201  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2015-02-15] Mt Gox is deploying and testing a fix on: February 19, 2014, 07:52:17 PM
Sounds that way to me too.  But where did the coins and funds all go?  I think a lawsuit will be needed to get to the bottom of that.  If I had north of $10k in there, it'd definitely be worth it.
202  Economy / Speculation / Re: Upcoming MtGox Movement on: February 19, 2014, 07:39:35 PM
If everything gets squared away you'd think the price would basically double.  That will take time though for people to be able to get their coins and cash out, and I doubt that will even be allowed to happen by Gox.
203  Economy / Gambling / Re: PrimeDice.com | 400M+ Bets | 300k+ BTC Wagered | Free BTC | 1% Edge | Instant on: February 19, 2014, 05:04:19 PM
Stunna, thanks.  Not sure how you do it, going through all those posts.   I try to make mine as easy to follow as possible and take out the "worthless" giveaway posts, etc. and you always pay fairly and relatively quickly.  Thanks for being honest.
204  Economy / Gambling / Re: http://btcontracts.org Do you know this one? Safe to invest? on: February 19, 2014, 04:19:56 PM
how is it not a ponzi?  What do you do to "earn" btc instead of just using new people's btc to pay older members?
205  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: [TRUSTED+WORKING] ★★ Nisaai 120% Return Ponzi ★★ Instant Payout - 100% Automated on: February 19, 2014, 03:48:22 PM
I wouldn't contirbute to a ponzi more than like 2 days after it's started.  At some point they'll run out of funds and not be able to pay (that's the way ponzis work) so you'll get nothing back.
206  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DOGECOIN IS FORKED!!!! Check dogechain and its already hardforked on: February 19, 2014, 03:46:37 PM
What do the devs care now?  They just wanted a new coin to pump and if it fails, they already made their thousands (of fiat I'm sure).

The pool operators chose to remain with 1.4 because 1.5 stunk.  That's the way it works, they have to make 1.5 better or else this will happen again.
207  Economy / Gambling / Re: BitBook.biz - Bitcoin sportsbook - Instant Withdrawals - Widely Trusted on: February 19, 2014, 03:31:43 PM
Bitbook, with these allegations of someone hacking peoples' accounts I was thinking about security.  Is there is a certain number of times someone can try to enter a password before there is a "cooling off" period or it gets disabled?  Otherwise someone could try a million passwords to get in.  Thanks

Additionally, is tennis still taking a long time to grade?  I thought you said that'd be fixed in the next few days?
208  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-02-18] Ukraine on track to legalize Bitcoins on: February 19, 2014, 03:23:11 PM
This good... but, I just watched footage of an armored car being blown up by molotov cocktails in Ukraine. Seems like they have more pressing issues to sort out than the regulation of bitcoin.

LOL my exact thoughts.  A province just declared their independence from Ukraine.  I think they have more pressing matters...
209  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: why you do not trade in BTCchina.com on: February 19, 2014, 03:21:51 PM
I have thought about it before but it seems like it would be too tough trying to do it in another language.  I also think it would be tough to get a withdrawal in USD.  Has anyone done this?
210  Economy / Gambling / Re: BitBook.biz - Bitcoin sportsbook - Instant Withdrawals - Widely Trusted on: February 19, 2014, 02:57:11 AM
Has this happened to more than one person?  Anyone who has divulged nickname and possible password probably want to change it.
211  Economy / Gambling / Re: How does a site become "Provably Fair" approved? on: February 18, 2014, 09:34:36 PM
Frankly I think some websites make it up themselves.  Some of them think if they show you some stuff on the blockcahin then they are "provably fair."  You need to ask them what they mean, there is not one entity that gives them that signification.
212  Other / Meta / Re: Ponzi world taking over gambling section on: February 18, 2014, 09:09:40 PM
AGreed, please move them to games and rounds (even though I think they should basically be not allowed).  In any case they shouldn't be in gambling, it's making it impossible for "regular" sites to have threads and get activity.
213  Economy / Speculation / Re: Possible outcomes of the Mt. Gox fiasco - my speculation on: February 18, 2014, 05:01:03 PM
I don't know.  It seems like the price has already had it major drop.  I think Gox is pressuring the price on other exchanges because everyone sold on Gox to try to get money out, and it caused it to look like the "actual" price of BTC is lower than it actually is (on other exchanges.).  The sooner Gox dies the better, but I fear it will do all it can to not die, so it will keep the price low for a while.
214  Economy / Gambling / Re: CoinDrafts.com | Daily Fantasy Sports for Bitcoin | Freerolls | Reward Program on: February 18, 2014, 02:47:32 PM
oh this is cool.  When do freerolls start?  I mean, I'd like to try it out, even for low amounts, to see how it works before using real btc.
215  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: New Ponzi 120% on: February 18, 2014, 02:01:35 PM
Betek, aren't you the one starting all these ponzis, and then die off and then you start another one?  WHich screws the old "investors" from the old ponzi.
216  Economy / Gambling / Re: BitBook.biz - Bitcoin sportsbook - Instant Withdrawals - Widely Trusted on: February 18, 2014, 01:57:16 PM
Did you increase number of confirmations needed before deposit shows in account?  I have a deposit with 4 confirms and it's not showing in account.  I think it used to be 1 or 2 confirms.  Thanks.
217  Economy / Gambling / Re: Do you think that we need new Ponzi section? on: February 17, 2014, 09:59:42 PM
yes without a doubt.  but mods aren't doing anything!
218  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is this domain worth anything? on: February 17, 2014, 07:03:51 PM
I think many deomains like this end up being worth something but it may take anywhere from like 1 month to 100 years...just depends on something new coming up (like a company or product).
219  Other / Off-topic / Re: [poll] What do you think is the biggest threat to humanity? on: February 17, 2014, 07:01:58 PM
Why do you have the imaginary "new ice age" and not the scientifically proven fact of global warming? Warming is very frighting. Especially because there is no reason to believe it will stop before exterminating humans, maybe all life. Nature doesn't love you, she does what she does.

I'm not so sure it's a proven fact, but I'm sure many will say global warming is possibly imaginary too.

I agree with RodeoX.  Even if you don't want to call it "global warming," some sort of environmental issue should surely be on there.  Pollution, or something like that.  For instance the icecaps are definitely melting...
220  Other / Off-topic / Re: i used to own these domains on: February 17, 2014, 06:59:51 PM
I could see tribune and herald being worth something.  If not now I'd hang onto them.  Did you already sell?
