361  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top three altcoins worth investing? on: October 08, 2018, 01:21:55 AM
My TOP-3 altcoins now are: HOLO, NKN and QKC. Great projects with huge potential and I will HODL till TOP-10 on coinmarketcap but DYOR!
funny "buzzword" post  Grin
HODL, TOP-10, DYOR!

(not much input on the coins suggested)
on topic, it's difficult to say I think since there's different levels of risks.
investing everything you own into bitcoin is far more safer (while still could be risky) compared with investing everything in a new, although promising, coin.
one should always make sure you trust what you invest in fully atleast..
362  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reducing scam on: October 08, 2018, 01:18:38 AM
on this topic it's important to remember that a legitimate project would comply with these KYC-enforcements and such, which means if you're only in it for the money,
one could count it as a "bonus point", while those projects who doesn't comply are far riskier.
even if it's, as you said, against the "crypto idea" in a sense.
363  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investment viability of privacy coins (Monero/Zcash)? on: October 08, 2018, 01:16:51 AM
this is a very interesting topic and I don't know anything about it, but couldn't the actions you propose, theoretically cause some surge of development towards making BTC support the same type of privacy somehow?
I mean, if all the people dealing with privacy coins would go to BTC due to the market cap it would be far more difficult to affect the price.
but maybe it's not possible?
364  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: goodbye fiat and USD. on: October 08, 2018, 01:12:25 AM
I think it's better for everyone to be more realistic about this, surely one day the current economical system will be replaced (hopefully),
but we're faaar from there. who's the opponent of crypto (and who has a reason)? banks and governments, and they still rule the world so  Lips sealed
365  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Health Care Related ICO's on: October 07, 2018, 11:27:51 PM
in my opinion the issue with these specific projects are that they are insanely overvaluated for what they actually offer, just as the early ico boom where
any shit project could get millions and millions of funding and in the end nothing happened. what exactly is it that makes this project WORTH investing in?
why is anyone going to get return, realistically? it's yet another project going on the hype

Projects with a utilitarian use that patients or doctors would want to use. For instance, lets say you create a revolutionary product that helps spread the perfect amount of peanut butter onto bread. It works better than a knife, is easier to use, and always makes the perfect peanut butter sandwiches. Who would buy this though? What would incentive consumers to buy this product? TBH, nothing would because making peanut butter sandwiches is simple and easy already. You need a project that patients would either want to use, or a project that helps patients or doctors better their situation. Most of the ICO's that exist today are trying to solve problems that don't exist. Projects with purpose will be able to create something of value that people want to invest/buy.

I'm not sure if you're saying I'm wrong or I'm right,
how could anyone expect patients (in large enough masses) to adopt a system that currently is in an "ICO phase" utilizing "blockchain technology"?
bitcoin will go to all time high and back down to (at that point) lowest low many times before such a system is adopted in large enough scale for it to actually pay off as an investment.
(again, my opinion only!)

I mean, blockchain is a relatively new concept (not really but compared with the old ways it is), is really the health care sector/incredibly slow government machinery known for being good at adopting new things?
half the world backend is still running windows 95!

Clinical trials have already been conducted & they show the project to be effective. They just need the money to finish marketing the product.

you don't seem unbiased since you also link to a specific ico, so are you invested or otherwise involved with the ico?
366  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IMPATIENT ON YOUR INVESTMENT? on: October 07, 2018, 04:55:21 AM
aren't investments generally more like long-term? if you've done your research and know it's not a PnD-planned coin, isn't it better to just hold at least a year or something?
I've only bought into one ico so far and still waiting to see any results but I still don't plan on selling anything in a looong time.
367  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Guide on how to review tokens/coins, that you want to invest in. on: October 06, 2018, 04:25:19 PM
funny that Tron is chosen for this guide as it's also the most living on hype coin ever witnessed!  Grin
one shouldn't only go to the source itself to find information as any ico or crypto or company can be dishonest (of course it's more likely in the unregulated crypto sphere).
I would like to add some things I wrote here if anyone is looking for more information: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3760625
368  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Gold Mining Asset | GMA on: October 06, 2018, 04:21:38 PM
If it is real that they already start mining the gold, they must have Gold Mining License as well as company registration certificate, offices, mining equipments. I want too see them.

this sounds like a very good thing to ask for.

not to be assumptive here but the origin of most internet phishing and scams seems to originate from a similar area,
i think one should definitely ask find a lot of evidence of operation. it could be something so easy that they were paid to wear a shirt and that's it.
the value itself seems pretty stupid, why does it need to be a crypto?
stay away from this i'd say  Huh
369  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to launch an ICO - TOP TIPS FOR NEWBIES on: October 05, 2018, 04:51:33 AM
A very thorough text, as usual tho bitcointalk is only used as a medium to direct people to another site..!
either way surely this might help someone. although, "launching icos" as in handling tons of people's money, and being a newbie doesn't really sound good!  Huh
370  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bittrex vs Kraken - choosing an exchange on: October 03, 2018, 02:19:44 AM
I started with Kraken but they only offer bank transfers, (and is EU only?), Coinbase is US based I think but they allow instant purchases using cards -
as well as instant verification, so you could have crypto in 10 min compared with Kraken, where a new account + verification could easily take 2 weeks before you get your first crypto.

and neither Kraken nor Coinbase lists many cryptos, so you can easily move them out somewhere.
also Kraken has rather high withdrawal fees, while Coinbase only takes the mining fee - although, the fee for buying with card is quite high!
Kraken = cheaper but slower.
371  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Questions You Ask for New Project on: October 03, 2018, 02:17:01 AM
many questions has been asked and there's always lots to ask which should be adressed by the team themselves right, but one thing that rarely seems to actually, truly be answered is:
why does it need to be on blockchain?!
372  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Most secure OS on: October 01, 2018, 04:20:31 PM
Linux Mint is quite a like Windows, in terms of simplicity etc but it's still Ubuntu, you could switch full time to that and never have to go back!
373  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: newbie help (using several ip address on this forum) on: September 30, 2018, 11:54:37 PM
I use a wide variety of public and private WiFi service in a variety of geographic locations, and I also tether with a couple of phones. There must be a long list of IPs associated with my account(s), and I never have any problems as a result of this.

You won't get banned as a result of your IP, but you may have to pay a small charge if you are registering from an IP ( or block ) that has a history of problems.

to who do you mean one would pay a small charge?  Shocked
374  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is the the safest wallet for windows? on: September 30, 2018, 11:53:49 PM
if you want to be even safer since windows isn't very safe to begin with, considering 90% of all viruses exist for windows as well as windows 10 being a spyware station,
you should consider a hardware wallet - or at the very least, using a secondary OS for the crypto stuff.
I wrote some about it here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3576100

376  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Feel like quitting on: September 30, 2018, 11:49:34 PM
you don't have to quit, but you could prioritize other things than to chase bounties if you find it difficult to rank up!
a regular job could give you income to invest in projects rather than investing your time into the bounties.
or, you could just do both at the same time, but seemingly that's not an option if you're considering quitting  Huh
377  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you trust celebrities endorsing cryptocurrencies? on: September 30, 2018, 11:48:13 PM
as plenty of people has said, it's only for promotion - the celebrity gains from it, those behind the crypto gains from it, and the people take the fall.
one has to be very stupid to buy something because some celebrity - especially if it's some "current times" idol, and not someone who's even into technology!

379  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: This is why facebook is useful and important for ICOs on: September 30, 2018, 05:24:41 PM
what are you saying, I don't understand Why facebook is useful? you didn't say why?

No answer for the question, this is offtop. Facebook is useless for ICO and could be useful only as usual social media to share news with community.
To judge ICO according facebook is werid

I think, to begin with, that facebook being mentioned so often in relation to what will happen to crypto(or well, ICOs) etc is very overrated.
facebook and other social media doesn't have mentionable impact on the market, of that I'm certain.
I think people saying oh google/facebook will allow ads again, good for crypto > way overexpecting.
