Call to all Russians around!! Can someone please confirm if VK.COM is big over there? We have been asked to include this in the website community page: https://vk.com/DRK_RUSThe only Russian I speak/drink is vodka, so I'm a bit limited to know if this is important enough. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VK_(social_networking_website) just by googling i would say they are like the russian Facebook .. quote : ''second most visited website in Russia, after Yandex.'' Thanks, google was too far away I guess we should be adding that page then. this group has only 6 subscribers and that one https://vk.com/darkcoincrypto has 134

I wanted to send my DRK to bittrex and I see a message "Unable to locate enough Darksend.... funds". Anyone know what happened?
Select no preference in the wallet. Quick question, why is darksend the default option for this? because most people use this cryptocoin for the anonimity, using Darksend gets you that anonimity. The default should prioritize anonimous coins, then non-anonymous coins for the remainder. Current implementation is sub-optimal (everyone newbie will have the same question and will be freaked out). This has been an annoyance for me as logic like that is quite implied imo. This is something that Evan should improve. I agree. It could not only say "there is no funds for darksend" but also ask something like "would you like to send it in non-anonymous way?"

To sum up recent events of the past 24 hours:1) Leak of possible merge between DRK & SDC, discussed by the community, Evan pulled the plugs. ( cancelled) 2) Rumor of OKCoin.com adding DRK on their (FIAT) exchange. 3) DRK featured on FOX 26 news (6-nov-2014): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9YQnYpc52ks4) DRK discussed on Bloomberg TV (6-nov-2014): http://www.businessweek.com/videos/2014-11-06/can-bitcoin-stocks-hold-up-against-the-feds5) Evan testing first InstantX (INSTANT) transaction successfully in ~2 SECONDS: I just got multiple masternodes to form consensus, lock inputs, literally took 2 seconds to lock the transaction in place... then I tried to spend the same inputs for a higher fee. Works!
2014-11-07 01:13:18 ERROR: CTxMemPool::acceptableInputs()::InstantX : invalid transaction, conflicts with existing transaction lock CTxIn(COutPoint(365de7e2831dc8b85c2c94fef5f2b98e86a95e301879c5b3460db69df757deb9, 0), scriptSig=3046022100e2ca0a35ab1373)
Quote and add in case I missed something, please bump! To those waking up and wondering about the price rise... BUMP! 2 seconds was in a very small local environment! It should be 20-30 seconds in production, 10 if we're lucky. More MNs will mean faster InstantX? Also, 30sec max is amazing, but too bad its still a bit too much for poker stuff! not too bad for the first version

"Coming up after the break, we tell you how a Company called Darkcoin is having to defend iteself from online drug purchases..."
Ahahaha. There's the wrong end of the stick. And then there's the wrong stick. And then there's no fucking stick at all. Here's my full statement, can someone not read? Darkcoin is about privacy for online transactions, not drugs. Like Bitcoin, it's a decentralized currency, but with strong anonymity at it's core. As a decentralized currency, we have no control over what our users do with their money, although our terms of use make it very clear that we're against any illegal uses of the software. Criminals have always had options like cash to get full privacy, but many crypto-currency users are becoming very aware of the lack of privacy of Bitcoin, which has lead them to Darkcoin. As a side note, there is no Darkcoin company. It's just open source software that people run on their computers, there's no centralized organization. That's nice and clean statement for those who understand crypto already. I guess they are just trying to cut and say it in their own words so that "average Joe" would understand too EDIT: ps. anyway.. Great job, Evan!

Just one quote at ~4:23 DarkCoin is trying to make a more anonymous Bitcoin

soekip...the guy that hacked iconics fb page and pasted a pic of his daughter on btctalk when involved in blackcoin..is that you You are looking for Ashdrake, I was merely the CM for BlackCoin at the time. Are you the guy from BlackCoin that went to a meeting with a marketing company in surf shorts? We were having some fun with that photo a while back No malice intended, I'm being jovial. Yes, that'd be me . Long chain of events and it was not planned to end up that way. It's one of those stories you'd tell your grand children down the line. Was a good and fun meeting none the less, MBA made a great impression on us back then. lol i think ive seen him once promoting blk , pulls over in a ferrari and fist bumps his chest and blk logos come flyin out,lol
That was wizfarm Good old days... I remember that too EDIT: BlackCasts were one of the coolest thing in crypto community events I believe And that hilarious jump he made http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P2XpOQCtX3U#t=3623 Can't stop smiling looking at this https://i.imgur.com/7IXxLWm.gifEDIT2: man, I'm suddenly feel so old...

Who do all the aliases belong to? Who's Rynomster, ATSECURE....who's the dot?
Ryno is the lead shadowcoin dev, ATC is Dan Metcalfe the XC 'dev' and .: is probably BobSurplus. Crypto is a small and incestuous world, and it's reptiles all the way down. the only one from sdc in that convo was ryno. The rest was xc nope, "the dot" is from SDC I guess [10/9/2014 12:18:07 PM] .: Dan, can you lay out a bit of the direction XC is headed? [10/9/2014 12:18:16 PM] .: The tech XC currently has [10/9/2014 12:18:20 PM] .: And then we will do the same for SDC
Soepkip, can you reveal him?

Awesome! Can't wait to read white paper and to try this in testnet! EDIT: Are we going to ask for security audit by Kristov Atlas once again?

GUYS PLEASE
I know it's all about the FOX news and all the great things happening, but I'd like to remind you that we have to find a solution to reward our current awesome devs and to hire new ones.
As an owner of some Masternodes, I'd be willing to have 10% of my MN reward s go towards paying them.
A company pays its employees, we should pay our devs to ensure their commitment and the project's perennity.
I know that some will say "if they believe in their coin, then investing in it and developing it should be enough".
While they might be right, I think, especially in order to avoid the kind of situation we saw with a potentient coin merging, it would be a good solution to ask MN owners for a little reward effort.
Please let's discuss this.
Regards,
My solution would be automatic - if it can be done..... 70% Miner 25% MN 5% Dev I'm strictly against fixed donation in any amount: - it looks like pre-mine - the word donation means a gift (free)

promises... lets see what is going to be released. anon chat, anon video, sharp wallet is not important. instant tx and anon ecash is important.
Exactly and Shadowcash's implementation of Zero Knowledge will end the anon debate. PERIOD Propulsion ^^^^ theirs everything u need HAHAHAha wait and see the public testnet is very very close and when i say very I mean sooner then you think Heres a link to the first ever Zero Knowledge transaction.. https://twitter.com/CryptoBoh/status/529328798148222976"error" and "Unparsed address" in insight-based block explorer doesn't prove anything I don't think he was intending to prove anything. He was saying the public test will be this week. This has been on testnet. He was just showing you the first ever zk transaction. The proof of that statement will come this week in the public test. SDC open sources everything very quickly so you can then go over the code and check it out for yourself. I encourage you to check SDC's github if you are questioning the developers skills. I don't see any "link to the first ZK transaction", all I see now is just a screenshot of some "broken" block explorer which cannot parse the transaction correctly. But I agree - let's wait and see. And enough off-topic - it's DRK thread after all

The only way to stay untracked DRK...
AS I said, this could be massive for DRK.. If the "underworld" moves their cash into DRK to keep it hidden, then an 8 mil mkt cap is going to explode...
I know but nothing has been tracked, coins will have been seized. If they were using DRK, DRK would still have been seized. Do dark markets operate that way? I'd never use one that did, I want direct trade with my buyer/seller, not to be trusting some shady 3rd party. There shouldn't be anything to be seized, unless your individual buyer/seller gets busted mid deal. Darkcoin + multisig/escrow = silk road 3.0 Good job Darkcoin already has fully funtional multisig then. and there is even pretty cool example in wiki too http://wiki.darkcoin.qa/display/DRK/Multisignature+example
