sry -> i need a few minuts to upgrade the miner....

the new firmeware has 2 overclock features:

1.basis mode
at the moment i run at turbo modorate and turbo light... because some miner shutdown wiht the higher mode....  (i will test it tommorrow, again)
it can't be a temp problem -> my serverroom is very cool (around 20 °C)

but the hash that the miner indicating is the "right", the pool give's me the same... -> thats much much better than before.....

2. there is an advanced mode

you have to confirm this:

WARNING: Advanced mode will allow you to put the device in operating conditions that MAY PERMANENTLY DAMAGE IT, pay extreme caution when using the advanced mode and follow the advices given on Bitmine's wiki page. If you click OK, advanced mode will be enabled and your warranty will be voided. To abort the operation and go back to BASIC mode, press Cancel now.

for this reason i didn't coinfirm it, at the moment ^^...

the upgrade is very easy and every noob can do this... i didn't get any error...

tommorrow or on the "long" weekend i will test the power that they need....
(a few minutes ago a made only a fast test -> 2.2 - 2.3 TH -> round 2335 - 2385 watts, thats one in turbo light an one in turbo moderate

782  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Firmware update for CoinCraft Desk units - 20140425170710 on: April 29, 2014, 08:46:24 PM
Dear all,

finally the software update for the CoinCraft Desk Units has been released and is available, together with instructions, on the following page:

http://www.bitmine.ch/?page_id=5483

This is the changelog for this version:

*) Fixed OpenSSL heartbleed vulnerability

*) Fixed web interface issues with Apple iOS-based safari browser

*) Fixed an issue with recent generations of One-Wire temperature sensors

*) Added thermal shutdown and automatic recovery

*) Added over/down-voltage ability both with basic preset settings and advanced settings, leading to an increased hashing rate.

*) Updated cgminer to latest version 4.3.0

*) Optimized cgminer’s driver with up to 20% less CPU usage on Raspberry Pi system

*) Stepped back to diff-1 jobs so that HW errors will be detected earlier and the displayed hashing rate will be more consistent with the effective hashing rate

Enjoy!  Smiley

a bit late, but thanks.... :-)

EDIT:
ok, very easy -> very fast (5min).... good job...

...I can't stand how you abused the reputation of swiss business standards to build trust in your company...
Me too.. I had better meaning about swiss precision, and that was one of the reasons why I decided to do ~200k USD business just with bitmine    Angry

+1,

realy right -> i thougt ohhhh china -> mh.... maybe they  scamm me ... ohh swiss miner -> realy good trusted people.... and than this...

hehe -> i use the same fans -> realy ok for this price.... but some of them get fast problems with the "Lager".... an than you get realy terrible fibration...

if you remove the sticker in front of FAN, you can add 1 drop of oil.
Keeps the resonance away

thanks...
788  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official BITMINE CoinCraft series 28nm ASIC miners thread on: April 29, 2014, 02:34:19 PM
also handy to order 3000rpm FAN's (2) for front side.
Without temp will rise 57+ degree C, with FAN 43 degree C

Let me know what fans you are getting, I'm considering upgrading my as well

Sunday.

As I expected, no update on sunday. They didn't learn anything. After all the delays and promises I thought this time it would be different.
Why the hell do you always promise things and never hold the timeline?

yes, that's realy true -> i thought last week the same well or rahter a 50 / 50 chance that the update will come on sunday...

but it's very sad, you all can see that the clear promised date of released was yesterday... and nothing happened... no update no statement....

Don't worry, we are releasing it today, we took the chance to fix some other minor bugs and delayed the release of one day.

which "sunday" or "today"  did you mean ?

one small question:

did anybody paid the shipping cost for the extra "CPP" units ?

Das Forum lebt ja vom Ideenaustausch. Weshalb solche PM Sachen der Idee etwas entgegen laufen, imho

Und 9kW fast lautlos hört sich interessant an, es sei denn deine Öffnung ist ein Scheunentor  Wink

EDIT:
@hamburgerjung76

Don't worry, we are releasing it today, we took the chance to fix some other minor bugs and delayed the release of one day.

This might sound like a rant and maybe it is one... but at least I try to stay at the facts Wink

Are you counting a broken turbo mode as minor bug (or is it one of the reasons for the new firmware?) or do you count the broken power save mode as minor bug? Or is it something else?

I'm just asking because the only mode that seems to work as advertized is the normal mode. Here's my "fail overview" (this list might not be exhaustive)
  • Turbo mode: more hash rate, but so much more HW errors that it effectively hashes slower - fail!
  • Power save mode: throttles the hash rate by 25% and the power consumption by 25% (resulting in still 1 J/GH instead of ~0.5 J/GH!) - fail!
That is completely different from what was advertized!
  • Not refunding people within 30 days after refund is requested (according to "terms of sale" 5.4) - fail!
  • Not processing a refund but sending hardware instead - fail!
  • Still not having learned how to treat paying customers - fail!

@bcmine receiving a miner instead of getting the refund processed is for sure something that one can complain about Wink

I'm only not calling it a SCAM because I can (with a lot effort!) see at least some delivered hardware.
...although that doesn't work like advertized and one might say: take your miner back, because it is broken and deliver what I've ordered - or if you can't give me my money back!

wow -> you test the power safe mode ? -> realy ? -> i had no time for this test at the moment -> the mode don't work ? .....

as a small tipp:
if it give a "small" delay -> say that on the promissed day and the customer will be more relaxed  Wink

mit 15,75 TH macht ihr ca 1,5 BTC am Tag ?..

Darf man Fragen wie und in welchem Pool ?

Sollten es nicht nur ca. 1,1 momentan am Tag sein ?

soft/firmeware update ?

Dear all,

We are finishing to test the latest firmware internally, this took longer than expected because it will allow users to overclock/overvolt their systems and as such we had to make sure this won't affect the systems even on prolonged use.

We are quite confident that within the end of the week it will be released, this is the preliminary list of changes that have been done:

*) Fixed OpenSSL heartbleed vulnerability

*) Fixed web interface issues with Apple iOS-based safari browser

*) Fixed an issue with recent generations of One-Wire temperature sensors

*) Added thermal shutdown and automatic recovery

*) Added over/down-voltage ability both with basic preset settings and advanced settings, leading to an increased hashing rate.

*) Updated cgminer to latest version 4.3.0

*) Optimized cgminer's driver with up to 20% less CPU usage on Raspberry Pi system

*) Stepped back to diff-1 jobs so that HW errors will be detected earlier and the displayed hashing rate will be more consistent with the effective hashing rate

When it will be released, the new firmware will be linked here and also announced on our newsletter.

nice -> end of this week mean tomorrow 25.4. or sunday 26.4. ?

easy question,hello ?

Sunday.

ok, i'm curious about it.

let's see what happen this day....

Thats funny too.

Giorgio writting:
"We are quite confident that within the end of the week". Thats means, something like, almost done end of week, but publishing something like in the middle or end of the week.

and then Wolke, the guy with his 14 deskminers, asking, when the week ends.

Who is working in the weekend, seriously, when you are working straight from Monday to Sunday? Bad paid students? You want your work done by misusing someone?

And thats not enough, Wolke posting today, because he is waiting for work done and published on Sunday.

nice that your are amused, good for you...

did you know the pseudo turbomode ? -> its run's like a bag nuts...

in my eyes there is NO runing turbomode at the moment  - the hash go up ok, but the HW also go very strong up - the pool say that the hashing speed is lower in turbomode -> its like a very bad joke...

the custumer pay a lot money for the miner...  the most of them calculated with a runing turbo mode... for this reason i see no problem that some people from bitmine have to work on the weekend...

but we will see what happen today, giorgio wrote that the new firmeware will be released this sunday 27.4...
