Is it five posts or four hours or both?  Grin

Both
1302  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Transaction confirmation time on: April 03, 2013, 07:49:54 PM
Is there any way of knowing why a miner does not want to include a transaction?

Check out https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=166247.msg1733897#msg1733897 he has a better idea than I do about transactions being confirmed.
1303  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is this Bitcoin's achilles heel? on: April 03, 2013, 07:48:48 PM
Althought the whole scenario is as plausible as asking what if somebody buys all the food from the world or something like that...

^^ The best way to put it

It's impossible to buy every bitcoin.
1304  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Zero transaction confirmations in 20h on: April 03, 2013, 07:43:15 PM

No fee paid on that one, could take a while.
1305  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Transaction confirmation time on: April 03, 2013, 07:30:57 PM
I would have thought that too: http://blockchain.info/tx/b356108a95708ac80e4c49f9b3aac43d77342f062f900d51ff3c9bc5ec8166f8
It's been over 12 hours and nothing :S

Odd, saw someone else with a similar issue.  I'm not sure why it's not going in, but if I figured anything out I'll post back in here.
1306  Economy / Economics / Re: [BFL] Bitcoin Ponzi? on: April 03, 2013, 07:26:26 PM
Since no one knows you created Bitcoin, could it be BFL (only company that sells these new rigs?) is Satoshi Nakamoto. Or am I giving them to much credit?

You're giving them waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much credit.  Avalon is selling ASIC rigs and has actually delivered.

I'm still not sure of the point you're trying to make with this thread.
1307  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Zero transaction confirmations in 20h on: April 03, 2013, 07:24:25 PM
What's the transaction ID?

Did you pay a fee?

dunno about his txid, but could you shed any light here?

many thanks!

Not sure why it's not in a block yet, everything looks fine.

The website loads for me.
1309  Economy / Economics / Re: [BFL] Bitcoin Ponzi? on: April 03, 2013, 07:18:20 PM
I added in [BFL] to the title to make this a little less confusing.

@OP
What do you mean
If BFL doesn't produce the the mining rigs does this mean BTC might very well be a ponzi scheme?

I'm not sure if you're saying that bitcoin is a ponzi scheme or if BFL is.

1311  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Transaction confirmation time on: April 03, 2013, 07:12:51 PM
Adding in a .001 fee should get it in the next block, at most I would think another block or two after that.
1312  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Butterfly ASIC on: April 03, 2013, 06:31:38 PM
Has anyone tried these machines?  Do they work?

No one has a working ASIC as far as I know.
1313  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Official "Satoshi Nakamoto" Appreciation Thread on: April 03, 2013, 05:55:15 PM
A bank in the bitcoin world would still need to be a trusted third party, only such a party is not needed.
Still, some people are trying to create bitcoin banks. It's illogical, they are not needed.

I would argue that banks are still going to be needed.  There's no way every single person is going to want to be in charge of their own wallet/funds handling, they will want someone else to do it for them.  What about loans?  There needs to be some sort of system, you can't crowd fund everything.
1314  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Official "Satoshi Nakamoto" Appreciation Thread on: April 03, 2013, 05:50:45 PM
The funniest part is that while Satoshi was thinking and created a "no trusted third party" cash system, some people are dreaming of bitcoin ... f..ing banks !!!  Roll Eyes
God help us all!!

+1 confirmed no sense.

Thank you, I read it 5 times and couldn't figure it out.
1315  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: AMAZON WILL SOON ACCEPT BITPAY AKA bitcoin payment service on: April 03, 2013, 05:47:45 PM
https://bitpay.com/amazon
I think this is the begining of the end for paypal, and bitcoin hit it big

It's not what you think it is, Amazon isn't taking bitcoin yet.

This is for merchants who use fulfillment by Amazon, allowing them to take bitcoin then have Amazon ship the stuff.

It's a carbon-copy of bitcoin that offers nothing new. Essentially play money.

Seconded

It offers nothing new and is a waste of time and money.

What what?

Not sure of the point you were trying to make in that first post, I am not following that sentence.  Someone else please confirm that I'm not crazy because I can't understand that post.
1318  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Saw the value of my Hoard this morning, called in sick on: April 03, 2013, 05:39:28 PM
Yeah, it's all fun until you decide to withdraw your funds... then the transactions become unconfirmed and seemingly orphaned over the bitcoin network. Such has been my experience thus far.

Where are you trying to withdraw from?  Got a transaction id?
1319  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Truly anonymous hosting on: April 03, 2013, 05:38:27 PM
Truly anonymous hosting would be hosting it yourself on a VM that can only connect out via TOR.

Begging in your first post isn't a great way to start out....
