363  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcoin Crowdfunding Platform on: September 02, 2014, 11:59:03 PM
I have just created a new project and added to bitcoinstarter.

I think it is project number 1.000: https://bitcoinstarter.com/projects/1000 Smiley

The project now awaits moderation, hopefully it will happen soon, and then we can start fundraising. I have a question to the OP of this website: are you marketing this site somewhere, do you have traffic, are people coming to it and funds getting collected or no?

Thanks.

Looks like its up ?  Grin

They seem to get hit and misses I know traffic has been down lately , in other words they can't do all the marketing for you ...you have to put in some of the effort also!  Wink

366  Other / Off-topic / Re: 2nd Journalist Beheaded by ISIS Jihadists on: September 02, 2014, 07:59:13 PM

Sad thing is the Journalist probably going to write something good and attack US foreign policy.

Enemy of my enemy is my friend. Something Muslim don't seem to grasp.

Good point on that.

They do not speak for all Muslims of the world.  I'm not Muslim, but you have to understand that.  There is bad in every religion. Zealots are everywhere.

Prayers to the family.

I totally understand that. There believes represent about .000001 percent of Muslims I got it.

369  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cryptsy Deposits on: September 02, 2014, 03:33:36 PM
I've waited 3 days before, but they were doing tons of maintenance. Have you contracted them? Try Twitter.

I opened a ticket, I have a feeling it's because I sent it to an old deposit address.. I should update them each time I deposit it seems lol.

They were doing wallet maintance. Update them each time LOL
370  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BitCoin Scamming Business is Booming! on: September 02, 2014, 03:32:56 PM
This is something that is around and will continue to be around. Scamming is some people's way to easy money no matter who they hurt and what they take from others. With bitcoins it's so much easier for a scam to take place and then get away with it because so many do not know what it is and there is nothing in place to help those that get scammed. Best way to be is alert and always look out for anything suspicious.

This could be true. However, I don't think its fair that Bitcoins is only for scamming. This is what I think most people think to some extent.

373  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [DOPE] DopeCoin - Heartbleed conquered! Digishield performing perfectly! on: September 01, 2014, 09:33:15 PM
I've been talking with some people about DOPE, and we believe that DOPE can be back on the good side, one person want to take over the coin, another person want to do the marketing, and i have been in contact to the person that Ethancoin make it move from 3 sats to 170 sats. So it is up to you guys, do you want to see some movements in DOPE or are you still refusing and just want to let it die?

Seriously man.... what are you hoping to achieve? Payment or Permission? from whom? The code is open source. I believe its fair game for anyone to fork and resurrect the coin. You just need the exchanges and the majority of the community to use the forked wallet. If you have a team that is willing and has the skills, by all means go ahead... start a new ANN with a link to the new wallet and a platform to migrate existing user's coins to the new blockchain. Stop this lame hype with rhetoric like "do you want to see some movements in DOPE or are you still refusing and just want to let it die?". Who exactly is "refusing" and "letting" here?

If you have someone who can change the algo to x13, by all means... go ahead. The pools and the miners will come automatically so long as there is profit in doing so. If you are looking for appreciation / gratitude, I believe it usually comes after the service, not before.

This is actually a good point. Should we just fork it and try some other things?
374  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Shit's about to get real. Change my name! on: September 01, 2014, 04:07:37 AM
This would be a perfect fund raiser for a lighthouse assurance contract.

http://blog.vinumeris.com/2014/05/17/lighthouse/

why?

Also, it would be awesome if you did change your name!

Because people can pledge money and it only gets posted if enough is raised by a certain date. If not, the money is returned.

I would pledge if I knew it would be successful.

BitcoinStarter.com does that also.  The only difference between BitcoinStarter and Lighthouse is decentralization.  But then again you still have to trust the project is legit and there is no middle person between Lighthouse to do that.

377  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bump Bitcoin crowd advertising experiment on: September 01, 2014, 02:49:53 AM
I've put together an idea for crowd advertising for Bitcoin. Just like how the blockchain is distributed, why not distribute the advertising efforts as well?

Each person can come up with their own advertising efforts and post them for others to see. If they come up with a great idea they will be reworded for it just like the guy with the HI MOM sign.

There's so much talent in the Bitcoin community. It just needs to be directed with some sort of incentive structure.

So I've made a test site www.bumpbitcoin.com in the hopes of testing some advertising incentives for everyone. Anyone around the world can go to the site post a picture of their advertising efforts or charities or anything really, and then everyone else can judge it as effective or not. If you like it bump it up, if not or if it's spam bump it down. If you really like it, send them Bitcoins. If everyone around the world puts their efforts together in things like this I think you could get some real movement in Bitcoin.

Thanks everyone, give it a try if you have a chance. www.bumpbitcoin.com

You are up on Bitcoinstarter.com it seems!

378  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Coinbase going busto? Numerous people not getting paid by Coinbase currently. on: August 31, 2014, 06:04:48 PM
id expect the 'market street' address just to be a mail forwarding service.

You think it's the one in the SOMA? Bluxomer should be near the Safeway across from the train station. I need to go to the store anyway and I like that Safeway. I usually go to to the Safeway in the Castro but there's too many homeless scumbags over there lately. I'll try tomorrow. I know they won't be there but at least I can see if there's a storefront for them.

As we both know about the Mt. Cocks stuff do your work son! do you work son!  Report back.  I actually had an interview with Coinbase so at least I know of a # and person name. lol....

I'm heading that way this afternoon, as soon as my wife thinks her hair is fixed good enough to be seen in public. lol

HAHAHA ^^ ....getting pretty for it love it Wink
379  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 100% Ad-Free Internet Radio (bgdradio.net) accetps Bitcoin donations on: August 31, 2014, 05:52:01 PM
It's free, super cool 24/7 music, no ads, not a single spoken word...

A lot of different genres... and the best part, I'm listening to this radio for few years now and music just doesn't start to repeat!

http://bgdradio.net

Show them some love!

Note: I have no relationship with this radio in any way, i just love what they do. Few weeks ago I asked them about btc donations and they added the donation address recently.

I own BTCradio.com  thats what I wanted to do but the dev. ran away lol
