2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are you doing now? on: July 26, 2020, 08:03:59 PM
Even with a little bit more fortunate than the other with my job still secure, I still do the bounty to make sure I'm well covered if anything thing goes wrong.
Nowadays, having a good job is already happiness. Among my acquaintances, half are unemployed. And it's not easy to find a new job now.

Organizations. companies and many establishments are retrenching their staff. So, many are looking looking for what to do to keep making money. Some whom i know, through their savings are now investing on online ventures, most especially digital currency, because they have been told by some people about its potential. So, two still have their jobs, jobs without security are looking for alternatives.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What was the first-ever ICO you’ve invested? on: July 26, 2020, 07:55:20 PM
In 2017, I managed to get involved in an ICO, which later went bust. It's good that this was a trial experience for me, and I did not risk a large amount. Now I would never do this, but then I still believed in something.
I wanted to invest in an ICO in 2018, but I stopped. Although, I cannot vividly pinpoint what made me not to invest in it, despite having the fund at that time. TIll date the project has not listed on any exchange. The simple truth about it is that, it's a scam project, because they disappeared all of a sudden. Although there were very good ICOs, as at when it was still very much relevant. Things have now changed, so it's better not to invest in any ICO project.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Etherscan or Ethplorer on: July 26, 2020, 07:45:07 PM
The token sometime doesn't have value on Ethplorer because Etherscan usually detect the exchange that list the token faster than Ethplorer.
Both of them are popular ethereum explorer but i prefer to using etherscan because im get used to it.
I usually use etherscan to see the gas price before send eth or tokens, so my transaction won't be stuck because the gas is too low.

Checking gas price has nothing to do with using ethplorer or etherscan. You might use etherscan to check the current gas price, while you use ethplorer to check updates of tokens in your wallet. Both have their usefulness, but people use what is more convenient for them. I use both depending on which comes to my mind first.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Safest trading strategy on: July 25, 2020, 11:59:29 PM
Don't take news too seriously as markets don't care.

I used to think tat news works, but my notion proved me wrong many times. The market most times is unpredictable. Although, it dos not mean you cannot make predictions that will work, but they cannot be accurate. One who knows this well always take precautionary measures, should incase the unforeseen happens, there should always be a plan B, so that one does not get stocked.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it risky to invest in new crytpo coin/tokens? on: July 24, 2020, 11:05:43 PM
well i won't say generally that it is risky to invest in new projects , but what i would  rather say is for you to carry out your research and know the project you are investing in .there are still a few good new projects you can invest in if you take your time to research about them.

There is no one that does not know that these new altcoins have more risks, but they will always want to invest i them, because they bring in more profit, most especially on short term basis, because they can make more profits from them, than the already established coins. Themore the risk, the higher the profit and the lesser the risk, the lesser the profit. It is always directly proportional.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Never invest in any cryptocurrencies! on: July 24, 2020, 10:59:46 PM
I never like people with only simple thinking "get rich quick" on crypto scene. Put that aside, risk equal with profit. If people understand how much risk is for a crypto investment then that's their choice, you can't force them to use it as a different means.

I believe that larger percentage of those in the crypto space now want ti make it well from crypto as fast as possible and that is why they easy fall into the hands of scammers. In fact, opportunities are becoming so numerous, but not all can be trusted.I would prefer to invest in just one sure and legit project, than to invest in 100s of shady projects, which contain high risk.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DeFi Projects on: July 24, 2020, 10:55:35 PM
This is actually trending now , people prefer token sales done by DeFi . i just hope scammers wont cease that opportunity in creating a fake DeFi project in order to scam investors. I think the fact that DeFi  is Decentralized makes it better in terms of security of assets.

Before scammers would cease the opportunity, many people would have understand more on how to choose the right DeFi project. Investors are learning fast these days, so also are scammers devsing new and sophisticated ways of stealing money from investors, without delivering anything important. DeFi will surely lead the way to bull run.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Has "Decentralization" become a buzz word these days? on: July 22, 2020, 11:07:17 PM
As crypto enthusiasts (investors, traders and the likes), we all appreciate the fact that decentralization came into existence and without the decentralized technology called blockchain, there would not have existed and no one would have thought of creating other distributed ledger, which are centralized.
the main issue that makes most people accept just anything in the crypto space is if they are able to make a profit it gains from it, which is their utmost goal. To that effect, more developers will continue to launch their centralized projects.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ARE ICOS STILL LEGIT? on: July 22, 2020, 11:01:35 PM
We heard the news of IEO to be in place of ICO in order to curb the high rate of failure and scams in the development of altcoins projects in this year 2019. My surprise is that I still see series of projects claiming to be in ICOs. Doesn't that make them scam as we have seen in the same scenarios in the past?

If it is, I wonder why people still invest whether their time or monies in such projects which have high risk of loss or being scammed.
Not all ICO are scam or fake, there are still some legit ICO's out there, but no one is willing to invest in them anymore,I also can't blame the investors for been too cautious about investing in any ICO's, , since ICO have proven to be unreliable for now,I think IEO is way more better at the moment and the investors tend to invest more money on IEO than ICO's.

Ther only way those ICO projects can prove their legibility now is to switch over to IE) and list on reputable exchange. If they can at least claim their spots on excHnges like Binance, Gate.io, Kucoin, Okex and some others that have gained the trust of investors, they will be able ti raise the necessary fund for their project.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Impact of USDT in the Crypto Market? on: July 22, 2020, 10:53:49 PM
USDT would have been down when there were rumours I think in 2019 that it would be listed on the big exchanges in the crypto space. If you could remember very well then, the price went down and within a very short period of time, we saw a rise in price again, to its moral level. this is to tell yu that USDT is very strong and in many years to come, inasmuch as cryptocurrency generally is still in existing, USDT will continue to remain relevant.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New normal world will make crypto better on: July 19, 2020, 10:04:50 PM
The pandemic might truly be limiting or holding some things back, despite that, the crypto market is still growing, although with some corrections. I just hope that even after the pandemic, the wall street traders o not come up with a huge FUD to make the market dump again, because that is what they are always after.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin do you prefer to hold for more than a year? on: July 19, 2020, 10:01:52 PM
I can still afford to old the first 10 coins on CMC for or than a year and Bitcoin for as long as possible. Although, there are times that you just have to disposed those coins and buy back when their prices are low. So, oi personally do not just hold without putting it to use, either to yield more or to avoid huge losses.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to know if the project is fake? on: July 19, 2020, 09:59:18 PM
previously I have never checked the authenticity of a new project address, for now, I prefer projects that have been listed on the market, although the price is cheap but the success rate of the project is clear.
yes absolutely right, the risk is very small if the project has been listed in exchange, rather than not at all, many fake projects that appear this year, hopefully we all avoid it
It is only true when you select the altcoins listed in the major exchanges in this market, if you choose the altcoins listed in the small exchanges, I believe you will have a similar result. , the price will decrease many times and you will lose money with it
sometimes the founders of the project will try other ways, maybe by building their own exchange project and making IEO run on the exchange as happened to the BCNEX exchange, which currently has a scam, so you have to stay alert when you want to participate in a new project offer.

Yes, you are right. All the exchange projects i attempted are scam. Well, i do not know if some actually came out plain and were sincere, which i did not attempt. They know that if the IEO is done on an external exchange, they might not be allowed full access to the fund and perhaps, there will be a lockup period, which they are running from.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Binance Twitter account have been hacked! on: July 18, 2020, 08:30:02 PM
this bitcoin scammers that hacked binance or more verified twitter account will earn money money if some followes really thinking this is real person behing this account. i am sure people be more curious when they heard about crypto market, and also this accident could be good marketing to make crypto known by more people.

If this is how crypto will be known by many, that would be a bad idea and might cause fear and panic to more people. The victims also might find it hard to recover from their losses, peradventure they gave out their all to the scammers.
The sorry thing about this is that the cameras used a means that could have been very hard for some persons to escape and not believe.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: It's always about your choice on: July 18, 2020, 08:25:36 PM
There are times that a project might look very promising, but the outcome of the bounty might be very bad. Bounty managers are meant to fight the course of the bounty hunters.
If the team of a project decides not to pay or delay payment for no reason, some bounty managers keep mute and allow the team to have their way. Meanwhile, we have seen bounty managers that fought the course of their hunters till the end and always giving updates on the progress of things. I have been privileged to witness these two sides.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Mass Twitter accounts of crypto companies and personalities got hacked! on: July 18, 2020, 07:07:44 PM
So any take on how did the hackers get through Twitter's security wall? Is it because Twitter allowed their employees to work from home and maybe their personal computer got compromised from there? You know how much difference between workplace computer with all the IT department monitor and set up firewalls compare to just a home computer.

There are several reasons surrounding it, but one was actually the real cause and the victim of the hack could be just a staff. If this should continue to happen to the centralized social media platforms, then almost the whole world is not safe. This means that the twitter account of the president of a whole nation is not safe. THey could have just started exchanges for now, because that is where to get their quick loot.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scammers favorite tools on: July 17, 2020, 09:34:38 PM
I bet on scammer's next favorite tools is going for DeFi project since they're trending right now.
I agree with you. DeFi project seems the next potential tool to use by scammers effectively. Well, one of the ways to scam people effectively is by using what the most favorite ones currently. We must know that nowadays, most scammers prefer to use IEOs on small or unpopular exchanges to attract people than using ICOs. As most investors don't trust again in ICOs, scammers rarely used ICOs to trap people anymore. We must realize that scammers are always following the current trends in crypto to get the victims, so be more careful guys!!

Yes IEOs could be one of their tools, but they can't be accepted on bigger exchanges and they cannot venture into approaching such exchanges, because thorough research will be done, such as the IEOs on Binance, Gate.io and other bigger exchanges in the space. They most times prefer exchanges like p2pb2b, latoken and the likes, because they are birds of same feathers.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you trust USDT? on: July 17, 2020, 09:29:56 PM
I use USDT, as a matter of fact, i use it more than any other stablecoin, but i do not have full trust in it, which is why it rarely store it in my wallet. My use of USDT does not exceed exchange sites, where i trade. It is a very useful tool while trading. Till date, there are still controversies over USDT, which is one of the reasons i cannot totally rely on it.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why lots of people got scam easily on: July 17, 2020, 09:26:19 PM
IMagine what happened recently, when the big twitter accounts in the crypto space were hacked, including the accounts of big exchanges and their owners, big projects inclusive, some fell victim because they wanted freebies, which can also be likened to greed, but not exactly the sea as greed. There are better ways to earn securely in the crypto space, but they will not go for that, rather they will be looking for quick bucks.
