I think maybe you should work on your commission structure. I have 70 referrals, active trading and not alot to show for it.
I have links all over my site and on my new bitcoin software. I promote you on twitter, facebook and forum. Its a lot work. I know you are trying to maintain good cashflow, but take care of the people who are sending the business.

The commission rate is small (10%?) and they only take a little bit from each transaction (0.5%?).  If my numbers are right, then you're getting 0.05%.... this means people have to trade 2000 BTC for you to make 1.

icann just announced that you will soon be able to register any top level domains. no longer any need to "mine" .bit

http://www.icann.org/

Isn't the whole point of namecoin that your ownership/control of the domain is cryptographically secure - as secure as the blockchain.

Therefore nobody can "steal" or "confiscate" your domain?

^^ winner!

Seriously.  That is the reason I want just one namecoin.

I sell nice dice.  Maybe somebody would like to trade?  One set for 48 NMC?

I haven't even thought about how to price it. Make me an offer.

I welcome suggestions.

Easy way to get some namecoins.

I could pause it when I leave or pass it on to someone else. I'll leave it to suggestions.

My thought is that at the rate it is going, everybody who has already deposited is easily covered. That way, only new deposits are truly affected by the change.

Unless it sounds like a bad idea, I will keep the game running until deposit 57 (the last deposit at this point) is payed out, then if it is before Noon on June 27, the game will still end at Noon on June 27. If it is not payed out, the game will continue after a long pause. I'll just have to let the depositors decide, it affects them.

I'd be willing to help out running it if the game is still going when you have to go on hiatus.

Most likely because the profitability of it compared to BTC went down, it'll probably go back up again a lot the next time.
2227  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Blockchain not updating on: June 22, 2011, 05:26:57 PM
restart your system  Wink

Heh, did that too.  It's working now, a restart of my modem/router seemed to do the trick.
2228  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Blockchain not updating on: June 22, 2011, 05:12:09 PM
So I turned off my computer when I went to bed last night, and now the blockchain is not updating from where it was last night.  I have 8 connections, and it's been sitting there for almost an hour and hasn't moved.

Nothing changed in my network setup, any suggestions to fix it?
2229  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Double Trouble (Instant/Automatic) w/ Partial Refunds! [12hr rounds] on: June 22, 2011, 05:57:59 AM
If you want a completely transparent one (blockexplorer and spreadsheet to double check anything I do) then check out my sig.  Just started a new one up.
2230  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Double Trouble (Instant/Automatic) w/ Partial Refunds! on: June 20, 2011, 03:55:41 PM
Just recalculated my spreadsheet for this game to include the newer entries... still seems to be missing 2.8401 BTC.
2231  Economy / Marketplace / Re: 1.25X Flip Game, Better Happy:Sad Ratio, 3am-9am PST. ~25% is Still FAT. on: June 20, 2011, 03:23:21 PM
nope that is the spreadsheet for this game.

Not sure exactly which position I was in, just threw in a BTC before bed, that's why i want to see the spreadsheet Tongue

Didn't even look to check that.... bad form of the people running to just completely clear old entries and not state (as far as I've seen) what happens to the leftovers.
2232  Economy / Marketplace / Re: 1.25X Flip Game, Better Happy:Sad Ratio, 3am-9am PST. ~25% is Still FAT. on: June 20, 2011, 02:46:35 PM
WTF? Where is the spreadsheet from the first round? I was like the 4th person in with a small 1BTC deposit to test the waters and never got paid out.

Perhaps it is in in the previous thread.  Also, only see 3 deposits of 1btc at the start... so don't think you were the fourth person and put in 1btc.
2233  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Double Trouble (Instant/Automatic) w/ Partial Refunds! on: June 20, 2011, 02:18:09 PM
I made a spreadsheet calculating your payouts:

https://spreadsheets.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Ag7eUBbWmtR4dERnSkUxdVRXbk5fWlRneFlwTVhaUVE&hl=en_US&authkey=CMm1j4YK

Still looks like some is missing, please let me know if I did any of the math wrong.
The pot shows how much there is to payback.
The pot calculates 1% already taken out of the equation.
When I send people the money, I am re-calculating their price based on how much they put in instead of relying on the Bank.
The Bank allows me to know how much to split among the players who haven't gotten paid at the end of the game.

I'm not exactly sure what you mean....

Can you create a spreadsheet of your own in the style of mine?  I am just failing to see where the 2.8401 (that I believe) should be in the pot is.
I've got someone I needed to be 3 minutes ago, so I'll do it when I get home.
But, I'll be more then happy to make a spreadsheet. Smiley

Still interested in seeing a spreadsheet in my style with your calculations.
I actually got caught up in other stuff (such as a video for BitDouble Application).
SSL
And the API code.

I'll get around to doing the spreadsheet sometime.

Implying it should take more than about 5 minutes to put in some numbers and your equations, I'd say 15 minutes max.
2234  Other / Meta / Gambling Subforum? on: June 20, 2011, 07:00:44 AM
So ever since I started this back up, other people have been spam creating them as well.  I think creating a gambling/games subforum would be a good idea, might save the marketplace some.

And on a side note, I created mine the next day after reading this thread and seeing no one else had stepped up.

2236  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: TradeHill Spam on: June 19, 2011, 11:50:47 PM
This is not the way we want to grow our business. At the very least we will remove all the referrals from this users account.

I want to make it very clear that TradeHill is not spamming the compromised user list from Mt Gox.

Posting his personal information would violate our privacy terms which we take very seriously.

Thank you, glad to hear action will be taken against this individual.  It's one thing to make a forum post, but a totally different beast to use the emails from the leaked DB.

Jered, see this:

I've received it as well.

I hope you out and suspend the account.

Different thread, same idea.  This one has the full email headers in it.
2238  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tradeforce Spam on: June 19, 2011, 11:24:59 PM
I'm with you on that one, just got the email as well.

I think they should go one step further and ban the account/email associated with it.
2239  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Double Trouble (Instant/Automatic) w/ Partial Refunds! on: June 19, 2011, 11:00:02 PM
I think you need to extend it since it was down for a while... probably best to just put it off till tomorrow night.
2240  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Double Trouble (Instant/Automatic) w/ Partial Refunds! on: June 19, 2011, 09:22:11 PM
What's up with the site?  Seems to be completely down.
