441  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Decentralized Exchanges on: January 30, 2019, 10:33:24 PM
Exchanges that today call themselves decentralized may in any case be centralized as well. Maybe it will be possible to make it so that today there is a sense to really increase the level of trust in decentralized exchanges? What do you think?
Some decentralized exchanges that have been used over time, have proven their genuineness and have gained the trust of traders and investors, because there has not been any incidence of stolen funds or hack. Which means they are truly decentralized and that your funds are safe.
Those ones that seem to be new, can also be tested for their genuineness
442  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about Post-ICO Bounty? on: January 27, 2019, 10:10:50 PM
Bounty campaign is a very important when it comes to promoting crypto projects.
Had it been it is not that important, then so many projects would not have demanded for it.
Then some have now come up with the habit of not appreciating bounty participants, by paying them their due tokens at the expected time.
When such happens, bounty hunters have now come up with the understanding on how to mare or cause the failure of the project.
443  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think mining is still fair on: January 27, 2019, 10:05:02 PM
If you do not have a good mining gadget, then you might not be able to make good  returns from mining.
In my country, there is an issue with power supply, which to me, is a very important tool in mining.
So for someone like me and one who lives in almost the same vicinity or country with me, might have that issues.
Some have decided to go for masternode than mining.
444  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICOs are a legit or Scam? on: January 27, 2019, 09:59:51 PM
There is no form of investment without its risk. You just need  to learn how to reduce that level of risk. How you now do that is what is of concern.
ICOs are good, but since scammers have proliferated into the system, one has to do much in the place of research.
ICO is a good avenue for making money and some after making the money, they do not care about what happens on exchange.
Despite that, some still rise tremendously on exchange, which means there are still legit ones.
445  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin Gold have a future? on: January 27, 2019, 09:53:16 PM
The adoption of a coin is a very necessary and essential ingredient, needed to measure the degree of success of a coin.
Bitcoin Gold or any coin that is able to achieve this fit,is working its way to the limelight.
Some coins are already at a good stage and are still looking forward for more Mass adoption. Even bitcoin itself is not exempted.
446  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Design is important for ICO projects on: January 26, 2019, 08:38:34 PM
If I am right, design is also the same or almost the same as planning.
If the team of a project decides not to plan for their ICO before lunch, it might lead to failure of the project.
I believe no project team will want to fail, so sometimes, some of time start planning, at least two years before the time of lunch.
I am seeing some projects that are already doing some plannings.
447  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sending in fake ID for KYC on: January 26, 2019, 08:35:36 PM
Some projects do not have any way of testing thoroughly.
I used to wonder how so e people usually agree to do kyc, while so many people are declining doing it. Some of them might even ask the team for kyc and that baffles me.
It was later that I discovered that some of them use fake IDs and will not hesitate to go for just any project for kyc, even if is scam.
448  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: It is hard to detect scammed bounty campaign.. on: January 26, 2019, 08:32:06 PM
OP, it us not as hard as you think, to detect scam projects, running bounty.
Sometimes, you would have just noticed, but if you do not place close attention, you might not think of quitting, because you will still be doubting whether it is genuine or not, or that it might later turn out to be good.
If you really take your time to do the study, you might know.
449  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will NEO become strong? on: January 26, 2019, 08:28:07 PM
Just of late, I have not been hearing much about NEO, except some people I the crypto space decide to discuss about it.
It seems there are no updates on it, except I am not current on what is presently happening about it.
NEO at the initially stage, looked like it will gain more relevance like ethereum has, but the reverse seems tone the case.
Well, is still believe something good will come out of it.
450  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to choose bounty? on: January 25, 2019, 07:03:27 PM
As much as the number of members on telegram can be so important, it can also be deceptive. There are some projects that use bots on their telegram and which is why you see some accounts come to spam what is out on context on the group.
I am after real active members that would ask reasonable questions and quiz the project team.
The telegram group should be a sensitive place for awareness and sensitization, as well as a place to communicate with the community
451  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you buy not top 100 alts? on: January 25, 2019, 06:58:52 PM
If i am buying any altcoin, i am not always concerned whether it is on top 100 or not. My concern is, what has been the developmental processes on such coin and what do they have in stock for the crypto community in future.
Sometimes, you might even find newly lunched coins more interesting to invest in, than some of the coins that have been existing for a long time, because some of them have no actual development to bring in.
A good research will give you a good coin.
452  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ALL Initial Coin Offerings are Trash on: January 25, 2019, 06:54:12 PM
I tried to reason in a particular perspective. Immediately project CEOs are developers started raising money through ICOs, it was then that i perceived that scammers also started thinking of using that means to siphon money from nvestors, because they knew it would work, by playing om their intelligence.
If everyone, CEOs and developers alike cna have the same mindset as Satoshi himself, the crypto space would have been the best place to be.
Not all altcoins are trash, but most are just useless and have no definitive usecase.
453  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The cheapest Altcoin. on: January 25, 2019, 06:33:37 PM
Buying the coins that are not expensive or that have the lowest price is relative.
The lowest price you can think of and that you can buy so many coins, is at 1 gwei. I can assure you of so many shit coins at that price, but buying them can be quite risky.
So many of these coins might not rise above 1 gwei and it they would, it will be for a short while, which you might not be aware of.
There are times that the developer himself is the one dumping on investors.
454  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What do you think about Stellar (XLM)? on: January 25, 2019, 06:28:48 PM
We are already in 2019 and the price of stellar is still very low. Although, this is due to the current market situation, which affects so many coins in the market. Even the newly lunched coins are affected.
The issue i have with XLM is that it is centralized, which makes it not to suit the main agenda and purpose of blockchain. This could be more reason it is experiencing some pumps and dumps.
Despite that, i still see it with the possibility of bringing some profits to its holders, but might also be affected by a lot of factors.
455  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto's worst nightmare on: January 25, 2019, 06:24:10 PM
We are already experiencing the same ups and downs this year. Sometimes even coins that have good deliverable, at the initial stage will also first experience the same, because of the activities of traders. Later on, you will the see such coin rising at an exponential rate.
I have seen a project on DAPP that succeeded greatly last year. Although the ICO just ended the January of this year. The name of the project is Hetachain. It was able to raise huge amount of money through private investors.
456  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ether or altcoins? on: January 25, 2019, 06:16:11 PM
Hey guys what do you think? Is it better to hold ether or altcoins? I think alts are better because they can give you more profit, however it is quiet risky to hold them.
Ethereum is also an altcoin. Any coin aside bitcoin is called altcoin, meaning alternative coin. So bitcoin seems officially the only one called coin. Although, coin can also be sed to address altcoin generally.
When it comes to investing in other altcoins aside ethereum, you have to do a lot of research. That does not mean you should not do the same when investing in ethereum, because you would need some clue as to when to buy or sell.
Ethereum is already an established coin, while most altcoins are just coming up, among which we have shit coins.
457  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 2020 best year for ICO on: January 25, 2019, 06:11:10 PM
ICO period is about to come to an end. Even some projects that are currently in place are already trying STO. If the STO is successful, the trust issue of the ICOs will be resolved. And serious projects will prefer STO.
ICO in my opinion will still be relevant, but not all will work out well.
Considering the way things are unfolding, most of the ICOs we will lunch in the crypto space, will be those that are ready to add value and to give something unique.
It now looks like most investors are beginning to identify the right projects to invest in, which is why scam ICOs are now failing.
If any scam ICO tells you that softcap has been reached, you just have to check well, because most times, it is a lie.
458  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: More and more Scam projects on: January 20, 2019, 10:57:07 PM
The issue with ICOs is that, there are more scams than genuine ones and it takes extra effort to able to find the genuine ones.
There is difference between finding a good ICO and then for the ICO to succeed.
Scam ICOs, whether they succeed or not, they will still go away the fund of investors and this seem to be on the increase.
459  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I just dump my coins for other coins on: January 20, 2019, 10:50:09 PM
Dumping is not the solution to an investment that has plummeted. Rather, the best to do, is to consider other options, such as selling half of it, to either use for your personal needs or better still, use it to trade.
So many people who found themselves in such situation, later opted for trading and most of them who quickly mastered the act to get the skill, have been able to recover their funds.
460  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I am just Dumping all my altcoins! on: January 20, 2019, 10:44:41 PM
Most times, it is  better to allow the weak hands to dump what they have.
The mistake some people also make is that, when a coin pumps, they refuse to sell and wait for it to pump more. This is where greed sets in and then an eventual lost of opportunity.
Later on, even when the price is no more encouraging, they will now be thinking of selling just to get anything.
