1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: MINING BITCOIN CASH (BCH) on: May 11, 2024, 12:42:01 PM
How to mine Bitcoin Cash(BCH)? Sorry fellas, I'm absolutely amateur in blockchain.

Can you tell me the reason why you want to mine a fork of Bitcoin? It is indeed on the top 50 coins according to market capitalization, whereas the competition to mine it will be high and it won't be easy for you to get the block rewards if you are a solo miner.

As you have mentioned that you are a newbie it is better for you to first do some research on mining cryptocurrencies. After you have done your research you should visit this website whatotmine to understand which cryptocurrency is trending for miners and what are the block rewards that you will get. It's important to note that some of the coins listed on that website may be fake, created by scammers to take advantage of your hash power.

First, do your basic research about the kind of investment you need and the amount of electricity bill you will need to pay then venture into the mining ecosystem as a miner.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / From this list Which one will you Invest in for Max profit? on: May 11, 2024, 12:27:06 PM

I already got airdropped Shiba INU through a trading competition so my quote of meme coin is over. For defi, I think JTO is a good investment option due to the hype created by meme coins on Solana. I am not into gaming or RWA that is the reason I cannot comment. I have not been active in the altcoin zone for a long time now and that is why I am asking the community. What do you guys think and what is the reason for your investment?
3  Local / India / Re: Binance Exchange is coming back to India. on: May 11, 2024, 12:12:19 PM

Binance became FIU compliant recently then how can the government ask for user details of Tax evasion when the law is meant for suspected financial transactions. Above all Binance was never under the jurisdiction of the government of India as it never had any office in India. After this they will need an office in India and have to provide any details the government requires from them.

As @Bureau said, we don't know what are the terms Binance agreed to when they decided to come back and it's just speculation. And government authority might have all the rights to ask about the user data as long as they are the residents of India, cause India imposed the 30% tax on VDA in 2022 so they have every reason to go after who didn't pay their taxes prior they became FIU compliant.

You are right about the part where you said the government of India imposed tax in 2022. That being said Binance was never asked for any data by the government in 2023, only in 2024 they were accepted the government regulations. Basically, Binance only keeps a record of a user transaction for only a year.

If you don't agree then you can check with their support. Last year, while trying to file my taxes I requested Binance to send me the data for the financial year, unfortunately, I am still waiting. They never kept those transaction data and that is why they didn't send me as they knew that it is irrelevant at that time. They have mentioned on their support page that they keep transaction information for six months. For the rest you have to change the date and try, which I did last year but never got any Excel sheet from them. Check this page: https://www.binance.com/en/support/faq/how-to-show-my-deposit-history-within-6-months-5801e72c38f647fd85818c38e1125907
4  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I was holding on to Ledger and I got robbed on: May 11, 2024, 11:57:19 AM
Good morning

I have hold crypto on my nano s ledger since 2017. I have not validated a transaction since 2019 and I noticed a few days ago that my seed ledger was emptied.

Between 2019 and 2023 I had health problems, so I abandoned crypto and my computer.

My ETH, LTC and Dogecoin were stolen.

I contacted Ledger and there is nothing they can do. They told me to file a complaint.

I followed the ETH on etherscan and it happened on an unknown wallet then it was transferred to Binance immediately. I contacted Binance and they told me the account is under surveillance but it won't let me communicate with the person. They told me to lose complaint too.

I read on Google that people managed to communicate via a chat on etherscan with thieves. I created an account but couldn't find the chat function.

I'm French, sorry if my English is bad

Sorry to hear about your loss!

It's been two years since your wallet was emptied by a hacker and unfortunately, there's nothing that can be done now.. The only option left for you now is to file a police complaint and let them look into this theft. I doubt you will be able to get back the cryptocurrencies even if the police can track the hacker. The problem with a ledger wallet is that somehow these hackers can get access to your wallet through the backup seed phrases even if you have only once connected your wallet to the internet. You are not alone who has come across such a theft, if you do a Google search you will find a lot of articles about it. There was a time when everyone used to buy and recommend ledger wallets as of now it is not recommended anymore.
5  Local / India / Re: Binance Exchange is coming back to India. on: May 11, 2024, 10:52:11 AM

I doubt this is going to affect anyone who had traded prior because Binance accepted to follow the law from yesterday onwards before that they were not. But, no one knows what kind of aggreement they have signed with the government of India as the fine looks very less.

We do know that government of India is being anti crypto since the beginning so I can assume they are not going to let anyone free who didn't pay their taxes and Binance will not hesitate so share whatever information FIU seeks because they are not taking any chances here because their potential market is 1.5 billion users.

Also, a lot of speculations started about getting tax notices sooner or later but for sure who didn't pay their crypto taxes since 2022's financial year.

Binance became FIU compliant recently then how can the government ask for user details of Tax evasion when the law is meant for suspected financial transactions. Above all Binance was never under the jurisdiction of the government of India as it never had any office in India. After this they will need an office in India and have to provide any details the government requires from them.

OP there are enough evidence that proves that you have been indulge in alt farming. You have been lucky for quite sometime now but eventually you got caught. I know you will probably create multiple accounts again but do remember you will again get caught.

By the way what compelled you to write everything in bold. Do you even understand why bold letters are used in English language. When you are pleading you should write your plead in a way that everyone here should consider to read it. I didn't as I felt you are trying to dictate us with those bold letters.

RCB played well yesterday and is again in contention for the playoffs. What do you think are the chances for RCB to be part of the playoffs? As per my understanding, they still need to win all their games and they will need LSG as well as DC to lose their upcoming games to make it into the top 4. It is tough for them whereas the way they are playing it would become easy if they continue their momentum of winning.

Kohli was the reason why RCB was a winner is what everyone has been saying. Whereas I felt sloppy fielding as PBKS dropped Kohli in the initial overs was the major reason why they lost. PBKS is out of the playoffs because of their bad performance as a team in bowling and fielding. They did bat well but only a few Indian batters till now have given the effort to make them win.

Thanks! Quite a fresh start when ImgBB starts to play games Cheesy Lets hope TalkImg is more reliable Smiley

We've not yet made any decisions about signature campaigns, but I'm sure we'll run other promos on the side at least in the forum.

Playgram

It's good to see that you promptly accepted my suggestion and implemented it. I would suggest you add a screenshot of your platform in your topic to make it more convincing to everyone here as members don't like casinos that are based on Telegram due to the bad reputation that it has in the crypto sphere.

Create your games list that has your stuff rather than listing others then start a signature campaign for at least four weeks would be ideal to evaluate whether you are getting decent traffic from the forum.

It seems that your images are not showing up due to some reason.

11  Local / India / Re: [March 2024 update] Indian Board activity on Bitcointalk on: May 09, 2024, 02:17:56 PM
If someone does apply then it would take ages to get approved. It is better if anyone is inclined in getting merits to contact the global merit source and ask them to review post. It has been done previously and if you want @Bitxoin Smith I can help you with a few names. Above all I can request @icopress, if he is now a merit source to look into our board.
12  Other / Meta / Re: Are no-KYC services banned? on: May 09, 2024, 01:41:48 PM
After reading all the replies can I say that there is a shadow ban on non-KYC exchange. My straightforward reasoning is that none of us know how to work out to find bad money in the form of Bitcoin. It might be an issue but there are great minds here who could find a solution to this issue. That will be the next step to wipe out Bitcoin's negative fame.
13  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🔥 BC.GAME IPL 2024 Participant’s Exclusive Discussion Thread on: May 09, 2024, 01:19:24 PM
I was never a big fan of KL Rahul, but it is humiliating and disconcerting to see such a pathetic response from LSG owner Sanjiv Goenka in front of a live audience. For me, this kind of behavior is unprofessional and unacceptable. The question that comes to my mind is, will BCCI take action against the franchise owner? If it was a player then they would have taken strict action and would have fined the player the match fee.

I am still confused whether the owner is angry or is giving advice to KL Rahul. Do remember he is sone in law of a famous Bollywood celebrity who has a commendable PR team that made him a star. He might have used this opportunity to get him placed in the squad of an upcoming ICC event. As per my understanding this is another PR strategy to make KL Rahul look as he is on the recieving end as a captain who tried his level best.
14  Local / India / Re: How whales convert their crypto to INR! on: May 09, 2024, 12:41:39 PM
@Bitcoin Smith, whales never convert crypto to INR. A whale can be considered as an institutional investor or a private investor whose main objective is to gain high profit through market manipulation or short selling. A whale is not like a retail investor who will need money after a certain amount of trade. They invest with certain goals and unless they achieve it they keep funds on the exchange as explained by @Bureau.

Do remember a whale is not a guy who is alone as he will have employees working under him to look into all aspects. They generally don't convert crypto to fiat whereas they use NFT, STO, and other options to hold on to their profits. That is why the NFT market never follows the crypto market which has been proven multiple times, if you do not agree then do a Google search.
15  Other / Meta / Re: Are no-KYC services banned? on: May 08, 2024, 01:26:34 PM
I was going through the replies and found most users are condescending to each other. The whole argument again stands on the point, how to find dirty money or how to recognize dirty money? Ultimately it is @Theymos who banned mixer advertisements in the forum and it is his responsibility to decide whether a non-KYC exchange should be allowed to start a signature campaign.

The Sceptical Chymist, argument meant that in the future an exchange like MEXC Global cannot start a signature campaign as they don't know the source of the payment. We know mixers will take Bitcoin and the payment will be in Bitcoin whereas a non-KYC exchange will allow withdrawal in other cryptocurrencies. The problem with mixers is that they allow dirty Bitcoin mixing to get legally white Bitcoin. The concept was always clear but we are making it confusing but now it has been made complicated and in the future, I feel that non-KYC exchanges will not be able to advertise in the forum.
16  Local / India / Re: ED seize and possess funds from scam is new and unexpected! on: May 08, 2024, 12:52:48 PM
I just got this notification in my browser yesterday and I really surprised ED seized funds from exchanges wallets that assumed to be involved in the scam happened in 2022 got back in their possession. If I am not this is the first time I ever read something from Indian government authorities successful going after crypto scam/hacks.

ED seizes funds worth Rs 90 crore kept in Binance, ZebPay, WazirX wallets

This seems good because crypto scams on the rise ever since crypto came to lime light in India especially Bank account freeze because the money we recieved is involved in some kind of money laundering so this kind of actions can put an end to bank freezes?

Since this money is linked with a scam website, I think the action is fair! The scammers need to understand that crypto is not their safe heaven. The reputation of crypto market is not really great when it comes to illegal practices. However, when authorities take action for something criminal, that's good! I hope that no common person has lost their money due to this seizure. But this is just the tip of the iceberg. Crypto scams are on rise everywhere. It is really hard to distinguish between legal or illegal transactions.

This is just the beginning and it shows how much ED is now involved to catch hold of these scammers. In most cases, I have seen scammers used cryptocurrency to lure investors by using MLM leaders to convince investors. Those leaders at the top would make money and leave the concept whereas those who join in the lower end are the ones who lose money.
17  Local / India / Re: India cricket Discussion and predictions [self-mod] on: May 08, 2024, 12:14:45 PM
Yesterday Sanju Samson's out was controversial. I felt he wasn't out but the TV umpire goofed it up and further he has now been fined 30% of match fee because of his argument with the field umpire. This is not the first time that TV umpires have given wrong decision after taking help of the technology. I feel the time has now come to replace TV umpires with AI umpires who will take the right decision.

That was not an out it was a six but the TV umpire goofed up once again. This might be the third or fourth time that a TV umpire gave a out that wasn't an out. I don't understand how do they make such mistakes when they have technology in hand where they can verify their reasoning multiple time. The BCCI should take such incidents in account before selecting the umpires for IPL.
18  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🔥 BC.GAME IPL 2024 Participant’s Exclusive Discussion Thread on: May 08, 2024, 12:02:52 PM
Another controversial decision by the TV umpire. What was your reaction when you saw Sanju Samson declared out after TV review?

I am certain it was a six as the toe did touch the boundary cushion. Wrong decision by the TV umpire has now become a new normal in this year IPL. If they are not able to use technology to their benefit then why use it?

He does know that this WC will be his last to get the trophy otherwise he will never be known as a captain who won the trophy as for batting he has been over shadowed by Kohli.

Rohit Sharma might not have won the trophy, but you can't disagree with the fact that India's run in ODI world cup was formidable. In finale too, until Rohit was on crease the team's ship was sailing smooth, only when he got out did things went downhill, his dismissal was major cause why India lost the world cup.

Fair point but for how many days Rohit will be gaining the sympathy of the nation after the ODIWC. What has happened has happened but the future is not that bright. He is not fit yet he gets to be the captain. He has not be able to bat in T20 format still he is the captain. He was chosen before the IPL had started and in the meantime everyone was focused on the SR of Kohli in T20.

19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Jeremy Rubin coming out of retirement - "You can't deny it's Jeremy Season" on: May 07, 2024, 03:33:00 PM
To be fair not a lot of things come up with Jeremy Rubin when he is searched.

The reason being he is nothing as compared to those developers who tried thier level best to make Bitcoin as big a sit is now. To my understanding he is a controversial individual like OP. If you look into those negative trust you will be able to understand. Who knows he is the same individual who is now trying to promote a frustrated tweet from a developer who left Bitcon and now he is coming back with a vengeance  Grin

Anyway, wtf is going on with Delhi? lol
DC is fully dependent on their opening pair and in particular J. Fraser-McGurk. He did his part and got them a good beginning , as usual they didn't use it for themselves. This is not the first time that he helped DC. What I feel bad is that as soon as Rishab Pant was announced as part of the team his abilities as a batter can be questioned.

For me what we see is what we know. As for me Rishabh Panth is struggling after getting selected. The question now is to know whether BCCI selection team will rethink what they selected. Starting with Rohit Sharma and a few others on that list.
