1  Economy / Economics / Re: How can we get people to use bitcoin as a currency? on: December 31, 2018, 08:53:08 PM
The current highlighted problem for bitcoin is the volatility, we all know that using a currency that has a high volatility is very uncomfortable.
One of the solutions to solve this is by make the volume increase.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Private-sale] |DUSK Network| Security tokens, privatechain, Bitfinex! on: December 31, 2018, 08:35:01 PM
What about the STO tokens on the DUSK blockchain? If they are to be fully regulated, does that mean they can only be traded on regulated exchanges? Are there any fully regulated crypto exchanges?

I reckon all the big exchanges are going to get all the necessary permission if there are going to be money to be made with these kind of tokens.
A few of exchanges like bancor are already ready for security tokens trading and there are also some exchanges that are still preparing for this.
I read it on this article https://www.cointelligence.com/content/security-token-exchanges-launch-2019/

For you guys who still don't know about different between STO and ICO, here is an article for you https://101blockchains.com/sto-vs-ico-the-difference/
Actually you can find it on google if you want to take your time just for a few minutes.

There are already explanation about the differences and the benefits of STO there.
The key things are STO will eliminate the scammers, eliminate people who just want to get quick money and not serious about their project, and also you wont find any trash token with bullshit demand potential in STO.

Strangest is how some of these ICO's that managed 100m+ are already going bankrupt by now. How do you spend 100m in a year (not counting the price decrease)

I've witnessed this too. I have met guys at these events that have spent 5-10 million just traveling and attending these things.
Yes if they bring the entire team (dozens of people) or live a luxurious life while traveling. The problem is maybe they don't calculate the budget and use it effectively, they just use it because they have the money.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Private-sale] |DUSK Network| Security tokens, privatechain, Bitfinex! on: December 30, 2018, 04:06:45 AM
Do you have a Facebook page? I tried to search this on Facebook but found nothing. It's not essential forum in anyway but i would have just followed it.
I think they don't have it and I think they don't really put much effort on promoting this project digitally. They don't have a bounty campaign, they don't have an airdrop, and also they only have around 1300 followers on their twitter.
As we all know theyre focusing on private sale and private deal which are the best ways at the moment.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][TGE] Jarvis - Hybrid exchange | Decentralized hub | Token with revenue on: December 29, 2018, 02:56:54 PM

To be honest i don't blame people for asking 100 millions if they just get more by asking it. But the investors were also greedy to think that it would be easy to rise value after so huge market caps.
Yes, its way more harder to raise 1 billion from 100 millions than raise 10 millions from 1 million because the market is limited.

Strangest is how some of these ICO's that managed 100m+ are already going bankrupt by now. How do you spend 100m in a year (not counting the price decrease)
What are these ICO's that you mean?

I just read an article about the difference between STO and IPO here https://medium.com/@Comistar/security-token-offerings-sto-vs-initial-public-offerings-ipo-6a8885ee721a
Its written there that STO has lower costs and complexity, programmable set up, and more simple for global investment.
I don't know whether this article is concrete or not but it gives me insight. Whats your opinion about this article?

I think the main different is that security tokens will be licensed and regulated by SEC and other financial institutions. And investors will be protected from scam. This is themain different. We have scammed many times by fake ICOs etc. So I hope security tokens will be next step in crypto and we will be able invest without risk  Roll Eyes
I think what you mean here is the different between STO and ICO, but I was talking about STO and IPO.
But about your opinion, I agree that investors will be more protected/safe with STO and there will be less risk (not without risk actually).
And if STO is a success thing in crypto, I think people will ignore ICO because they will eventually think that its just unqualified project.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] CosmosCR [$CYBR] 🌌Virtual reality metaverse powered by the blockchain!🌌 on: December 28, 2018, 02:00:38 PM
I was just wondering about the benefits of adding crypto assets to a concept like VRChat. Then again there exist things like Eve Online which involves virtual space battles that made people lose $300000 real money worth of virtual space ships.

What is that?

Also, if some people lost $300000 worth of things, that means some people win $300000 worth of things?

You have to pay for the time in the game.
You own a ship which was made in about 100 hours (time for getting minerals, modules ...), then you can calculate f.e. 20$ x 100 hours = 2000$.
If I destroy your ship  Grin , you have lost about 2000$. I dont get the $, you have lost the time which is equivalent to 2000$.

What the ship destroyers will get by doing that? Or this game only benefits the creator and entertains the player?\
And I don't understand the relation between this game and things like VRChat / CosmoCR, im a bit confused.

Why you dont have any conferences, events for attract people to ICO? Are you going to have some after token sale for attract people to your exchange?

We have done one and will probably do more in the future Smiley

Oh ... only one? This one?

I invite you to our conference next thursday Smiley It will be on youtube (check our FB).

So the other ones you mentioned were only from you and not your whole team?

True, you are so right. I have held many conference this year and last year in Sofia; all what I saw were beginner with no trading experience, and no clue about risk management.
I don't know what they really mean with those answers but I just checked their Instagram https://www.instagram.com/jarvis_io/ and I see that they've been in some conferences like SoftUnitConf 2018, Blockchain Paris, and Hard Fork Decentralized.

Everyone talks about STOs but no one exactly knows how it will interact with the legacy jurisdictions... What do you code in a security token? Equity? Voting rights? Votes? Dividends?
If it's Dividends and equity isn't this a convertible note? Debt?

I think we still have to wait for regulation to follow through this before you make any hasty decision around STOs.

That's what im still wondering about, well because I haven't read much information about STO especially about the regulation. Is there already a running project that has done an STO before?
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Private-sale] |DUSK Network| Security tokens, privatechain, Bitfinex! on: December 26, 2018, 07:19:39 AM
It will be interesting to see if 2019 will be the year of STOs or if it is still too early due to the uncertainty regarding their regulation.

It will definetly not the year of ICO's i must say. So if there is something have luck about the market they are STO's.
Yes, STO's can be a new attraction for new money to come into the crypto market.
I see many people are tired with utility tokens (especially token without good mechanism) where they don't get anything from holding it and just hope the price will increase.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][TGE] Jarvis - Hybrid exchange | Decentralized hub | Token with revenue on: December 26, 2018, 06:52:18 AM
Jarvis is definitely a standout among the usually greedy and delusional ICOs, setting a realistic fundraising target and focusing on the development of the exchange.

I think the same about the disparity of vision between jarvis and other projects, many words thrown into the wind in previous projects without something concrete even after collecting money. I see in Jarvis the differential of labor applied even before and during the sale and aspiration of confidence enough to take the project far beyond
That's why about ICO in general, I think it needs some kind of regulation where the flow of raised/collected funds will be made more transparent, so investors will know what exactly their money is used for.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] CosmosCR [$CYBR] 🌌Virtual reality metaverse powered by the blockchain!🌌 on: December 26, 2018, 06:40:39 AM

Why you have so long roadmap (Alpha in Q3 and Beta in Q4 2019)? You started developing product already or will start after ICO?
That is common in coins created by ICO.
We know that ICO collects money from investors and if it doesn't collect money, then it could be that the making of BETA failed. LOL

Cryptocurrency is hard, man!
Yes, that is the difference between IPO and ICO.
You can conduct an ICO regardless of the progress of your project. So the dangerous thing that usually happens in crypto market is there are many ICO projects be created without knowing their market or just putting the "global" market statistics without knowing if there are enough people who want their projects and will specifically use them.
Theyre just about to find the market with the ICO funds, do trials and errors with ICO funds.

So we need to know the answer of magisterr's question above, that will be a very important information.
15  Economy / Economics / Re: A cryptocurrency with volatility can't be used as money on: December 24, 2018, 03:55:32 AM
Once bitcoin reaches or almost reaches the cap and mining no longer makes sense in a profit sense, I think the volatility will either die down completely or almost completely... After that point, bitcoin will go up or down in linear fashions long term.
That makes sense, but also there is one more important thing which is the volume.
Cryptocurrencies still need to have much more volume than the current volume, so there wont be any significant movement if whales are exchanging their coins/tokens.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Private-sale] |DUSK Network| Security tokens, privatechain, Bitfinex! on: December 24, 2018, 03:42:43 AM
so a partnership aimed to get out the bwre sto, but the q2 2019 is very far,it will be a long wait...

Better to do your STO in a bull(ish) market then in a bear market
Yes of course. In bull markets when there is a large amount of money flowing into the market and people get so much profit, there will always be an inner urge to invest more and multiply their profits.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] Robries - Blockchain with Zero Waste and Recycle to Save The World on: December 23, 2018, 05:04:01 PM
What happened to bounty Robries? Is it finished early? why the forum is written "bounty closed"
So sad, the main website is also already taken down. Maybe the ICO / crowdfunding is failed? Or they cancelled it?
Their last post on social media is around 10 days ago, the sign of a dead project.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: 🔥【ANN】【ICO FINISHED - LISTING ON】🔥 SIDERA - Decentralized Wearable Devices on: December 23, 2018, 04:50:55 PM
But some people get paid bounty from signature not all.
Group telegram developer keep silent , I don't know why they do that.
If they paid bounty , why they refund fund investor ?
I joined sidera bounty campaign before, but I got no token at all. And also what will people do with the token if they get it? The token doesn't have any value anymore.
19  Economy / Economics / Re: welcome bulls , Bye bears on: December 23, 2018, 02:00:00 PM
I think that in 2019 it will be a bull year and can provide profits. Currently the market has seen growth and I think it is a good start to welcome the changes in 2019.
We will see. We still need to be careful about this movement, there is still not enough momentum and now the price is stabilizing.
Most of crypto people are hoping for a bull run but the recent movements in this market are always unexpected.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Private-sale] |DUSK Network| Security tokens, privatechain, Bitfinex! on: December 23, 2018, 01:04:03 PM
I thought the STO was supposed to start quite soon, i don't understand why announce it now when there could be even delays before the platform it's ready to handle it.
This is also about the marketing of course, this news will be able to increase people's awareness about Dusk platform and make it become more attractive.
