21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner - a new litecoin mining application [Windows/Linux] on: February 28, 2014, 09:42:11 PM
Not really no. Some very low scrypt cards can get surprisingly high keccak numbers.

would you have any examples for scrypt duds & keccak ace cards?

Christian

LOL sometimes this world is like learning another language. What are scrypt duds and keccak ace cards?! I googled "keccak ace" and this thread was the only real result Tongue
22  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Nvidia more efficient to mine scrypt? on: February 27, 2014, 04:35:28 PM
I'm actually seriously considering building a huge setup consisting of 750Ti's for me the profit margin is the price i pay for electricity, and im already pulling 6kw.

I read somewhere that cudaMiner has some trouble running on 1x -> 16x risers, are there any truth to this? (Im looking at 5x or 6x these cards in each of my rigs but before i actually buy a ton of these cards id love to hear from someone who either know or run multiple nVidia cards on risers)

I too would like an answer on this if anyone knows. Powered / non powered risers? Some 750 Ti cards have additional power supplies, so there are many variations on how you can set this up...
23  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner - a new litecoin mining application [Windows/Linux] on: February 26, 2014, 08:45:13 AM

TL;DR - Hash/Watt is a necessary consideration for everyone

I am in the process of replacing power guzzling cards like 560Ti 448 core edition, 660Ti with the new Maxwell GTX
750Ti line of cards.

I won't be replacing the expensive beasts like GTX 780Ti, GTX 780, Asus MARS anytime soon because they haven't
really done enough work yet,  so throwing them out at this point is not justified Wink

Christian

Great news as I've just purchased 5 of them! Also keeping my 7990s for a while... but looking forward to Cudaminer running even better on the 750 Ti cards Smiley

Anyone who runs multiple nVidia cards on risers?

I am looking into running 5-6 cards per rig, but i think someone earlier in this thread mentioned that cudaMiner still has some trouble with high traffic so that risers could be a problem. (1x to 16x risers, 5 or 6 per rig)

Get a quad sli capable board...use 4 per rig.

New 750 Ti are not SLI capable / compatible from what I've read.

Official forum spammed to death.

It's funny how the emotionally immature get upset. I sold 2500 SMC at 0.00031, bought back 950 at 0.00020 (almost 0.2 BTC)... and now it's worth almost 10x less lol. It's my mistake and not the fault of the dev/marketing team. They ARE trying... that is easy to see. Fingers crossed this coin can rise again! Smiley

Time Since Last Block: 12 hours 42 minutes 8 seconds and counting on ecurie.io.

Anyone ever experienced this? :/ Is it possible for a process to get stuck somehow? Website has started going *very* slow in the last 45 mins or so.

i still haven't received the 25 RPD bounty... how can you expect to be taken seriously?

The dev has fled and you're still asking for your promo coins? 25 RPD is worth 0.00025275 or 14 cents. How can you expect to be taken seriously?  Roll Eyes

Using the Windows sgminer on here, this keeps causing my 7990 to spin up and down. It is also hashing at an average of 2.3MH/s whereas my other 7990s (which are located elsewhere so I can't hear them) are doing 3.4MH/s. Any ideas? All use the same version of Windows and AMD drivers.

Tried lowering the thread concurrency but still the same spin up, spin down of the graphics card (fans). Very weird.

Keep getting disconnected on poolerino. Can anyone else suggest a better pool?

http://panda.dedicatedpool.com/

Thanks. A few posts up from this people are saying they're suffering payout problems with dedicatedpool though :/

This coin is really going places. And it looks like one or two are already quick off the mark this time around. Come on Swedes. Get a shift on Smiley

Everyone vote for Ekrona on cryptsy!

Coins don't get onto Cryptsy without going on other exchanges first. The dev and the marketing team need to organise a push to get onto coinmarket, coinex, cryptorush, mintpal to name a few.

Just had a chat with a pool operator. Confirmation times to withdraw newly minted coins are around 1 day? People won't be able to tolerate this I think Sad

Is this coin implementing KGW or Adaptive N factor?

It has gravity well enabled.

Great, thanks. Imho, this should be in the OP and Subject as KGW really to help encourage more miners.

As you can see, the new Kimoto Gravity Well algorythm works nicely on SMC

Great! Where did you get this from?

Thought I'd throw a bit of reminder in here for everyone, particularly the ones that are watching exchange charts like hawks.  This coin has been live for less than 3 weeks.  If you actually beleive this is a viable coin and your freaking out about price fluctuations of a few 10,000ths or 100,000ths - especially just after a fork switch and KGW implementation - then you're doing it wrong Smiley

Don't worry about it.  Relax.

Give the coin some time to run.  If you want to obsess about something, direct that energy towards promoting the coin.  Pump it on Facebook and Twitter.  Keep emailing new exchanges to add us.  Keep being positive.  And KEEP MINING!  If we all can do this, the price will take care of itself.

Look: there are going to be price fluctuations.  Wait until the whale or whales who bought so many coins last week hit their sell range.  Wait until we hit Cryptsy.  There are a whole bunch of things that are going to create net-sell markets for a while and depress the price and, trust me, it'll happen more than once.

Don't worry about it.  Relax.

Again, we've been live for   l e s s   t h a n    3   w e e k s.

If you aren't in it for the long haul and you're sitting there staring with bloodshot eyes at your exchange site, hitting F5 with one sweaty hand while your other is hovering the mouse over the sell button, waiting for that last satoshi bump so you can sell! sell! sell!, then go for it.   Honestly, we couldn't care less.  More cheap coins for us Smiley

But if you're in this thing for a longer ride then think in terms of weeks and months, not seconds and minutes.  Kick your feet up, let the craziness subside, and let's see where the market settles so we can get a good look at where we can go.

Agree, IF there are people worrying about "a few 10,000ths or 100,000ths". However the last week alone has seen the coin near quadruple in value and drop back down again. That's a serious gain and not something you should ignore (and it's why I've got a script to alert me to difficulty and price changes). 30% profit in other industries is nothing to sniff at, and so close to 400% increase here is worth paying attention to. Nothing wrong with both short and long term profits Smiley
