361  Local / India / Why not start discussing topics that will make you active here! on: June 23, 2024, 11:46:19 AM
It seems like no one is interested in discussing important topics on this board. For example, is the Bitcoin core still reliable and compatible with the Bitcoin Join Market instructions? Instead, many of you seem to only be interested in current events, rather than developing tutorials related to Bitcoin. I haven't seen anyone attempting it. If someone creates a unique tutorial, I will try to get it pinned and recognized with merits. The last time it happened was when webtricks came up with detailed information about the taxes.

I believe that Indians may not be interested in this forum because there are no tutorials available to help them. I encourage everyone active here to consider creating tutorials about LN, Bitcoin ETFs, and Why Bitcoin? I've suggested some ideas. It would be great if someone could write these tutorials in the local language. If you do not think my conclusion on reviving this board is correct then do reply on my thread. It is important that everyone can post tutorials about anything that is posted on the correct child board or the main board.

Let's start creating topics that will help fellow Indians who are struggling. Let us start promoting our board on those shit telegram channels that have now become a way to either hide tax, or promote shit coins, and all the nonsense. That is how we can get Indians focused on our board as they feel that the forum is now corrupted with the signature campaign.

I have started, WILL YOU?
362  Economy / Reputation / Re: fake bounty campaign on: June 23, 2024, 11:10:58 AM
Why @mprep is still allowing that fake bounty campaign thread to remain active? I can still see applications getting posted, being said that isn't the application posters unaware of this scam or they are simply ignoring the replies made on that thread by some of the trusted forum members or these guys do not understand the English language? Whatever! Posting the active thread image so the mods wake up.

363  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Argentinian Regulators Talk Bitcoin with El Salvador Authorities on: June 23, 2024, 10:52:13 AM
Similar to what was already mentioned before. The whole South America might begin to adopt bitcoin as an action against the IMF and the World Bank. This act is not to entirely stop from taking loans from these global lenders, however, this is to stop these lenders from taking much of the negotiating power. I reckon as bitcoin adopters, these countries can take their good policies on the cryptospace further by also adopting DeFi. If enough countries adopt DeFi, they can lend and borrow from each other pumping total value locked to trillions of American dollars. This will certainly make the head of the new mayor of bitcoin turn to DeFi heheheh.

I do think they should adopt Bitcoin fast if they want to get out of the clutches of the financial institutions backed by the US. But, wait a minute, last year Bitcoin spot ETFs got approved which means some of the big financial institutions in the world now hold more Bitcoin than some countries that are planning to declare Bitcoin a legal tender.

The US is far smarter than a few politicians in the South American countries. I do not think that Bitcoin can resolve everything in these South American countries unless they become a saint or noncorrupt. These countries have a past which is full of internal conflict and greed was the main reason. The rich remained rich but the poor struggled, resulting in migration to the US. The situation will never change unless they as in the politicians want it to change.

To an extent, the president of El-Salvadore has been able to do it with his reforms and his laws. The crime rate in that country has now gone down which anyone can see by doing a Google search. When the crime goes down, tourists from the globe and the US will come to enjoy which will help the country with the dollars they need and the Bitcoin reserve will increase.
364  Economy / Gambling / Re: Ultimate Poker: Native Telegram mini-app Poker Room on: June 23, 2024, 10:26:19 AM
Welcome to the forum! Thanks for letting us know what you guys will be coming up with before the launch. I have noticed recently that a few casinos have launched their platform on Telegram. But, according to my awareness, this will be the first casino to use the TON blockchain. I have a few questions regarding your casino.

1. Why use TON blockchain?
2. How will you handle congestion on TON as it will delay withdrawals?
3. Other than Telegram, will there be a website?
365  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ICC Men's T20 World Cup - 2024 #Cricket Prediction and Discussion on: June 23, 2024, 10:14:25 AM

Also I don’t know but I think that once again we will see that Gleen Maxwell moments when last time he faced to the Afghanistan team and hit two centuries in a single match. Now, have to see what will happen in the next match for Aussies. Today we also saw the difference between Kingstown ground and that Indian ground where we have seen the greatest match ever between Afghanistan and Australia.

Australia always makes a comeback from minor set back and wins the an ICC tournament. Atleast this is what has been happening under the captaincy of Cummins. I skipped the live telecast as I was certain that Australia will easily win the match. I am suprised and confused to understand why did they not bat first after winning the toss, knowing that the pitch was slow spinner friendly. They messed it up when they allowed Afghanistan to bat first.

Both Afganistan openers did play very well as they were the ones who contributed mainly to the target. Afghanistan batting was always a problem and that to the middle order. Moreover they crumble when it is a pressure game but in this match they had the luxury to play slowly that they did and got a decent target on the scoreboard.

Afghanistan bowling has improved a lot in the past years and they utilized this opportunity to create a history and a big upset in a T20WC-2024. I can foresee that Australia might not be able to make it through to the semifinals. Interestingly in the group 2 there are two teams that are fighting to get through and they are ENG and the WI.
366  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: India taxes Cryptocurrencies at 30%, what's next? on: June 22, 2024, 01:12:04 PM
I am still wondering why this topic is till on the wrong board. If OP can legally provide solution then it will be great, if not why suddenly this topic got activated?

There are some questions that I have in my mind as this topic should have been on my local board. I am going to report this topic to the mods and if mods do not move this post to Indian local board then I am going to make an issue.

I know this guy is a scammer, do a little bit of check you will know what this scammer is doing. I will rest my question to the mods as they are not qualified anymore to understand this scam.
367  Local / India / Re: Stay Away from F2F trades if you are from Delhi or nearby! on: June 22, 2024, 12:54:05 PM

Certainly, we should be careful with the kind of person we leak information to that we have anything to do with crypto. Most of these F2F trader could be cyber criminals. And when you see rates that are too good to be true, your instincts should tell you, except you are too blinded by greed to to accept thinking you're making more profit but unknown to you that you might be implicating yourself by just associating yourself with them. When it comes to crypto I prefer to keep my identity private and anonymous for security reasons. Even your closest friend could snitch on you.

P2P transactions from all international exchanges have been a pain in the wrong area. The next option these scammers, black to white, money launder came up with F2F and they got royally fucked. This is the truth, which means following the routine, that is liquidating crypto to INR on a local exchange. I fear we would see some more constipation when anyone is trying to get fiat without getting detected by the government of India.
368  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ICC Men's T20 World Cup - 2024 #Cricket Prediction and Discussion on: June 22, 2024, 12:36:33 PM

I truly agree and I too think India has to be worried about Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma because at this time, they can survive to it but not in playoffs and later when they have to face big teams. I think they have to change their opening pairs.

This will be their last ride with T20 and as of my understanding and what is going on some media channels, this will be their last chance to be part of the T20 tournament. These two individuals will now play other formats after this ICC tournament ends.

As we all know, before this World Cup Virat Kohli always playing on to the third number one down but now they change something which is bad. But still, when he is not in form so place doesn’t matter and Rohit too cannot play well but let’s see what will they do in the next matches. Point of concern is that  this World Cup, Virat Kohli's average is just 9.

He, as in Kohli is still in form but he is struggling with his new position. We will find it out after this match ends and if anyone knows him, he is known for the unexpected. As this is his trademark, that has been always discussed in any game against the neighbouring countries.

There are many articles on the social media discussing this burning issue Should India start worrying about Rohit and Kohli?

This picture shows 100% true portrait of the current form of these two gentlemen's.  Wink

LOL! In your country, such images will get a maximum feed as the mentality is somewhat homo. That is what is called camaraderie and a few teams in the subcontinent have such friendships. Refresh your mind when you post such pic as you are sick!
369  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can Somebody Tell Me About Instant Exchanges? on: June 22, 2024, 12:03:43 PM
Which ones are reliable?
Which ones are people actually using?
How do they work?

I do not understand what you meant by instant exchanges as all cryptocurrency exchanges are instant. If you want to find about non KYC exchanges, that I think you are asking then visit this website - https://kycnot.me/

They have a list of non kyc exchanges where you can trade without waiting for KYC approval. Those listed are legitimate but ensure you do your own research before investing your money or doing any trade.

The reason being non kyc exchanges cannot be trusted.
370  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What ruined your chances of investing in Bitcoin earlier? on: June 22, 2024, 11:45:17 AM
snip..

I came to know about Bitcoin in 2011 when no one knew about it in a third world country. This happened cause one of my friend was at that time working in US and through Yahoo chat I came to know about an internet currency.

In 2015 another good friend of mine wanted me to invest in Bitcoin and Ethereum. I ignored him thinking that it will be another bubble that will explode. As of to date it has not exploded and Bitcoin is still a smooth sailor, sailing though the big waves.

The next time I heard about Bitcoin was when it was discussed in 2017 in the Big Bang Theory. I do not remember the episode but it was epic. After that episode I was desperate to be part of this revolution and I started doing some research and found out about this forum.

At first I used those lucrative altcoin bounties to get rewarded and then convert my altcoins to Satoshi. It was a great experience and I still remember how much efforts and time it took me to get to where I am now in the forum and with my wallet.

371  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ICC Men's T20 World Cup - 2024 #Cricket Prediction and Discussion on: June 22, 2024, 11:23:33 AM
Bangladesh vs India

I do not think this match between two neighbours would be that interesting as the match between RSA and ENG. This will again be a one sided affair in which the probability of India's win is high. The only concern is the opening pair of India as both Rohit and Kohli have been an utter failure. It is conclusive that the Indian team management will not try to make any changes. As SKY and Panth have been batting very good with Hardik, the management will like to maintain the same batting order.

The Indian bowling has been exceptional as every bowler has been getting wickets when the team needs it. The fielding has been good till now but it can be improved. I am certain this game will be again dominated by the Indian bowling attack than batting.
372  Local / India / Re: Every upcoming economy or stable economy is now launching BTC ETF! on: June 22, 2024, 11:11:38 AM

I don't think that the government of India doesn't understand how the crypto industry operates. There is nothing complicated about the crypto space that can not be comprehended if one is willing to put in some effort to learn. Learning materials are everywhere and they can easily learn from other countries. Okay let's assume they don't know, but they can easily employ the services of experts in the industry to assist them in making and implementing relevant policies.

They know everything about Bitcoin and cryptocurrency but the problem is that they do not have resources to control the activities. India is densely populated and has the biggest population in the world. The government will need good amount of money to come with resources to control activities. Which of course they are unwilling to donas they think it will not generate any future possibilities. This is where the problem arises that lack of experience and understanding about Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies.

The only problem is that the government doesn't have an interest in the sector. The perception that the reason for not making crypto-friendly policies is that it is used for illegal activities is outdated and archaic. The US and other developed countries once had this mindset but they have moved past that era and are now making friendly policies. Government policies are highly dynamic so I cannot write off the possibility of India approving a Bitcoin ETF in the future.

You are spot on about the government mindset and since it is bureaucratic driven democracy, these bureaucrats tend to avoid complex technology. The US is a capitalist democracy wherein every new innovations face initial hurdles but does get approved after lobbying. India is not a capitalist country but a socialist, in the future things might change but it would not happen in the next 5 years.

Let's goi all in guys! Those who are not part of any signature campaign, please start wearing the signature that @Bitcoin Smith is wearing. It is a humble request and I think it will be fair to promote his application. If anyone is not sure how to replicate the signature then

I tested it, here's the view of how it looks.

But I feel those icons making the texts smaller so I am just sticking with texts alone but anyone is having free signature space wear it and everyone keep bumping the thread until it's approved from time to time.

I thought those icons will give more attention, as you have already tested the signature it is okay if anyone wants to omit them and use only plain text. Another option is to increase the text size. I will work on various other ways to make the signature more attractive and test them. If it looks good then I will add those codes on here.
374  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ICC Men's T20 World Cup - 2024 #Cricket Prediction and Discussion on: June 21, 2024, 11:09:03 AM
I saw two highlights a few hours ago as I was not in the condition to watch the full game. The first was one between IND & AFG, which was interesting as both the openers failed once again. The team management is still ignoring Jaiswal who could have been productive in a pitch that was supporting the batters. They are still going with Kohli who is known to be the best when he comes to bat in the 3rd position. In the end, the Indian bowlers did their job, not to forget Bhumrah who got the first wicket. It is now looking that Indian bowlers are doing much better than the batters.

The second highlight that I watched was between BAN & AUS, Australia was the favorite and they proved it after winning under the DLS, I somehow felt if the match had gone abandoned them BAN could have shared the points with AUS. That could have made them still in the tournament. The next game they will be playing will be with India and in the current situation they will not be able to win. If the game gets interrupted and BAN is not batting first then this game will be more interesting and it will surely check the potential of Indian bowlers.

@pawanjain

It looks like spam to me, if not then do reply whether you are still giving away BTC for solving your quiz. I do not think you felt this thread should have been closed. I may be wrong as I do not understand any updates from you on this thread after 2020 as it has been approximately 4 years now. It is like a time flying by for everyone here as that was when we saw a lot of traffic on our local board.

If you have discontinued with the giveaway then please do lock this thread. If not then please go ahead with it, please do update the quiz questions as they are now outdated. I still do not get my mind right, because I missed this opportunity to earn free Bitcoin by replying to those questions. I would love to see another game like this, but I think giving away meme coins on Solana, will give a lot of exposure to the local board.

I have not applied for the merit source but one of the known members of this forum has applied.
Yeah I know, by "your" I meant Indian merit source, noy you specifically.

LOL! My mistake in understanding the reply  Grin

One of the things I noticed is that he usually approves merit source applications in bulk and only after merit shared drops down significantly and since that hasn't happened yet, I think it won't happen anytime soon so prepare yourself for a little bit longer wait.
Understood! It is how things work but that will make our local board dry. Recently @hugeblack did shower merits to those topics or replies that were significant to the topic. I urge all the global merit sources to give some eyes on the Indian local board.

We discuss our issues and problems in English. It won't be an issue to understand the discussion if a simple Google search about the topic can be done, thanks.
379  Local / India / Re: BWA urges Finance Minister to provide a level playing field on: June 20, 2024, 10:18:05 AM
I have zero hopes! I have zero interest! I don't think we will hear anything positive. My argument is that why will they listen to these guys (BWA)? They as in the government is generating good revenue from taxes. We are living in a nation where we pay high tax, both direct & indirect across the globe. As an example, they never reduced the fuel price when COVID-19 hit which caused the oil barrel prices for the first time to hit the lowest price for the first time.

That is why every middle class citizen in India are trying their level best to move out of this country. The brain drain is such a big problem in India because of so many unrealistic policies. The recent scam of NEET is the best example,  such scams encourage would be doctors and the high education fees to leave the country and study abroad.
380  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ICC Men's T20 World Cup - 2024 #Cricket Prediction and Discussion on: June 20, 2024, 08:58:02 AM
180 target for a team like England, who are the defending champions was not enough. WI fielding was top class but Powel missing two catches behind the wickets might be the turning point of the game. Bairstow was very lucky against the WI there were a few occasions when he should have got out. His luck was in his side don't know how long will it keep him safe.
