121  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: did anyone try groupbitcoin.com for cloud mining? on: May 24, 2014, 11:45:29 AM
Not sure if they are legit or not? I signed up and ordered some services from them 36 hours ago and paid using Bitcoin. The only email I received was a confirmation of my order. I still don't see a fulfilment of my order in terms of the 10GH/s I ordered and I am down 0.058 BTC. I sent an email to their support address and that was ignored too.  Angry OK, it's small change to some but I wanted to see if the order would go through before ordering more. Looks like I was right to be cautious?

Same situation for me - sent .0298 for 5GHs on 5/21 and and got the confirmation mail, but the order hasn't been filled. I also sent a mail to the support address, and no response.  My order # is N12.

When you say 'support address' what address do you mean because we only use info@groupbitcoin.com and don't have anything from you either. Whats going on here do you both work for Cloud Hashing haha

DeathRay1977- You made a small order on Thursday registered on here yesterday just to post that, and you also posted a bad review on cloudminingreviews.com without even talking to us first? If I hadn't have seen this I wouldn't even have known you had an issue.

Call or email (info@groupbitcoin.com) if you ever have an issue there's nothing wrong with either of your orders they're both running.

We're waiting for our fiber line to be installed in our new place to run the stats but you should both see your orders when you log in.

I replied to the order confirmation email that I got - it is the info@groupbitcoin.com address, it didn't bounce back or throw errors, so not sure why you didn't get it. If the orders are active and functional, thanks thats good to hear. Will take a look now.

Ahh ok I think that must be the problem! Can you please email direct. We've just launched our new site a few days ago there's been a few teething problems which we're working on.

All our contracts start when you order, you will get your first payout at the end of this month. Thanks

We've just finished our new place just waiting for BT now to put the fiber line in. Your hardware is on the left - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=622842.msg6901373#msg6901373

Where are the mining rigs?

In the server cabinets. As you can see there's some on the left for our cloud mining service.

The rest is for Colocation - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=622842.msg6901373#msg6901373

in fact that is the exact item i was talking about... and believe it or not you can generate energy using them....

one isue you are going to have with them, is you get a cool side and hot side, you have to use a heatsink on both sides, but isolate the hot side so you can cool it so it doesnt burn the module out....

i have a few of these laying around... i want to figure out how to use the plexi with these...

Yeah thats what I was thinking possibly mounting them under the heat sink on the ant miner to run another fan maybe ?

Cold side facing up hot side touching the heat sink

Have you seen these, you could possible run additional 12v fans off them I plan to buy a few to test it out.

Relatively unknown one of the first businesses to offer cloud mining and colocation in 2013. Rented space in a server room at first, when we outgrew that here's our second facility the mine we built.

Small contained cold aisle, raised access floor, 42u cabinets, cat 6 cabling, custom 32 amp pdu's, up to 96 amps supplied per cabinet at 230v across three phases.

130  Economy / Service Announcements / [www.groupbitcoin.com] Mining Hardware Colocation in the UK. on: May 23, 2014, 08:37:32 PM
Dear Bitcoin community,

We just opened our new mine yesterday on Bitcoin pizza day.

We've been going a while since October 2013 with over 252u’s of rack space we have the largest dedicated mining facility in the UK we allow customers to come and visit us. From only £25 per ‘u’ per month it’s also great value, electricity at cost price 18p per Kwh (the UK average). High power density (96 amps at 230v per cabinet) which is needed for mining hardware and generally isn’t available elsewhere, raised access floor, contained cold aisle with powerful cooling and 24/7 security systems. Extensive internal physical barriers, man trap, CCTV and 24/7 remotely monitored alarms, Perimeter fencing monitored by a security company which is locked at night. Backup internet connections and cat5e cabling which we make ourselves for each cabinet it’s a pain but necessary!

Our current introductory offer is £25 per ‘u’ per month pre paid for 6 months.

Hope you think it looks cool miners support the whole system, happy mining everyone.

You're calling this a pizza? I'd rather call it an cake, i hate these pizzas pizza has to be thin not be like a cake.

agreed.
real pizza, in Italy, is thin and crispy, often with very little on it - maybe some oil and a bit of cheese and whatever fresh veggies you have at hand, a little sausage if you like, then cook it in a wood fired, stone oven.

Dominoe's, on the other hand, reminds me of a dead animal on the highway that has been run over hundreds of times and then left to moulder in the rain. Don't even start with me about Papa John's...a worse pizza was never imagined, not to be taken internally, will induce vomiting.

Americans have no appreciation of true cuisine, sorry guys.

The folded over ones in Italy are really good.

Papa Johns isn't the worst ?!

137  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Biggest Bitcoin Mining Operation in Texas on: May 21, 2014, 11:22:17 AM
This is an awesome setup, but the issue is that in a couple of months it will be obsolete and you'll need to replace all that hardware or be losing money.

That is a circular argument that goes on forever.

Something better is always just around the corner, so why would anyone ever invest in any mining hardware because it will be obsolete in a couple of months?

This is a very good question. Please give me the answer, :p.

Well without miners you wouldn't be on here talking about Bitcoin because it wouldn't exist so it's good that people do.
138  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is anyone else concerned that 43% of the hashrate is from an unknown source? on: May 20, 2014, 11:51:56 PM
Well PBmining claims to be doing 106 THz. There's a small chunk.

And didn't you read the red letters at the top of the page?

Don't worry about pbmining. they don't have actual hardware.

Happy to see someone else has noticed that.
139  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Biggest Bitcoin Mining Operation in Texas on: May 15, 2014, 01:50:57 PM
You could use good old E-126 with 7.5 MW, a few of those are running not far from here in Rheinböllen. They look impressive if you pass near them on the highway, I think they would impress you neighbors and fellow miners too :-)

http://www.windpowermonthly.com/article/1138562/close---e126-worlds-biggest-turbine

And if your mining rig is running hot, you could wire them the other way around and use the as air cooler :-)

There's an elevator inside it !!

$14 million plus install costs thats one expensive fan !
140  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Biggest Bitcoin Mining Operation in Texas on: May 14, 2014, 11:49:56 PM
Cloudhashing put a couple thousand Cointerra boxes in a data center in Texas.  So you're not even close to the largest.

''A couple thousand''.

10 max in a 42u server cabinet. 96Amps @ 230v x 200 cabinets. Lol.

You could use 4 of these but you would still be 600kw short - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/850kw-wind-turbine-Class2A-Fully-pitch-70mtower-56m-rotor-50HZ-5-years-warranty-/310734194543?pt=UK_BOI_Industrial_Tools_Generators_ET&hash=item485933876f

Cool mining operation, making network cables is a pain did you use cat5/6 ?
