In the firmware they must almost certainly have a shut down temp but consistently running at very high temperatures isn't good for them anyway.
We're in London in the UK and we're having to run air con in our server room pretty much 24/7 !

Wifey came home tonight and texted, said our apartment is almost 90 degrees (f) and smells like plastic. I'm out on my 16 hour day right now... We got a freakish warm day, 60 outside in Feb is not normal. Problem is, our apartment building has a chiller system, and we don't have control over it. In the spring every year we have 5 weeks where half the days are warm but they still don't change the heat over to air conditioning. If they do it too early all the old folks bitch about it. It got so bad last year that I had to buy a portable AC unit, just to make it through those few weeks of discomfort, and I wasn't even mining then! So now it's gonna start getting warm out, what the hell am I gonna do?
Probably have to invest in a substantial portable air con unit pretty soon depends how much power you're running. Gets to a certain point where you almost have to match cooling KW's with mining KW's

Is it just me or does this look like a really obvious scam, like embarrassingly bad, the miners look like photoshoped bread bins ? I would agree about the miners not being assembled so neat. Some more tie wraps could go a long way Let's see what the 1.2 will n look like. One thing for sure they are using the best chips on the market. Have you got one ? The 80Gh/s with a toy car on for $1500... I wonder if they sell much ?!

yeah as much as i dont want to except it i am pretty sure we did . well does anyone know of another site that wont scam you that has decent prices per gh? Some of the Big warning signs include: Companies accepting Bitcoin as their only payment method. They're generally either unwilling to disclose account information or don't have one as this makes it easier for the authorities to catch up with them. Websites that demand unreasonably fast payment for example Bitcominers rushed people into panic paying within 3 hours to get such a cheap deal. No phone number isn't a great sign and if they have one call them! Even ask to meet in person, if you're in the same country and they're genuine it shouldn't be a problem Also check the going rate for their product, if it's way too cheap this should ring alarm bells and warrant further investigation prior to purchase. Start small! If they're new and untested don't send your life savings, start with the smallest option to reduce the capital at risk. Most importantly research before you buy! We see countless posts on the forums of people finding a thread about a known scam after they've purchased... Ultimately this is the dawn of crypto currencies with people scrambling to get in before wider mainstream adoption as a way of storing wealth, sending money cheaply worldwide or buying goods online. Some unsavory characters will attempt to take advantage of this crypto gold rush which will inevitably harm it's longer term potential! To quote the old adage 'If it looks too good to be true, it probably is...' I've seen tonnes of these scams recently they normal use the same library picture of a data center with blue sever cabinets. This site is very useful to search for the known scams http://bitcoinscammers.com/If a website claims to be a 'Limited company' don't just take their word for it, check with companies house in the UK http://wck2.companieshouse.gov.uk//wcframe?name=accessCompanyInfoI removed a link to our site as it might be considered spammy

So, there is no way to get your money back now? To bad this scammers can get away with all of it.. I see now their facebook page and twitter account are gone.. I was logged in when it happened and i saw they changed their facebook account to qwe*** something, i did not see it all thou i was in a hurry reading this scam-rapport.. I was really looking forward to get in to cloud mining, but now all my invest are gone.. guess we need to learn the hard way.. If any has some tips to some nice mining contracts i“m all ears. And also, i“m a little bit confused about the thread starter, screaming scam but the user itself has a -4 in trust.. Can we trust him/her? Sure, everybody“s assuming scam, they don“t deliver and the whole "to good to be truth" thing going on, but i still think it is so confusing nobody has anything to complain until now, what happened to all the ones ordering from them? Why haven“t we heard anything until now recently? Where they good until one point or scammers all the way? Check out groupbitcoin.com if you're still looking into cloud mining, I happen to know it's genuine because I run it !

If you have placed an order and paid via Bitcoin since January 31st and have been contacted via email by any person purporting to be a CoinTerra representative offering to discount your order or to move you into an earlier batch, or to sell you a cancelled order from an earlier batch in exchange for quick payment please contact us immediately at itdesk@cointerra.com so that we may investigate it. lolololololol.........roughly translated...your BTC is gone but we don't have it!!!! wow just wow. Every single person who mines crypto needs to stop pre-ordering TODAY and end this madness. If people were getting emails like that wouldn't it be all over the forum??? Yeah that's what I was thinking surely people would have mentioned those emails... Very worrying if you paid by Bitcoin though.

I have ordered miner, cost 2199USD. Unfortunately I paid. I canceled the order, of course they answered that they return me money, but it was last message from them. Now they not answer for may emails. The bank account details which I recived from them is: Account Name: NH Equipment Ltd. Account Number: 13029859 Sort Code: 20-52-74 Bank Name: BARCLAYS BANK PLC IBAN: GB93 BARC 2052 7413 0298 59 BIC: BARCGB21 (*some countries requires 11-digit Swift Code. In this case please use BARCGB22XXX) But from the previouse post in this topic you can notice different account number/id. Janis Construction Ltd. IBAN: GB93 BARC 2095 6100 6377 34 BIC/Swift code: BARCGB22 Bank Name: BARCLAYS BANK PLC Branch address: 46A Ballards Lane, Finchley, London, N3 2BB, United Kingdom On the web page you can check informations about this fake companies. Of course this is scam. http://www.companiesintheuk.co.uk/ltd/nh-equipmenthttp://www.companiesintheuk.co.uk/ltd/janis-constructionThey are definitely scammers.I lost 2199USD. I plan to report it on the police. From personal experience you have to provide a lot of info! to open a Barclays business account. I would strongly suggest you contact Barclays ASAP in the morning explain exactly what happened maybe send a link to this thread, they should hopefully freeze these accounts while they investigate it and you might even recover some of the frozen funds if they've taken loads of orders there should be lots of money which is hard to move especially if its a new account you can't exactly take it all out in cash. I'm certain if someone calls Barclays that has been scammed tomorrow and explain whats happened they will limit those two mentioned accounts and investigate the business.

So are there any legitimate mining contract companies?
Yes groupbitcoin.com I happen to know it's genuine because I run it ! Well you look good but how do I know you're not just another scammer? Does anyone else from this site have a good word to say about you? If they do and when I get another BTC, I'll probably give you a go so thanks I think Well we started in November as a group buy for some equipment, we have lots of happy members it's a bit sad really that people only seem to get mentioned on here for doing bad stuff, for ripping people off. Haven't seen anyone talk about us much and we've got quite a lot of members now we're on cloudminingreviews.com but not much else. Really horrible to see people STILL getting scammed by Bitcominers I first heard about them from someone on our live chat trying to get me to order from their website in broken English?! then a few of our customers told me they'd been ripped off. Any scams will normally be mentioned somewhere on here, shame people don't check out the forums before they buy, surely if they accepted Bank Transfers to a UK account for a while the police will catch up with them ? Surely It's pretty hard to run a fake Barclays account ?!

This is a great post, thanks Terra Hasher.
We've had lots of our customers get scammed by Bitcominers. One guy I spoke to on our live chat said he'd sent them just over 100,000 USD!! How are so many people still finding their site?! Is there no way to contact Google about fraudulent sites ?
I've had private investigator style investors look into me which doesn't feel very nice when you're legit but it's understandable with these kind of scams out there, its just a shame to see and will ultimately harm Bitcoin.

I'm pretty much 100% sure this is a scam I just spoke to someone really suspicious through the live chat on our site he was trying to get me to order the Cointerra machines through that site.
A few hundred $ cheaper than Cointerra ?!!!
A really really weird conversation in broken English be very very careful and the library pictures of a data center are a big give away.

|
|
well is not to reccomand... they'll start in april...2014 reccomand ? Yeah anyway it's the same as buying from Cointerra direct, you would still have to wait until April but you just don't have to front so much money and get it all on your own. (considering running costs) Paying an extra £40-£50 per 100Gh/s for a year of hosted mining with monthly payouts isn't a rough deal. Unless it's a scam! Due to the fact I run it with my Brother in law and can categorically say it's not, I'd definitely 'reccomand' !
