I guess people who were going to sell based on the CHina news have already sold.  Sure more CHinese will sell but other countries are there to scoop it up.  China is only 1 country, although maybe they caused the rise in price, it doesn't mean if they leave the price has to drop.  They got people used to the higher prices now maybe.

Economics are worried it will work and prove something they believe is wrong.  Ignorance is bliss.  Many economists believe you need to keep creating money and the more money the better.  This would dent that argument.  I would think economics want to embrace it and see what happens with this experiment.  I only hope we get to see what happens and it doesn't get ruined by something like a 51% attack...

Mufa, I gave up a few weeks ago from trying to get fiat money out of there.  I had submitted a request in November and they kept saying there was a backlog, they had staff shortages, they had the holidays.  Basically now it looks like a bunch of BS.  For the life of me though I can't figure out what they're doing.  Maybe you're right about losing a bunch of BTC and they're just trying to survive as long as possible.  It would seem weird that they would be scamming, especially being in the US where, frank,y they could be easily sued (I thought about brining a small claims suit in Georgia but it wasn't worth it for the amount I had a stake.)
