe, as LocalBitcoins runs its bitcoind and wallets on a separate server. LocalBitcoins team has started to rebuild the website server on fresh hardware.
LocalBitcoins team will make further announcements when the investigation proceeds and the site becomes available again. We expect to spend at least 24 hours on this. LocalBitcoins team apologizes the issues the downtime may cause to the users.

My brother was mining on my laptop bitcoin. I have a nividia 660M geforce gtx grapics card. He solo mined for 1 day and found a block. If I am correct a block is 25 bitcoin, and the market value of bitcoin is about 450. So did my Brother hit the lottery in bitcoin ? Congrats if it is true, but I believe most of us won't believe in your story unless you can provide the block number.

Forget about the faucets. Sell goods or provide services (writing, translation, etc.) to others for bitcoin. Join a sig program when you reach member status.

One of my customers and I are both now unable to reach the localbitcoins website. There is no info about this on their blog either. The update has been put up in the blog now. I do not think that balance on the Bitcoin wallet will just disappear if it is not hacked. I have read somewhere too that Bitcoin uses P2P or it is a peer to peer transaction.
No worries, ellen. The above posts (at least in this page) made by bobos15 and shorena were not discussing bitcoin but a new idea from bobos15. Your bitcoin is still safe after you close your wallet and switch off your computer.

HA HA! Funny. Although, I'm not sure I approve of this joke. Many people who are new to Bitcoin of just hearing about it have no idea there is no "CEO of Bitcoin, etc." I'm not sure what the market did on Apr 1 though and I'm too lazy to go look at the charts for that day. IIRC, bitcoin did pretty good that day. Probably because people are too busy with the "Pokemon Challenge" on google map lol.

Use cold storage for your big bucks, only keep small amounts with online wallets to spend.
it's better to avoid to get too large amount of btc We got a non-believer here, JK It is okay to hold loads of btc as long as you are storing it securely, but of course don't put all your money into just one single investment at any time.
