The problem here is that David has about a dozen posts in other threads the last 5 hours, and exactly one post in here.
He needs to get his priorities straight.
All his biggest supporters here are reporting problems with the wallet, broken buttons, mysterious error messages, and his answer is basically "duh...you should be able to figure it out".
If he spent half the time he spent in other threads in here, we would all be able to get behind this thing and his own Bay would be rising in value, not falling. When is he going to figure this out?
What is needed is an attitude-free walk through from David on Bay wallet setup and sending smart contracts. Preferably with him available to answer questions.
At the present time he seems to feel that is beneath him. Or that he is too busy coding, or answering flamers in other threads, or whatever.
But the problem is that he is holding the tech cards so close to his chest that no one else can do this.
So until he gets a bit more involved, here we are.
AFAIK all of that is on the roadmap and the current wallet is still not really intended for "mainstream use". Right now he is just working on the functionality, and then of course there are plans to make it so easy that your grandma can use it, as I believe David has said before. It would be silly to spend a lot of time on the user interface and making in-depth tutorials for things now, when many of the feature are likely to change in a month or two as the client begins filling out with features, especially since there is no reason to really use BitBay for any "real" purposes right now. We are basically just getting a preview of what's to come and I don't think it's really fair to expect what is essentially a late alpha early beta to be production quality. Bud I respect your opinions and your support of Bay. It seems to me you have some denial going here though and you are making excuses for David's current actions. The fact is, David does have the time to be in this thread and address these issues, and he is not doing so. He is choosing to spend his time in other threads. And a wallet is a wallet. This wallet has been advertised the last month as a working smart contract wallet. Yes, it should be functioning. No one is asking for "in-depth tutorials". A quick walk through, some screenshots, answer questions. Not to much to ask when you have advertised how hot your Halo system is. Jmho. Offer we created yesterday. Does it show under "contracts' in your wallet? I can't seem to open my wallet again. Might have to re-install it. Still shows as broadcasting. No change. About the laggy wallet start i have found it boots to my taskbar. I have to double click that before it will open in the window view. Hope that helps. that's weird. It can't take this long to broadcast. lol I guess we'll have to wait till we get something official from David. David, if you can create a video tutorial for new users it'll be great. I have lot of people asking me about instructions on new wallet set up. Here are problems that should be looked at whenever you have time. 1.) libeay32.dll error when opening BitBay. 2.) Default location for new wallet is "C:" drive 3.) Keys get saved under old wallet folder. C>Program Files>BitBay 4.) Getting "bithalo.exe" has stopped error when closing BitBay. 5.) "?" buttons don't work 6.) Bitmessage address don't get populated. 7.) Created an offer yesterday and it still shows under "pending offer" as Broadcasting. 8.) If you have 2FA set up in your gmail. Software won't accept your password. I'm not sure how that can be fixed. I think lot of software error are being caused because new wallet is saving half of the files under Old Wallet folder by default and when you open new wallet it looks for that file in new wallet folder but it can't find it. No rush but those are things that I found out.

Says broadcasting, do not fuck with this or goons will cut your balls off. No lie, that's what it says. Nothing on the open contracts screen yet.
lol same here. Looks like it's on!

I am not getting dll error, but it is a bit buggy getting started, and does not really closed when asked. Seems like the cooperation with the halo functions is not yet smooth.
As for the address required, i do not like that an email address and password might be required for basic functions. Too much potential for mischief there imho. I am sure David will be along shortly with a ten paragraph densely explained dissertation on all this : -)
You need either Bitmessage address or email address in order to accept/send an offer. Do you see "Bitmessage address" under Receive Coins tab? If you don't you might have to copy that .dll file from old wallet folder to new one. I just sent an offer to you and now it says "sent offer details awaiting response" which is different from what I was getting before. I'm not sure why it doesn't show up on your end. I hope it doesn't take 24 hours to send it because that would suck. Success!! I enabled Bitmessage a couple hrs ago. Now it came through. You better pray for those Seahawks friend. : -) Sweet! Can you post a screenshot of what it looks like on your end? Seahawks will win bud.

lol I know right. My bay software isn't opening for some reason. You have my address you can set up the offer and post screenshot if you want. I'll accept it as soon as I can get this thing to open up. ok bud. it will be my first go at making a contract so make sure your house deed is in a safe deposit box somewhere lol Finally! I just created a contract. Please check your pending offer and accept it and post screenshot. nothing yet .... I wonder how long it takes for offer to be sent to you. It still says sent Nothing here.I got my doubts that the email thing was the trick. Alright, I've cancelled it. You wanna try creating one on your side. Type in your email address and leave everything as it is. Don't enter anything under "instant refund" leave it blank. My address: bUAouRMtrYtyEUsX1BrJya61RSxrhMFppT Yea I looked at that already. It wants an email address and a password. I am not inclined to do that just yet with this wallet, and the headline says that it is optional - so i don't think the email is the solution here. Or else I would have gotten your contract. My guess is there is some documentation here or some step we are missing. No doubt the team has alerted David to the bug so it is prob a matter of waiting.Unless someone here has blackcoin / halo experience, the wallet is after all pretty much based on that. Anyhow man, bet still stands, I will just send u the bay if the Seahawks bring their A game : -) not sure. I have 2FA set up in my gmail and my bitmessage address wasn't showing up. I had to copy libeay32.dll from old wallet folder to new one and now it shows "bitmessage" address. I just created an offer again. Keep an eye in your wallet for next 10-15 minutes. It might appear but that was the reason I was getting "address not loaded" error because it was looking for bitmessage address or email and it found none of them. Lets see what happens. I'm also not getting that "libeay32.dll" error anymore which I was getting before so may be it fixed it. Do you get libeay32.dll error when you open BitBay?

There's zero correlation between supply and marketcap. Especially now Dogecoin is one of the bigger caps. Yea I looked at that already. It wants an email address and a password. In Blackcoin your change address is simply your wallet's address. There's no need to set it. I think this may either be an oversight or there's a way to actually set one specified address for this. After all, it's still just the same thing. May be in Bay it's "Bitmessage" address but it's not showing up on mine.

I don't really care what the price is doing as long as there is volume. No volume = dead coin.
Yeah, the price is constantly going up, some pump group must be helping the coin. Those shakeoffs are part of the plan - look at the sell walls appearing and disappearing. Agreed. Don't let them take your coins. Those sell orders is one person trying to manipulate the market to buy as many coins as possible. Look at this fake sell wall at 199 and 200 sat. Well, if some people are not smart enough and enjoy being manipulated than let them give away their coins. The market is speaking for itself. The coin was 50, it is over 100 now and for some time it hit 230. Few more days and we will hit 300. Maybe we should set a smart contract regarding when the price will hit 300? Ok... but for some reason I cant get the contract up and running... Im waiting for david to come to the thread and clear some things up. Like how to load a return address. Bob, would you be willing to try and guess when the coin will reach 300? Could we have several ppl take their bets and/or set contracts for various prices? It sounds funny but it's something that can definitely be done as we move forward. Right now I can't even set up a contract because it says "return address isn't loaded".

Trying to create a contract. All fields filled out except image. Pushing create contract and nothing happens, what am i missing ...?
Type something in Image box. Don't leave anything empty or it won't go through. tried that, one word. did not help Hmm...I'm getting "Your return address is not loaded" when I click on "create contract" button. I'm not sure what that means.

hello all so far l have lost 50% of my investment in Bay,god what s next? unknown! ( l have nothing agains the DEV) they ve produced a product which l ve thought could work but l was wrong.good luck to all of us
have a great Sunday Roast
You lose only if you sell your coins. God I remember the days when everybody dumped their BlackCoin for ~700 sat ))) That shit made me rich cause I was out of the county with no access to my PC. Sold at ~65k sat. People "investing" and panicking after ~3 weeks don't deserve no money. Same thing happened when I bought quark. I think it was last December. I went on vacation for New Year and boom! price went up. Came back from vacation and sold it in profit.

They don't care about the price now because it is irrelevant when a peg is in the future of the coin.
No. They don't care about price because they have 3000 btc and community here is in Crypto Stockholm Syndrome. Tell ppl when Bay will hit 60 sato and ppl will be at 70%+ loss that price is not important and using small % of huge ICO to help price is wasting money LOL Q: How will BAY be using ICO investment funds? Will there be any public accountability or updates? A: The BitBay team will not receive all of the investment funds out the gate. As stated during the ICO period, only a fraction of the community investment will be available to the team for immediate use. The rest of the funds will get released by bter exchange as we hit our development milestones. Here is a breakdown of how ICO funds will be released to the project: - 33% of dev fund at completion of ICO / delivery of initial wallet. (This threshold has been met.) - 33% of dev fund at btc at delivery of wallet with integrated smart contracts (Dec. 5th, 2014) - 33% of dev fund at delivery of our decentralized marketplace (1st quarter 2015) - Remaining balance of funds after 60 days of stable marketplace performance. At this time the BitBay team will also be releasing their Phase 2 road map. So, NO they don't have 3000 BTC yet. You only lose if you sell. 500 BAY will always be 500 even if price hits 1 sat. Only fools sell their coins at loss specially when it comes to coin that have potential to become next biggest thing.

The coin supply is too much. I can't see it staying above 100 satoshi for long.
Bitshares - 2 billion coin supply Price - 4700 sat So, no. Coin supply isn't that much. NONE of the coin out there has come up with smart contract. NONE of them have decentralized marketplace. NONE of them have double lock deposit. NONE of them has delivered anything within 20 days of launch. Not only this coin is unique from others but it also has hardworking people who don't wait all year to provide an update.

How's the decentralised market going? Would be nice to have an update by David.
Have patience, friendo. You don't like to see them rested much. Do you?
