781  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: coinmkt on: December 16, 2013, 04:49:18 PM
From what I've seen, although CoinMKT had some issues they at least communicate with people to let them know what's going on, and eventually follow through.  On the other hand there are plenty of providers that have like NO customer service right now!
782  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Oops - 20BTC fee paid on .05 transaction? on: December 16, 2013, 04:45:57 PM
There must be some way to develop a system where this type of thing won't be allowed to happen.  It's things like this that hurt the credibility of BTC in the public's eyes - I mean what if that happened when BTC is way more popular, years from now, I could see that Yahoo headline story now Smiley
783  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Simplest, easyist wallet? on: December 16, 2013, 04:44:19 PM
I read what you said but it seems to me that qt is simple.  The only problem is the time it takes to download but I think you can minimize it so the friend can do whatever they want while it's loading.  Other than that it's easy to use, I think at least.
784  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why create CPU mined coins? on: December 16, 2013, 03:44:12 PM
But the problem is people are developing GPU program for those CPU mined coins.. so sooner or later it will be GPU again...

I think that the idea is to try to come up with a way so that GPU actually can't be used to mine the coins.  To try to make it so it's more evenly distributed.  I like the idea but it seems like some alts have tried that in the past and somehow the speculators always come up with a way to "cheat the system" and mine coins faster, since there's money in it for them if they do it.
785  Other / Off-topic / Re: Did China Just Legalize...The Two Child Family? on: December 16, 2013, 03:41:37 PM
There have most recently been exceptions to the 1 child family in China.  I think they are about to change it to allow for many more families to have 2 kids.  I mean on one hand it's totally unfair and feels like it takes away people's freedoms, to only allow them 1 child.  On the other hand there are A LOT of people in China and it's surely the ruling party that wants to make sure it doesn't become totally unstable and they'll lose power (i.e. if the economy crumbles or there are mass riots).
786  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Free BTC with Martingale Technique on: December 16, 2013, 03:38:36 PM
I've had 15 losses in a row.  Just throwing in my 2 cents to be careful, it might work for a little while but at some point it will totally wipe you out!  and they don't allow bots on that site too.
787  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: CampBX Support MIA - Are they stealing customer funds? on: December 16, 2013, 03:35:05 PM
I received a response to a ticket that someone (whoever was writing) would personally take care of my issue yesterday (on a SUnday, which is odd).  Instead I got another ersponse to 1 of my tickets (I had submitted 2)  asking whether I had checked with my local post office and see if they were holding anything for me.  (I was trying to get a USPS withdrawal).  My response to them was:  1.  my money is still in my CampBX account so I assume you haven't sent me the withdrawal, and 2. it says they send the withdrawal with certified mail, so can't THEY tell if they've sent it and it's been received or not?

This is unbelievable!  I'm getting really pissed now, it's been over a month!

QUESTION: for anyone that's done a USPS withdrawal- when is the money taken out of your CampBX account?  I assume it's when they put the check in the mail, otherwise I could cancel it and try trading with the funds on CampBX.
788  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is happening with the WorldCoin? on: December 16, 2013, 03:31:36 PM
When it first came out I was very interested and owned quite a few.  However when I was mining it there was an issue with them being mined so quickly so I worried that maybe it's fast mining/confirmation time could lead to an issue with double spends and forks.  It's value seems pretty good right now though.

there is a .0005 withdrawal transaction fee?!

feedback: when you click on "max" in the betting side, I don't want it to say "1 BTC", I want it to be the max amount I have available in my account.  I think this is pretty standard.

Hey Stunna

Any word on the faucet going up again.  or of implementation of the whitelist that someone mentioned earlier?

Thanks

I assume this is where to check for updates on implementation of whitelist and faucet right?  Do we have any idea when PD3 might be out?  I'm bummed by the drop in the faucet as well.
791  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does Something Like the DigitalCoin Free Bank Exist for Bitcoin? on: December 13, 2013, 11:01:23 PM
Yes, I know baritus has been planning that DGC bank for a long time.  It's cool to see him try to put it into action.  I hope it works out.  More services like that will help BTC and DGC.
792  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to Destroy Bitcoin on: December 13, 2013, 09:53:38 PM
There is the JPMorgan Chase cryptocurrency and then there is a Russian bank which just said it might be releasing a cryptocurrency.  Maybe they intend toput some competitors out there that are "better" than BTC, or at least don't have the "drug stigma" and then they'll control the cryptocurrency world too.  That's their plan, steal BTC's idea and push it on the masses.
793  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: where to SELL small amounts of bitcoin for fiat? on: December 13, 2013, 08:01:39 PM
I know, this is my biggest complaint, that it's hard and you have to be so careful about doing business with BTC right now.  Localbitcoin looked pretty good.  Back before they had problems CampBX was good for me.
794  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How big is the blockchain right now? on: December 13, 2013, 07:56:29 PM
I have wondered this too and haven't even taken the time to look and see how large it is.  Yeah, they have to do something about this at some point.  I mean you can't have like 100 gigs required to buy/sell BTC, the hardware will become too onerous if they want to get everyone using it.  Why can't they just eliminate some of the "older" transactions?  Or, how about making it optional whether to download entire blockchain or only a part of it?

Someone showed me that you can use the watchlist instead, and delete threads from the watchlist.  I had the same idea as you but just use watchlist.
797  Economy / Lending / Re: .001 loan, will pay back .002 in 2 weeks on: December 13, 2013, 05:37:42 PM
pump, thanks for the offer but don't worry about it now.  The contest came and went.  I do appreciate that you think it's crazy people are asking for collateral on 90 cents.  I was surprised by the hostility from monbux as well.  It's 90 cents - if you're going to make a huge deal out of it then just don't respond, or at least don't make a big deal about collateral.
798  Economy / Services / Re: [PHP] How to create a wallet for BTC, LTC,NMC and other alt coins? on: December 13, 2013, 05:27:04 PM
Every other alt coin daemon similars to that of bitcoind. However, how to handle multi coins in one vps/server. Do we have to install all daemons? Are there any developed solution available?

Further, is there any common gateway/api that links all daemons?

More info needed.

Hope some good guys help us.

I agree that this would be really cool and with all the alt coins developing I think there is a real need for a multi-coin wallet.  I'm not sure if it's even feasible though because I know the client for each coin does so much.  Would it just suck up too many comp. resources to be running multiple coins at once?
799  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: mtgox question on: December 13, 2013, 04:31:21 PM
I think it's normal.  TBH it seems like almost no companies are allowing ppl to withdraw fiat without a LONG wait.  At least I haven't heard of any.
800  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My MtGox account hacked... Lost $60,000... :'( on: December 13, 2013, 04:29:17 PM
God bless and I'm sorry this happened.  Heck I get worried when I have like $500 on a site associated with BTC.  It's just too crazy out there right now and it seems like everyone wants to make a profit and they don't think about security (I mean the site owners).
