801  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [LTC] Changing the litecoin Proof of Work function to avoid ASIC mining? on: January 30, 2014, 10:04:27 PM
Lets avoid the ASICs, we need to keep them away from us.  They are great for bitcoin and we are proud for that.  But we need scrypt to allude them.

Ok so with the Primary goal being to create a very good multicoin interactive exchange.  You guys say javascript and php?  Skip regular java?  My friend wanted to start with Java, would transitioning to javascript after getting it down be a smooth experience?
803  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Are there any coins worth CPU mining? on: January 30, 2014, 09:43:07 PM
I'm about to upgrade all my rigs to Z87 mobos which means Haswell Processors with AVX2 which mine twice as fast as Ivy Bridge.  Are there any coins that are profitable enough to warrant the cost of putting 4770k's on each mobo?  Otherwise I will just toss on the cheapest dual cores.

805  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ★★ DigiByte ★★ [DGB] - What should we name the new DigiByte exchange? on: January 30, 2014, 09:21:02 PM
I think that exchange.digibyte.co would be a good thing to use, since it shows that the site is clearly affiliated with the main Digibyte website, sounds good, and looks clean.

My personal opinion.

actually i REALLY like this idea, being affiliated with the official site is a BIG DEAL! anyone could be from digi-pay, trade etc... i revoke my vote, and vote for this instead! recount the vote!

Good points
806  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptsy is fantatstic on: January 30, 2014, 08:24:38 PM
so why so many people hate cryptsy if its so great?

Hard to say.  But I automatically always assume some 50% of haters of anything are naturally pessimistic

They did undergo some headache recently with the bitcoin boom while upgrading servers and all that. Which is naturally to be expected with any sudden hurricane of traffic, but they manged to stay online the entire time and are good people.

How long do the elements usually last, we replaced them about 8 months ago.  Will check valve tomorrow when I get home.

It's the vrm temps.
813  Other / Off-topic / Re: water heater keeps shutting off on: January 30, 2014, 02:29:49 AM
Definitely have to keep the temp up.  I like it on the hot side.  have it at 135 which seems reasonable.  Anything less and the hot water doesn't last as long.  Plus we have horrible hard water where im at for now and need the extra temps for the dishwasher and washing machine.  Will check the valve

Cool, just curious because we had all the parts replaced kast year, elements, electronics, etc.  Just wondering if there was a quick fix that could be done.
