1041  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: alternative that rivals the ETH on: March 16, 2018, 07:38:34 AM
I think the alternative that competes with ETH is BCH because BCH has great potential to compete with ETH of course. Indeed now for all altcoins including ETH and BCH is experiencing a drastic decline. And like I said earlier that potentially compete with eth is bch

but BCH is just a Bitcoin fork?
there's no tokens, smart contracts on BCH?
1042  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: any Signature Campaign for Newbie ??? on: March 14, 2018, 04:32:32 PM
how much does this actually pay?
looking at the first comment's link here, it's like 20 tokens per week.
in general, that couldn't be more than like a dollar?
isn't it more productive to work for an hour and earn $5(guess depends on country), and buy 100 tokens instead of posting for a week?  Huh
1043  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance Coin (BNB), buy? on: March 14, 2018, 03:18:02 PM
that has already been in their whitepaper since start, so it's already been "priced in" since a long time.
check out coinmetro in my signature instead  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes
1044  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Warning of a Scam!!! on: March 14, 2018, 01:39:30 PM
there's many fake links like those, and Google for example has Ads that looks like that.. for all the big exchanges and like myetherwallet etc
very bad but that's partly the price of going decentralized, there's noone there to refund when you screw up  Roll Eyes

edit: you should use 2 Factor Authentication for all exchanges
and possibly get a hardware wallet and keep all your funds there, it's impossible for someone to take your crypto without having physical access to the device(and knowing the PIN), or if you give out the 24 seed word recovery. if you keep anything above like $500, it's smart to invest $50-$100 in a hardware wallet.
1045  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can myetherwallet still work? on: March 14, 2018, 01:37:52 PM
the best practice is to manually enter the url myetherwallet.com, don't google it because some top links have weird characters in them that are hard to spot
or use MetaMask
but both of these still put your funds at risk since you are exposing your private key to the internet, the easiest is to have a hardware wallet
the best is to have a hardware wallet Or maybe keep a seperate OS installation like linux that you Only use for transactions

a slogan like that is really unprofessional  Lips sealed
1047  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: #TRX Review of the coin on: March 14, 2018, 10:40:59 AM
"- The only drawback of the project is the long-term nature of the roadmap."
yeah right, the only drawback is that it's a piece of overvaluated garbage, what do you base your analysis of? youtube?
1048  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: South Korea’s Millennials Are Holding up More in Bitcoin Investments on: March 14, 2018, 10:34:17 AM
"The foundation said 14 percent of 2,530 South Korean adults surveyed in December said they experienced buying cryptocurrencies."
that's actually quite a high percentage.. I wonder what the equivalent is in other countries, if 14% were the average, it'd be cause for concern imo
1049  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what to do if bitcoin decreases? on: March 14, 2018, 10:32:56 AM
people who invest for "get rich quick" will also end up selling the moment it starts going down.
if you are in this, you should be willing to hold(unless you daytrade).
people who go buys bitcoin for 10k and sells next week for 9k saying bitcoin is a scam = bad for crypto
1050  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When an ALT gets listed on exchange how is the price determined? on: March 14, 2018, 10:01:33 AM
but someone has to do the first sell/buy anyway? if someone buys from an ICO at $1 and then later on is the first to sell at an exchange for $1.5, that'd set the price?
1051  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Google banning crupto ads on: March 14, 2018, 08:21:37 AM
why would it be relevant at all if Google and Facebook bans crypto ADS?
its just Advertisements? who advertises, ICOs?
not really a big deal at all

some investors discovered crypto through adverts, adverts sparks interest of the people and they somehow click ads and found it interesting and so they learn more about it and send money for the project funds. its adds the flow of money going into the marketcap overall. if fb and google bans the advertising then its going to slow down the development. adoption may take years and years which made this relevant.

it's not like the people who click ads on facebook and google stands for a majority of the future money that will come into crypto(my opinion).
for the average consumer, I find it unlikely they care what so ever about What they are using (like blockchain-based things or not),
while the decentralization seems useful in terms of currency, the real adoption would come from the real world use cases in various industries(my opinion).

I just can't imagine facebook and google ads being all that relevant, sure it has a relevance, but not like it's a make or break for crypto, nor that it would prolonge 'adoption' for years..
it's not like any rich people are taking investment advice from advertisements on facebook, how much does the Average user put in? a few 100 or 1000 dollars?
how many billions could various industries gain from using blockchain technology?

it might even be good, considering how many new users came in december/january.
that insane growth that happened at that time was obvious to come crashing down,
and with all the regular people without any clue about what they're investing in,
they're all going to sell off quite quickly the moment it goes down, causing a chain reaction.

Compare that with those who know what they're investing in, and therefor don't feel the need to sell off.
if anything, it's more like people being worried there's noone to take their bags in the soon future

1053  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why do people think that ETH can Overcome Bitcoin? on: March 14, 2018, 07:57:57 AM
when we leave bitcoin as the primary trading pair I think bitcoin will start dropping,
only because bitcoin was first doesn't make it the best. bitcoin is what most people has heard of, but in time that will change.
what's the point of bitcoin, currently it's slow and expensive to transfer, it's not viable as a currency (atm).
isn't it just a 'storage of value'?
1054  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can world Government Kill Crypto? on: March 14, 2018, 06:30:45 AM
absolutely YES, and they will do it.

just one reason: the more money enters crypto, the less control goverments have against people. Also the banks get less money to lend and that's a huge loss in return.

Goverments will destroy crypto. We are just 1 week away. Sell what you have, it's an advice.

isn't part of the point of decentralization, that you can't just "destroy" it?
there's not a server you can go turn off
1055  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: EOS token to expire in June on: March 14, 2018, 06:25:00 AM
you just have to go to their site and follow the instructions to get in on the snapshot
1056  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs Ethereum on: March 14, 2018, 06:18:55 AM
I vote for bitcoin because that is the first coin. Ethereum has no reasonable  advantages as paying coin and the future of smart contacts is quite fogginess
how can you say it has no advantages as a paying coin when fees + time in bitcoin is a lot higher than ethereum?
smart contracts are going to be a huge market, bitcoin is indeed the first coin and the most known one which is probably the major reason for it's current value.
myspace was before facebook, what happened with myspace? just because you are first doesn't mean you're best
1057  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins You Think will Grow on: March 14, 2018, 06:14:16 AM
it's probably smart to divide up into categories, like
privacy, platform, currency, and invest in each one,
but what more categories are there?
1058  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the next good ICO? on: March 13, 2018, 05:06:03 PM
CoinMetro is a Very Legit project, everything is really good, just take a look around their page/join the telegram and make your own opinion.
I also wrote a post about them here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2993800.0
1059  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Panic Sell ? / Chance on: March 13, 2018, 08:23:33 AM
I think a big part of the issue is people thinking, wow look at bitcoin, $1 to $20,000!
and people buy in, then the moment it starts dropping it's a chain reaction of uncertain people panic selling.
the end 2017 growth was bound to crash at some point, and the more clueless people who are in it, the bigger the crash.
1060  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WHAT IS GOING ON? Come back form holidays and everything red????it is over? on: March 13, 2018, 08:19:08 AM
I think the next huge bullrun will come from adoption by industries(not buying coffee with bitcoin), and that might happen a bit this year but it's the long run we're in now
