We could even set up an exchange there: https://www.firstnationalib.com/

we would have to survive by selling capitalism. its not like we would be producing massive amounts agriculture or minerals.

The main economy could be arbitriaging virtual currency.  Maybe we should bring this over to r/xnation .

1364  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Bitcoin Relationship Thread: G/F or Wife Tales... on: March 27, 2013, 04:54:38 PM
My GF bitched me out last night because she said I wouldn't stop talking about Bitcoin and I wasn't paying enough attention to her and all I did was watch stupid boring charts. Then she reiterated her point that BTC is illegal and will be shutdown eventually (ironic she says that because she is an attorney and has no freaking clue what BTC is).  Then she put her hands on her hips and told me if I was making so much money I needed to take her to a nice dinner or else there was no point being together! lol!

So I am thinking of dumping her? Anyone else ended a relationship over BTC? haha

Dude major dump. Who in the right mind has the nerve to call bitcoin boring ?

1366  Economy / Service Discussion / Coinbase empty of coins? on: March 26, 2013, 06:33:28 PM
So how come Bitcoins isn't $1,000 a bitcoin when big exchanges like Coinbase are empty 24 hours a day ? The demand is greater then the supply but just doesn't show on paper that doesn't mean it doesn't provide value? What am I missing!?

Did you know wishing wells have a successrate of up to 83%?

Not dissing you or your site, bud, but seriously! I suggest self-host Wordpress as your CMS, and proofread, proofread, proofread.

Later, bud.

I want to resell them. But I will only accept cash, locally. But my volume is going to be small. And I will have a computer station on standby with internet access so that people can redeem their bitcoins on the spot (or I do it for them.)

They pay me cash, they get bitcoins, plus I get all the fees in between. I can even do this part time. I sent an email, hopefully they don't disregard small time resellers.

Works perfect for a local transactions and accepting cash def.   I was just pointing out some poor soul is going to set up a website and have people buy these in exchange/scammed for bitcoin over the internet and the OP sounds perfectly fine with it because they say the "seller" knows the risks.  And don't worry they will reply to your PM they did with mine.

Who are the current resellers now?
Nobody accept the company mentioned in the post. Anyone who doesn't have a ton of money to compensate for chargebacks ( or is taking bitcoin only orders) will take this up.

I think this is one way to buy bitcoins using credit cards world wide.
Read above.
1378  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: 1st Bitcoin Gift card :) on: March 24, 2013, 05:50:22 AM
question...

1) how do you plan on dealing with fraud, i see you pass on that problem to your re-sellers, is it something they are aware of?

2) if i buy the 100$ card today, and redeem it 10 days from now ( lets say bitcoin droped to 50$ by then ) would i get 2 bitcoin - some FEE??

I hope that resellers are aware that they are selling a stored-value card that once redeemed cannot be revoked.

I would also like to know if there is a conversion fee upon redeeming the card. The 2.99 fee is actually competitive to doing moneypak trades with individuals, so i'm hoping that there is no other fees.

^^ In other words, don't sell for $$ and send/sell Bitcoins in exchange. We are back to square one when it comes to buying bitcoin! as clearly this won't work Sad ^^

Well, I thought this would be a more of a gift to friends/family then buy from a**holes on the Internet sort of thing
Lol ...yes, lets hope so. I just want to make sure the OP is clear to the people who are looking to re-sell this or be a "re-seller" for this service know the risks that are involved. He seems pretty nonchalant about it saying "All sellers have risks with any items" and it shouldn't be a big deal ... he hasn't experienced Bitcoin yet then .  Since I can only go by his newb count posts I'm assuming he is a newb in this respect. Let's hope the "resellers" are bigger places who can afford to get raped by scammers here.

there are million scenarios that can happen all this only because of minority of people that like to steal and get something for nothing.

I see you are noob to Bitcoin then Wink. Those type of scenarios thrive in this petri dish we call Bitcoin. I'm not here to rain on anyone's parade and will probably be buying a few of these from you but  Sgt. Spike and I have been in this game for awhile and have seen many, many people come through claiming things that just aren't true. The person selling these giftcards are liable for chargebacks when someone purchases them. That isn't going to far! that is just being honest!
