^ The target for India is 254 runs, Australia was not looking good in the middle over. Ollie Peake came and increased the run rate to get them to a decent total. I think that this is a good target and it would take some struggle by the Indians to chase the target. If India's openers and middle order do not fail like they did in the semifinals then it would be easy for India to defeat Australia. The bowler who can get wickets in the first power play is Straker as he was impressive against the Pakistani team. If India-U19 wins today then it would be the sixth time that they will win the U19 WC which is will be the maximum number of times by any country.

I was going through the replies on this thread and it seems everyone has the same stories. It was either friends or family members who got every respondent on this thread into social gambling at first. Then it shifted to serious gambling and some of you might be into hardcore gambling. The problem in our society is that we cannot change our family members or our friends but we can surely avoid them. It is not as easy as it sounds but it can be achieved for the greater good of oneself and for our betterment. It is a fact this is how anyone here would have been introduced and got addicted to any addiction in the world. I am no saint as I was also introduced to and encouraged by someone near me to gambling.

You can see how Deltin operates its casino, it ridiculous what loophole they are using. For readers, who are unaware, land-based gambling is unethical in India, so Deltin built its casino on a cruise ship and put in their middle of the water so that they can use the loophole and allows gambling. It a nice place to visit in Goa, I might when I get time.

Its similar here, they are businessmen and they are taking advantage of the situation. In other words, it is how they show a middle finger to the government's idiotic policies.

I was not aware of this casino! Then I did a Google search and saw they have a rating of 4.3 with 28k+ Google reviews. If I remember this history part correctly then Las Vegas was the only place in the US at the time when alcoholic beverages were banned in the country for selling bootlegger alcohol as there was a loophole in that law that did not prohibit bootlegger alcohol. They were busy selling it for two years without any issues until the government later realized the problem. These individuals are currently experiencing the fog of uncertainty which can lead to discoveries.

Yes, China is able to confront the United States economically. China is not better off than the United States and is not a friend of crypto, but this game is being played because there is a cold economic war between China and the United States, and because of these hostile policies that the United States is pursuing towards crypto companies, it gives a valuable opportunity to China. To pull the rug from under its feet and attract it towards Hong Kong, which belongs to China, through the openness laws it issued in the recent period.

There are many companies that have already moved to Hong Kong or opened offices there, and with the continued US tightening policy, I believe that most companies will migrate there.

I am not sure how long the US will continue with such an aggressive attitude towards crypto business. They earlier used SEC to pressurize the CEX and now they are trying an alternate approach to pressurize DEX. In such a situation, these companies would shift their base to countries as miners did when they got banned in China. What I understood till now is they are using ETFs to start controlling popular cryptocurrencies and Bitcoin. At the same time, they are going after CEX earlier and DEX now to expand their control under a centralized institution named SEC.

465  Local / India / Re: CoinDCX CEO expects crypto tax to be reduced after 2024 election. on: February 10, 2024, 01:13:02 PM
We can only speculate here.

But putting in some logical facts together, since the government has blanket banned the crypto exchange URLs via the ISPs, a bigger ban is going to be official some time soon, my guess would be through the next budget.

Bad days come before good, we can just hold on through the storm.

Shadow ban is only applicable for 7 international exchanges not all international exchanges. Furthermore their primary focus is on Binance as it has the biggest Indian customer base. If they want to put a formal ban then they would have to ban Indian exchanges and all other international exchanges. I don't this it is possible for them to come with a complete ban, the blanket ban would remain and users will now shift from Binance to other international exchanges.

About the statement from the co-founder of the Indian exchange what do you think?
466  Local / India / Re: India cricket Discussion and predictions [self-mod] on: February 10, 2024, 12:28:26 PM
Pathum Nissanka joins the elites with the innings of a lifetime. He creates history y becoming the only Srilankan batter to achieve the double century feet.

What suprised me the most is that out of the top 10 players, four are Indian and in the top we have Rohit. Those were the days when Rohit could single handedly defeat the opposition team. Good to see a Srilankan on that list after so many years as they were once, one of the finest cricket team 10 years back.

KS Bharat didn't do much in second test that there could be harm in his replacement, so Dhruv Jurel can be surely given a chance, he'll certainly do equivalent to Bharat if not better.

For Jadeja, Washington can be added, and Sarfraz for middle order strength.

I also feel Jurel should be given a chance as Bharat should be dropped because of his performance in test cricket. When India has an option of another wicket keeper then why not use it.
467  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: New SEC Requirement for DEX Liquidity Providers on: February 10, 2024, 12:13:11 PM
The SEC  only governs the American financial system, but America rules the world. All countries in the world fear American sanctions, so they will abide by American laws and standards. Therefore, the laws enacted by America quickly turn into almost universal laws.

In addition, all large companies want to work in the United States because it is the center of global finance and trade, but with such strict laws, I think that companies will leave the United States little by little to search for a more open environment.

The only country that can counter the American influence is China. China has a region under its control that has now become a hub of crypto investment and that is Hong Kong. The United States cannot pursue any organization or individual that has relocated to that region of the world. They anticipated that the Americans would employ tactics to regulate cryptocurrencies and the related industry. Therefore, they are implementing favorable laws for cryptocurrency businesses and encouraging people to move to Hong Kong.

I understand that large companies want to tap into the opportunity that they get in the US. That they will only be able to do this if the law favors them and helps them to grow in the market. What we are seeing is favorable laws being laid for those companies that are in the financial business and unfavorable laws for those who were never part of the financial business in the past. Such steps will only hamper their economy and will help their rivals to grow.
468  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can't Access LTC Casino on: February 09, 2024, 01:29:26 PM
What’s the deal with LTC Casino? Is it just me or has it straight up vanished into thin air?  Huh

Seriously, I'm losing my mind right now trying to figure out this mess. Dropped some coin there like any other day, ready to roll, and suddenly, it's like hitting a wall. Can't get through, and Down.com also confirms that it is offline.

It's like LTC Casino's gone ghost on us. No trace, no track, nothing.

This whole vibe is way off. If anyone’s got the scoop or can even get a peep of the site, hit me up.

I found the casino on Google and clicked the first link it went to a blank page. I think as you said the URL link address was https://www.ltccasino.com

Whereas it has changed as correctly written by Jawhead999, what I am wondering is why they did not forward the domain name to this new address. Such an irresponsible attitude is not acceptable in the online gambling world. I am hoping they should have shared this decision on their social media handles. If not then @OP stop using this platform as they might scam you in the future.
469  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Im so new....Please can someone help me? on: February 09, 2024, 01:08:45 PM
blockchair.com is just an explorer, they can't or never hold anything.

"Tap Account" wallet is new for me, can you give the URL link?

I guess you're get scammed since there's no such liquidity check, unlock fee, or something like that except lack of coins that used to pay the transaction fees.

Another guy getting scammed and you are right why will they use the blockchair.com example? There is only one reason if they have started their transaction accelerator like memepool.space is doing now. I do not use their Bitcoin explorer as I am pretty much into the other, if anyone is using it then please confirm on this thread whether they offer the option of accelerating a Bitcoin transaction.

This is the new business model these Bitcoin explorers have ventured in, which according to me would be a more profitable and worthwhile opportunity for these guys. If they have to sustain their business then why not venture into something that a Bitcoin wallet(except Electrum wallet) provider cannot provide, that is helping users by deducting the satoshi from the transacted amount itself? The confirmation would happen very fast there is no doubt about it when you go ahead with it.

What I am not happy about is that the amount of Satoshi is too high. This is why @OP should rethink his choice of investment and the platform he used to invest his lost money. This is a bad situation for him and I am sorry for his financial loss.
470  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: New SEC Requirement for DEX Liquidity Providers on: February 09, 2024, 12:49:55 PM
Gary Gensler may look like a clown sometimes, but he's no fool. Any collar should be put on gradually. At first the sum will be 50 million, and many people don’t care about it. Then the amount will decrease to 5 million, but it will be difficult to argue with this, because there will be large fines or prison sentences for violations. And in the United States, such crimes have no statute of limitations. And then this amount can be reduced to 100-500 thousand.

That looks absurd to me as the SEC only governs the US financial system. Why would anyone outside the US try to go for it? They can easily leave the US and operate in a third world country without getting traced. DEX was built because CEX failed to comply with the concept of privacy, it is easy to make a CEX follow its rules whereas it is not easy for anyone even the government to control a DEX which is being controlled by an anonymous owner and their employees.

Look at the condition of the Binance CEO he accepted his punishment, paid those fines which looked more like extortion to me, and still was jailed. Does anyone know any owners of a DEX or those who are funding the liquidity of a particular token? It is a stupid law and it will remain stupid for me unless it has some substantial elements that prove that these guys can be traced who are pumping money.
471  Local / India / Re: Paytm Bank will no longer operate starting from March 1. on: February 09, 2024, 12:29:00 PM

I am looking for alternatives, do you guys know any way to move the funds to bank account without completing KYC?

I saw opt out permanent closure is an option but yet to try any method.

Try the bolded option as I do not think you would need to complete KYC for it. The best is My FASTag which is a product of the National Highways Authority of India or NHAI that one is good. I understand you have a bank account with ICICI if I remember correctly, they would have a system within their banking app or an external app to provide the service. Like Kotak which is my bank, I have a FASTag service built into the bank app which I need to reload the account every month by INR 1000. I have been using it from the beginning and I have not faced any issues unless there is a server issue.

However what is going to stop working is paytm payment bank and not paytm itself. Is Fastag running in the app or in the payments bank? If its the former then you might not have to withdraw it.

I guess the government will have to increase the deadline because some users will be in similar situations too.
#feelsbadman

Not sure whether RBI would give relaxation with the dates as it will only encourage Paytm to do more illegal activities. FASTag is a product of NHAI and they have banned it on Paytm apart from the ban they received from RBI for Paytmbank. They were using a nodal Paytm bank account to process all FASTag payments which is why it will become redundant after 29th of February.

^ I also thought Australia would win comfortably but it was rather nailbiting finish. Regarding final, India looks better compared to Australians, India has been throughout consistent in this tourney and if we talk about history then India also has more trophies in u-19 wcs than Australia, so I'd bet on India to win this one.

They had to chase 180 runs and that made me believe that Australia would be able to get the small target. Unfortunately for Australia Pakistan bowled and fielded well and the match went till the 49th over with 9 wickets gone for Australia. The problem with India is that they tend to choke in the semifinals and finals of the ICC tournament like we saw in the last World Cup. I fear these young lads do not come into the same situation as their seniors did while playing at home and in the finals of the WC.

I know that the Indian U19 is very good and has got a good batting depth. Still, the uncertainties these kids created in the semifinals were actual and thanks to Dhas and the captain of the team they were able to overcome a certain defeat. They have been playing well through all the games and they have always been on the dominating side whereas in the semifinals they were on the receiving end.

Tom Straker is a skilled bowler who can inflict significant damage on the Indian batting line-up. After his impressive performance yesterday, the Indian team is certainly aware of his capabilities. In a crucial match against Pakistan, Straker single-handedly dismantled their batting attack by taking six wickets. What a way to announce the world at a small age that he has to be in the national team to represent his country.

I have made another partial payment of $70 towards the existing loan amount. Please confirm that you have received it. Thanks once again for the help.
Received 70$. Please repay the rest of the amount on time as usual.

I have made a small partial payment towards the loan amount of $20. Please confirm that you have recieved the amount and thanks once again.
474  Local / India / Re: Paytm Bank will no longer operate starting from March 1. on: February 08, 2024, 12:11:17 PM

I am not sure whether we can use Paytm fastag or not, but I already initiated closure of my tag that I have been using it since 2018, and they said funds will be credited in 5-7 working days.

But sound box and UPI channel may not be affected due to this issue, or at least that is what they show in their app page about what will work and what won't after 29th Feb. I wonder what will happen to each and every store in India that uses Paytm sound box for their UPI payments?

Did watch the recent video of Labour Law Advisor? They came out with a new video only about Paytm and how this company has been manipulating its customers. You should watch it and they have mentioned that the @paytm address would not be usable after the ban gets activated from the 29th of this month. They have given the reason why it will not work, I feel Burea might have come up with a reply on your thread after watching that video. What he is writing has been discussed in that video too with detailed information and their views. Here is the link - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aJBO5arsQrU&t=9s

Wait a minute is this a leap year? It caught my attention when the 29th came as a date for the ban. LOL!  Grin

475  Local / India / Re: India cricket Discussion and predictions [self-mod] on: February 08, 2024, 11:36:44 AM
The second semifinals of the U-19 WC prove why Australians are so good with the ICC tournament. Their U-19 destroyed the Pakistani team by bowling perfect line and length and doing good fielding. They would win the second semifinal comfortably as the target they got from Pakistan was 180 runs. Watched the last 10 overs of the game and I haven't seen such poor batting by Pakistan. The batters were struggling even to take single runs. This bowler Staker took 6 wickets today when his team needed the most. The finals would be played on Sunday and it won't be easy for India to defeat the Australian team.

476  Local / India / Re: CoinDCX CEO expects crypto tax to be reduced after 2024 election. on: February 08, 2024, 10:46:39 AM
You both are correct with your analysis as of today I am hearing some more speculating news. The news is that in the next budget, the government will implement the Crypto Regulation Act of India with some more information about taxation. This is being discussed by a few Indian crypto influencers on YouTube. I don't follow any influencer blindly but if they are discussing such topics something is brewing. Let's wait for the mainstream media to come up with an article quoting their source from the Ministry of Finance.
477  Local / India / Re: A New crypto futures Exchange is in line - Pi42 on: February 08, 2024, 10:41:17 AM
Intresting! I was invited to thier launch and I was one of the first to register on it. I wanted to complete my KYC but I stopped, the reason is the same it's futures trading. The concept is to get users who want exception from TDS which they are selling before the launch and after the launch. They managed to find a loophole in the current tax law which they did it smartly. But futures is not my cup of tea and what you said is correct the exchange would benefit more than the user. Futures is pure gambling but sometimes it does help the spot traders if you know what I meant  Grin
478  Other / Politics & Society / Re: World Cancer Day on: February 07, 2024, 01:37:24 PM
I great amount of pain goes out to those suffering from cancers. I wasn't a victim of this deadly disease whereas my family has gone through this disease and it's repercussions. My father died because of it and my partners mother is struggling with it.

What makes me more frustrated is that the doctors have already said that cancer would be the cause of death for every one in my country by 2030. The situation is really alarming and we as citizens of a third world country cannot do anything as we are surrounded with the reason that causes cancer on a human.

I am not that good in condolence or being sympathetic with anyone in general. I do empathy with those families who have been in that situation as I have experienced the pain and financial instability. It comes naturally to me whenever such a bad incident happens with someone. This day only reminds me with what I have lost and what no on e should experience. .
479  Local / India / Re: Beware! Gov Planning a Cracks Down on Crypto Traders Evading Binance Ban on: February 07, 2024, 01:11:26 PM
I read the whole part and I guess government may trace the users too even if they have nil balance in their account if they are evading 30% capital gains, but a small relief is FIU is targeting big traders like one who exceeded 10 lakh so they are one mostly will be affected first if they don't pay the 30% capital gains as soon as possible.

This government is more interested in getting tax from 4000 account holders. It is believed that these are highly valued crypto investors who have evaded 1% TDS and capital gain. The law says that not paying TDS can result in 7 years of jail and 5 Lac as a penalty, considering they can track all of them with the help of banks the amount of revenue would be huge. This government is only trying to ruin the hopes of thousands of middle class who were able to make some decent earnings from cryptocurrency trading.

I won't be surprised if we hear kids as in 18-20 years old being part of the 4000 accounts that they are searching now. I still do not think that such a response would make them a favorite in the upcoming elections. What they are doing with one of the biggest crypto communities in the world would end with a deficit with their overall gains in votes from 2019.
480  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: #GambleFI - The big thing in 2024 on: February 07, 2024, 12:54:16 PM
snip..

What you are saying is not GambleFi! It is the intersection between gambling and decentralized finance. It is a blockchain based platform that offers gambling services in a decentralized manner and we know by gambling service what I meant. Except for Bitcoin, I do not consider any other blockchain that is operational to be decentralized. Although some actual GambleFI projects do exist like DAOSports, which is built on the Polygon blockchain. Funfair utilizes the Ethereum blockchain and it is pretty good. I haven't seen them thrive in the gambling industry as yet, but maybe they will as you have predicted in your thread.

GambleFi is more of the likes of BetSwirl and Bookmaker (both under Azuro).

Of course, these two platforms are GambleFI as they are using a blockchain designed and created for gambling.
