But even if I did transfer a virus over on the USB stick, surely nobody could access my private keys if the tablet I generate them on is never connected to the internet. Am I right?

I am not sure if it is really feasible, but there have been some news articles stating that NSA is able to hack offline computers with radio waves.  Smiley

863  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: About Mining on: March 14, 2014, 11:51:46 PM
Regarding mining, it not only generates new bitcoin to the miners, but it also enable transactions to get confirmed (putting the transactions into the blockchain).

If you have sent some unsolicited PMs out, you could be banned by an admin or a mod.
You should be able to find an email address for you to appeal in your ban message, but it is very unlikely you will get it unbanned.
865  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: It has been over 24 hrs since I sant BTC Transaction still unconfiremd on: March 14, 2014, 11:50:30 PM
So my bitcoins are gone forever???

Nope, there are 3 ways to go now.
1. Keep rebroadcasting the transaction, and hoping it will be get confirmed.
2. Delete that unconfirmed transaction from your wallet, and the network will drop that transaction in a few days.
3. Double spend the transaction with a new one with at least min fee.

Sorry to tell you that bitcoin is not a get rich fast program, and there is no easy way for you to get 15 btc without any efforts.

You can earn bitcoin by selling goods or providing services, so maybe you can take a look at the goods subforum (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=51.0) and the service subforum (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=52.0Smiley

I have been mining with 6x r9 280x. 4200 - 4100kh/s avg. but for some reason i dont find it profitable cause i only get 0.02-0.03 btc a day (scrypt -> exchange) . is that normal? or do you guys have some techniques or something.

The stats are perfectly fine to me.
Have fun with your GPUs Smiley
868  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Purpose Of Bitcoin Purchasing on: March 14, 2014, 11:46:30 PM
I want to know properties and characteristic of this bitcoin.

The bitcoin wiki could be a good place to start. https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Main_Page

Feel free to seek help here if you got any problems. Smiley
869  Other / Meta / Re: The definitive explanation of how activity works! on: March 14, 2014, 11:45:00 PM
So if I made more than 28 posts in a two week period I'll ever more messages than Activity?

You can get at most 14 activity in 2 weeks, so if you made more than 14 posts in a two week period, your post count will be larger than your activity.

Is this a recent development?  Used to be much simpler iirc.

It hasn't been changed for at least 4 months.
But I have no idea how activity is calculated before I joined bitcointalk lol.
870  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My activity is stuck at 28. on: March 14, 2014, 11:44:39 PM
This has been discussed many time on the forum so i would suggest OP to lock this thread  and just use the forum meta section for the answer and if OP is lazy to do that then just use the search button of the forum. Its always good to google and search forum before creating a new thread for help and questions !!! Smiley

+1.
There are a dozen of posts regarding activity in the meta subforum, and dozens more here in the newbie subforum.

This is helpful to all newbies, and everyone should really take a look at it.
IMO, this thread should be made sticky.  Smiley

With the name "CoinMultiplicator", I am afraid that concept is probably just another ponzi/hyip...
