I've just read the OP and, although I'm sorry for all the losses caused to investors by these nasty people, it reminded me so much fun of those days! Now when I look back at those years it feels like it's ages! How does fast the time runs in Bitcoin? LOL

123  Economy / Speculation / Re: The price of bitcoin on halving day 2020 on: December 14, 2017, 12:00:28 AM
We are 3 years away from that day, can we focus on what's happening now? I think this thread is just irrelevant, like everyone creating threads for speculation like, What do you think the price on 2018,2019 and now 2020?. This is not helping, if you want to speculate on Bitcoin ,can we speculate it's price by the end of year or early next year,

We can do whatever we want here you pipsqueak.

The halving is probably two and a half years away but it could arrive sooner or later than we expect depending on hardware and fork stealing power.

Who knows what'll happen between now and then? This current run could end early next year and be bearish until then. I think we all know that deep down this exuberance has to be paid for at some point. If it hasn't been by 2020 then it'll be a beast when it arrives.

I still believe no bear phase will kick in until we reach 100k USD minimum. This will take some time and i can't estimate it in any way Smiley
124  Economy / Speculation / Re: The price of bitcoin on halving day 2020 on: December 02, 2017, 01:36:18 PM
Around 100K USD (more or less with a 5% error range) I can suppose, based on this https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=831547.msg9293342#msg9293342

As of now it worked great.

Still releasing Scrypt based coins...LULZ do you even know which year are we on? It's 2017, almost 2018, Scrypt is obsolete since Dogecoin release, gosh the quality of altcoins section is really degradating as time goes on.

136  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum Crash and wallet file erasing? on: October 06, 2017, 08:17:17 AM
Yes it's possible that your wallet file was not fully committed to disk because of the crash. You should run scan disk on your hard drive to check for bad sectors.

Also if the hard disk is an SSD? Does this matter in any way?

Same thing applies. The file wasn't committed to disk because of the crash. Could be a problem with the disk or some other piece of hardware in your system. It's not an electrum problem.

Ok i got help also from Electrum dev on IRC channel yesterday, everything clear now.

I supposed it was an OS related issue and not an Electrum's one. Better know.

138  Bitcoin / Electrum / Electrum Crash and wallet file erasing? on: October 05, 2017, 11:32:56 AM
Hi there. I'm a long time user of Electrum, actually running the latest version. Never had serious issues with this wallet since i use it and holding quite a serious amount in it.
I had this strange thing happened to me yesterday for the first time.

I was running my pc with electrum wallet opened in my programs when suddendly the pc crashed (win 10) making a new "blue screen of death" that I have never had the pleasure to see before, then my pc collected issue data and restarted.

after restart i went opening electrum and i noticed he was prompting me for a new wallet! What the heck i thought... Luckily i'm a skilled user and got my seed in a secret place where i can find for these necessities and i restored the missing wallet with that.

I just wonder why i got my electrum wallet deleted with the crash??
It has to be specified that I had many electrum *.wallet in the same folder.
Default wallet and another wallet didn't disappeared, but the one i was using yes.

Did this happened to anyone else around here? Or can someone more technically skilled explain to me what could happened?

Best regards.

140  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BitcoinCashClassic [XBS] - A true alternative to BTC & BCH! 6Mb Blocks & PoS! on: August 29, 2017, 04:08:52 PM
Redeem phase will last until block 480000.
You can redeem XBS also with BCC private keys.

So it's no longer possible to claim?

Or there is a difference between these types of claims and somehow the BCC claim version is still working?

I still have to decide if give the users the claim function or not.
I think that to avoid mass initial dumps it would be better to have a new clean blockchain and tx history for XBS.

Mining hashing power (both pow or pos) gives network value.
