You'll basically need to be in their state and if you were smart you'd sue them in small claims court.  Then your best bet is hope they don't show up or they contact you to finally resolve your issue.  One potential problem in any type of BTC-related lawsuit is the judge won't have any idea what BTC is and get confused (sad but true).
662  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is BTC still in a 1150 USD buble...? on: December 30, 2013, 09:24:18 PM
If BTC price hangs on for another few months to a month I think we'll be golden and it'll continue to rise.  I see pressure for the near term but it's held up well so far, surprisingly.
663  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Milk Crate Overheating? on: December 30, 2013, 09:13:51 PM
I'd imagine you should just check it every few hours as it gets going and see if it's ok.  I could see milk crates melting so I'd keep an eye on it.  Like putting plastic in the microwave...
664  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin used for payroll on: December 30, 2013, 09:11:23 PM
It is an interesting idea.  However most employees I bet, unless it's at like Google or something, wouldn't have any idea what to do with their BTC.  I think if exchanges get their act together this could be more possible because then people could get fiat if they wanted.
665  Other / Off-topic / Re: New computer. What should i choose? on: December 30, 2013, 09:09:27 PM
Personally, I wouldn't mine anything on a laptop due to heat issues but that's just me.

Yeah I agree you wouldn't want to push a laptop too hard or for too long with mining.  Maybee just a little for fun
666  Other / Off-topic / Re: Tax refunds are a bad thing on: December 30, 2013, 09:08:28 PM
I know, I hear people, mostly uneducated, saying "wow I got a huge refund this year hahah" and then they go blow it on some material goods.  Since I figured this out at the age of 20 or so I try to minimize paying taxes throughout the year - use max exemptions legally allowed!
667  Other / Off-topic / Re: INTERNET BEGGING on: December 30, 2013, 09:06:13 PM
Frankly bro, check out the faucets or do some work, and you can get yourself some BTC Smiley
668  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Best pool for transparency? on: December 30, 2013, 09:04:25 PM
One question is whether you'll be in the top 10 or whatever of hashers as many pools allow everyone to see a list of the top 10 or whatever number of hash rates and number of blocks found.

Quote
"Every day, people voluntarily surrender personal and seemingly-private information to trans-national corporations, which exploit that data for profit. Few think twice about it, even though it is far more intrusive that bulk telephony metadata collection."

Key word voluntarily. We have a right to decide what info we may or may not give out. Absolutely pathetic.

Good point.  Man I started reading 1984 the other day and the similarities are shocking, even in the first few pages.  No one has any guts to do anything, they'll just keep voting in the same old people.
670  Economy / Services / Re: Earn 0.01 BTC for a 7 Day Signature! CoinElectronics.com on: December 30, 2013, 08:55:46 PM
It's funny.  It seems like people are more than willing to throw caution to the wind and jump on board with anything even when it's way above market rates.  Then complain they got "scammed."  People, just use your head and try not to be too greedy and you'll know where you should and shouldn't waste your time.
671  Bitcoin / Press / Re: This is not exactly approval from Goldman-Sachs, but it's getting close... on: December 30, 2013, 08:51:50 PM
Well, GS will certainly be trying their best to have some say in BTC going forward now, because there is money to be made in it.  They have their hands in everything all the way up...
672  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: When involving alot of money, would it be wise to fly yourself and your lawyer? on: December 30, 2013, 08:50:31 PM
I'd wonder what the lawyer will be able to "look" at.  They would have to be pretty tech smart.  Just document everything as well as you can.
673  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: POLL: In what case will you be taxed on your bitcoin profits? on: December 30, 2013, 08:45:37 PM
The only safe way to don't pay taxes from your Bitcoins is to sell them for cash ("from one hands to another ones").

Until you use that cash to buy a Lamborghini and then the IRS asks "Where did all the cash come from?"

*Facepalm*

I could see your point with buying a car.  But you could use the cash for things like food, clothes, and you should be fine.
674  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is MtGox prepping another vector of customer attack? [AML] on: December 30, 2013, 08:39:16 PM
I see a lot of problems with Gx.  And there seem to be little tricks to getting them to respond to what you need.  Some people say just keep bugging them, I can't believe they run their business this way!
675  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DOGE dying on: December 30, 2013, 08:32:12 PM
ok the trolls and haters got what they wanted can you stop making threads about this now?

just stick to your coins threads stop spamming doge no one cares anymore okay.

i am just going to go to /r/dogecoin this place totally suckered punched doge for trying to gain any traction

No, I think if DOGE had anything good to contribute this "place" would have been ok with it.  Look someone is still saying silly things, no thoughts involved with "keep happy & have fun"
676  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoins ruined my life on: December 28, 2013, 10:49:29 AM
You should do some reading and think about God.  Money doesn't equal happiness or a successful life.  There are other opportunities out there too, try to come up with an idea.  Some sort of BTC service?  You can still get rich.
677  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't invest in bitcoin; invest in services! on: December 28, 2013, 10:47:07 AM
It's tough to invest in some of the services when several of them are shady and maybe won't be fully supported by the government.
678  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who here gave Bitcoins as a present for Christmas? on: December 26, 2013, 04:27:33 AM
Sent .01 BTC to a couple friends who already know about BTC so more of a gag gift.  Hey it could be worth big bucks one day!
679  Economy / Gambling / Re: PrimeDice.com | 300M+ Bets | 260,000+ BTC Wagered | Free BTC | 1% Edge | Instant on: December 26, 2013, 04:25:28 AM
I can't connect to site currently.  524 error.  Any ETA on coming back up?  A better mobile friendly site would be great, it is pretty hard to play.
680  Economy / Speculation / Re: It's about to get ugly on mtgox on: December 26, 2013, 04:21:14 AM
Need to see some real upward momentum here.  It's been just drifting down for quite a while now.  Can't tell if it's just holding on or trying to form a new base.
