541  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The most interesting coming ICO (July - August) on: July 13, 2018, 08:24:05 AM
Believe or not, one of the best is still flying under the radar. Elepig is a Korean based exchange ICO that may result in excellent yields for owners.
Rating is not so good https://icobench.com/ico/elepig

Imagine making a site such as icobench, get everyone to base their judgements on that, and then be able to keep the circulating supply super low..
make your own decisions - don't do it solely based on icobench or some other site!

and it seems a bit pointless to suggest ICOs straight from a site and not provide any information?
542  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Are transactions to and from an exchange tracable? on: July 13, 2018, 08:22:49 AM
as stated, all transactions are open to see for anyone, but since exchanges are indeed sending Out from a general wallet, while usually receiving to a 'user specific' wallet, noone except the exchange themselves can tell who withdrew what. but, it depends on why you ask - if you're planning on hiding from the government, surely this will come back at some point - it's being more and more regulated, coinbase already had to send their top 10k users to IRS. give it a few years and the IRS will probably have free access to all the large exchanges!
543  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Software review for data encryption on: July 13, 2018, 08:20:49 AM
While the content itself seems instructive enough, I'm wondering why exactly you're posting here -
what are you suggesting people encrypt? surely it should be crypto related, so you should add in some steps of what there is/what is necessary to encrypt depending on wallet solution and such  Grin
544  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where to find the best bounty campaign on: July 10, 2018, 12:01:23 PM
What do you mean by best? best % rewards, best project? best project would mean a better rise probably, but best % rewards might even it out.
I think the most important part is to find a good project, and then do the bounty, even if you could a larger share of the tokens on some other project.
here is a thread on analysing icos Smiley
545  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why ICOs will fail in 2018 on: July 09, 2018, 05:24:32 AM
The ICO sphere is being regulated heavily in terms of demanding information and transparency and such and that will obviously lead to less ICOs since it's not so easy to just do a "cash grab" anymore.
but that's not necessarily bad - there are/have been some ICOs of quality this year (then I'm not only talking about the project idea itself but generally the structure of the ICO).
sadly, it's difficult for people to just stumble upon them. Even bad ICOs do the same type of marketing and make their idea sound so great.
546  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How could i move on when BTC market price does not! on: July 09, 2018, 05:22:01 AM
What do you mean, what does bounty campaigns have to do with the bitcoin price?
If you only mean low bitcoin price = less investors, I don't think that's completely accurate. In a small scale, yes, but large investors and those who generally fund (good) projects, are hardly affected by the bitcoin course.
it's not like investors keeps everything pooled in one place? if they're down on btc they still got funds for other investments.
547  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Analysing ICOs (applies to crypto investment in general) on: July 07, 2018, 02:34:53 PM

How will the project handle legal aspects
A lot of the legal machinery can work slowly, and a project can't haphazardly acquire necessary legal documents.
Many projects demand KYC; while many does not demand KYC - which they should, for the legal aspect.
KYC = Know Your Customer, essentially providing things along the lines of a passport picture and various personal information.
This is due to things such as Money Laundering.
If a project doesn't demand KYC, at this point in time, that is in my view, a reason for concern of the project's future, in terms of facing legal issues, and thus the projects legitimacy in general.
Scam projects could very well sell your information.
This also applies for bounties - be careful with what information you provide!
I personally join bounties simply for 'why not', but I never join any project asking for my personal information.

This is an interesting point. So we need to be concerned about projects that doesn't require KYC, but I don't want to give out my personal information either - seems like a dilemma. What should we do then?

If you are talking about investing in ICOs it seems like you should be comfortable with providing them with your personal information, if they Don't demand it then they're probably not very serious actors to begin with (since it's practically a demand nowadays that they have to collect information to comply with regulation)?
and if you are Not comfortable with providing your personal information to that specific "company", we could assume that the same reasons you have for that, applies to the quality of their project too?
although I guess that's a bit obvious. it's a dilemma indeed.

if you're worried about providing information in general - then there's not much to do I guess!
Sure you might miss out a bit, but not necessarily.. if you do your research and gather a list of "interesting" projects and when their coins/tokens gets distributed, you could likely purchase them at a very fair price early on (when bounty sellers/early investors or others) sells them on some decentralized exchange?

or you could maybe join some type of "small   investment group" (I know there's some sometimes that pool together funds), that way only one person would have to give out their info.  Huh

as you said, dilemma!
548  Economy / Speculation / Re: 71% of e-money forecasts will increase significantly in 2019 in Huobi's report. on: July 07, 2018, 12:09:52 PM
I'd like to share this link as it's a bit related to people who thinks the market is dead:
https://www.turtlebc.com/tools/buy_percentage?period=3years

this has happened over, and over, and over again, and it's always the same reactions from people! "Oh the market is crashing! Why did I buy in! It's over!"
then they sell.. and up we go!

the entire market cap of crypto (which in itself is actually multiple times higher than actual money inside the market), is like 1/5th of Apple.
you think a global instant currency market is valued correctly at that amount?
and then don't forget the hundreds of fantastic new unique ideas based on the decentralization made possible by crypto.
we are faaaar from anywhere near a roof.

although I can't specifically speak for bitcoin but in general, we're definitely going up for a long time to come.
we can talk about a bubble when we reach a few multipliers of the IT bubble market cap.
549  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin has created the the perfect storm: Bulls! on: July 07, 2018, 12:07:01 PM
Are we dividing people up into bears/bulls in this thread without actually admitting that the big players doesn't give a damn about who's a bear or who's a bull?
you can profit on a market CRASH, you can profit on a BULLRUN. the big players move the market in whichever direction has the best return!
550  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How could bitcoins survive further on: July 07, 2018, 12:05:51 PM
the day bitcoin specifically is favored by governments, then we know we're in trouble!
why would we want banks to see bitcoin as an ally?
part of bitcoins reason to exist is to get rid of the banking mafia-like structure, printing money out of thin air.
don't ally with the enemy, it's for noone's gain except giving them control for a final kill! I think, atleast.

just wait them out, we finally have something which is not controlled for anyone's direct gain, where people are in control of their own funds.
is there a reason that's not preferable above banks?
551  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: cryptocurrencies vs world cup on: July 07, 2018, 12:02:26 PM
I think there is a certain impact. Many people have extracted funds from the encryption and invested in the World Cup. This may cause the market to decline, but this is my guess. The impact may be small.

the market is going Up, not down  Grin

honestly, people tying all these world events to crypto all the time.. it's a market, people trade for money.
no serious person is going to sell his crypto in a volatile market after this recent huge drop, just to gamble it on football!  Grin
552  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Ask English related questions on: July 07, 2018, 12:00:58 PM
teaching grammar in a bitcoin forum doesn't seem right, the entire forum is in english and english is still one of the easier languages to learn, so if someone actually does want to improve they can just go use one of the 100 sites that's available for the purpose  Grin

I think most people nowadays learn from their internet activity rather than by studying anyway  Cheesy
553  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is there hope? Can we still make a bigger profit from altcoins this year? on: July 07, 2018, 05:17:49 AM
Find the right altcoins and you'll definitely be able to make a profit,
I personally believe the times of "general market bullruns" is coming to an end.

there's so many shit coins that has no reason to exist, there's 10 projects in each "sphere" doing the same thing.
it's just like the IT bubble.
pick the winners! do your own research, don't buy what someone tells you to buy.
I won't tell you what I'm buying because it would just make the price go up (even if ever so slightly) and then I would get less Cheesy
554  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Atls with actual use case right now on: July 07, 2018, 05:16:00 AM
I am working on a project which hasn’t been officially announced yet, but we place extreme emphasis on the utilization of the token. We want our community to be able to actually use it for its intended purpose as soon as they buy it. What tokens do you hold and use?
Most of the tokens were used for the bump and dump purpose because the usage level is very very rare so you may not get much chance to use that.Even your tokens will be used for bump and dump purpose but you still need to stick with the development in the long term to achieve your goal.

Yeah this is honestly the most realistic way to see it I think.
very few are actually using things, people use smartcontracts and maybe some underlying conversion stuff but beyond that, there's really not that much use for the average "crypto user"?
I know many people say crypto is supposed to be a new currency, but I personally believe the big breakthrough will simply be decentralization and what it makes possible for industries.
555  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I will never join AirDrop programs any more on: July 06, 2018, 11:53:39 AM
it's free in terms of cost and all you need to give in return is act like a bot and follow their stuff, generally, when it comes to airdrop?
you don't need to participate in all airdrops either, why not find a good bounty program for a project which you judge to be of quality, and simply invest all that 'airdrop participation time' into that one good project  Cheesy
556  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Earn Bitcoin as cashback/rewards? on: July 06, 2018, 11:51:35 AM
Wouldn't essentially any site paying you in bitcoin work just as well as using one of the far more established sites that payout to, say, PayPal, and then just use that money to buy crypto with?
If you're trying to get rich, you'll never succeed if you plan on doing things to earn a few satoshis online.
get a job and buy crypto instead!

and as earlier mentioned, join bounties if you want to do some online-work in exchange for (specific project)-tokens.
find the right one, participate in the bounty well enough to receive a large amount, and maybe in a year it's worth something!
but be aware that the absolute majority of projects are next to garbage, so do your research on the projects. Here is some suggestions on that Smiley
557  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What if satoshi dumped his 1 million bitcoins? on: July 06, 2018, 11:48:22 AM
Hard to imagine he'd come to crash his own project to begin with! and since he's maybe not alive nor is it a he nor it is a singular individual..
but, I can't see any other way other than such a large amount leading to everyone dumping the moment his wallets show signs of life.
if that happened, it seems difficult to imagine people actually coming back, "final nail in the coffin" to bring in more insecurity into the market?

maybe he got some smaller older wallets that he could use. why would he just make a few wallets and disappear if he intended to come dump it all, unless he wanted to kill it?
558  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the best criteria to judge a good bounty on: July 06, 2018, 11:45:16 AM
if you're talking about specifically judging bounties, you could try and check the bounty manager's history. is it a completely new person? is he from the project itself?
so many bounties seem to be based on nothing but 'good words' and eventually never pay out.

if you're joining a bounty that's been going for at least a week, check the spreadsheets, ensure that someone is keeping track and updating it regularly.

but if you mean generally how to determine if the project is good, you can look in this thread Smiley
559  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Atls with actual use case right now on: July 06, 2018, 11:43:20 AM
I think this is the year, or at least the year where it starts - where tokens and coins starts being adapted in the real world.
but asking individuals what they use crypto for? unless you're asking developers, who's integrating various services with crypto,
it seems like noone really can tell you much? what kind of reply are you hoping for?

sure you can use crypto to pay with, but beyond that, an individual can't use it for much else than speculation at this point?
560  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BTC Altcoins rebound on: July 06, 2018, 11:41:22 AM
did you introduce them to crypto? not a wise move, when everyone comes to you when the market's down  Grin

either way, look at the history and for example:
https://www.turtlebc.com/tools/buy_percentage?period=3years

and it's easy to see, we'll be going up. soon!  Roll Eyes
Or as soon as possible. The chart looks so bullish but the big pump still not yet happened. As far as i can see from my TA and it has broken the resistance wall instantly. I guess it looks so easy to pump altcoin to get above 7k rate. But we need more and more people to FOMO altcoin and bitcoin.

It's been going up on that turtlebc site the last few days, market is much steadier, no big drops.. is this to give everyone false hope and a mega dump coming to 4k soon?
or have we found the floor and gathering power to go up?  Grin wait and find out!
