finally the software update for the CoinCraft Desk Units has been released and is available, together with instructions, on the following page:

This is the changelog for this version:

*) Fixed OpenSSL heartbleed vulnerability

*) Fixed web interface issues with Apple iOS-based safari browser

*) Fixed an issue with recent generations of One-Wire temperature sensors

*) Added thermal shutdown and automatic recovery

*) Added over/down-voltage ability both with basic preset settings and advanced settings, leading to an increased hashing rate.

*) Updated cgminer to latest version 4.3.0

*) Optimized cgminer’s driver with up to 20% less CPU usage on Raspberry Pi system

*) Stepped back to diff-1 jobs so that HW errors will be detected earlier and the displayed hashing rate will be more consistent with the effective hashing rate

And the new features? What about the voltage control? Have you tried downvolting?
I'm so curious if it's possible to reach the asserted 0.5 J/GH when throttling the modules from 200 GH/s to 150 GH/s.
Is turbo mode finally working like asserted?
Otherwise these miners are not what Bitmine has promised to sell, because they don't meet the technical specifications...

I appreciate the new firmware...

..but improvements are not enough - meeting the advertized specs is required!

Keeping with the terms of services is required.

Keeping with the customer protection plan is required.

Adjusting their communication is required.

Processing refund requests appropriately is required.

Everything else will sooner or later lead to "adjusted" customer behaviour. There's a deadline coming.
But maybe they aren't interested in that, because they already know that they failed?!

sry -> i need a few minuts to upgrade the miner....

the new firmeware has 2 overclock features:

1.basis mode
at the moment i run at turbo modorate and turbo light... because some miner shutdown wiht the higher mode....  (i will test it tommorrow, again)
it can't be a temp problem -> my serverroom is very cool (around 20 °C)

but the hash that the miner indicating is the "right", the pool give's me the same... -> thats much much better than before.....

2. there is an advanced mode

you have to confirm this:

WARNING: Advanced mode will allow you to put the device in operating conditions that MAY PERMANENTLY DAMAGE IT, pay extreme caution when using the advanced mode and follow the advices given on Bitmine's wiki page. If you click OK, advanced mode will be enabled and your warranty will be voided. To abort the operation and go back to BASIC mode, press Cancel now.

for this reason i didn't coinfirm it, at the moment ^^...

the upgrade is very easy and every noob can do this... i didn't get any error...  



tommorrow or on the "long" weekend i will test the power that they need....
(a few minutes ago a made only a fast test -> 2.2 - 2.3 TH -> round 2335 - 2385 watts, thats one in turbo light an one in turbo moderate

just updated mine with the new firmware, I tried the turbo lite mode..the pool speed reported is much lower than the web gui, gonna try for a few more hours to see if any improvements.

Yes, that's what i was talking about. The article you linked basically states the two different ways a company goes bankrupt. The first part describes how a company declares bunkruptcy by itself due to insolvency (liabilities exceeding the assets). I hope bitmine doesn't have to declare bankruptcy, because in this case (usually) there won't be much money left to repay their customers. The second part explains the procedure how a creditor can drive a company into bankruptcy. If the deptor is solvent, he can avoid the opening of bunkruptcy until the actual opening through the judge, if he's willing to pay. If the deptor is able to do that, he also has to pay procedurals cost plus the costs of a lawyer.

But to enforce the bankruptcy proceeding, you need a judical decision which states, that the company (bitmine) owes you a certain amount of money. Therefore you need to initiate the regular civil litigation. Before you can "call" the civil court, you need to go through the "mediation proceeding", where you won't get compensated for your expenses. If bitmine is liquid, at the latest they will pay you at this point.

To go through the entire procedure to get to the point, when you can drive bitmine into bankruptcy, it cant take up to 2 - 6 month, if they dont refund you at any moment before the court opens bankruptcy. As soon as the court opens bankruptcy, all creditors are able to join the bankruptcy proceedings within 30 days without going through the proceeding in front of the civil court.

I hope this makes sense.

@giorgio: If necessary, I'll go through this shit to the bitter end. I can't stand how you abused the reputation of swiss business standards to build trust in your company. Hope is the last to die. I still have gleam of hope that you hold up to your promises (TOS). if not, good luck...

It's not necessary .. after 30 days of waiting for refund you can file a lawsuit regarding "Betrug" .. you don't even need a lawyer

I don't think that Bitmine will ever achieve turbo mode in anything else than your electricity bill

I see. Still no power-save mode working as promised (at least not without voiding warranty). Right?
As long as the miner doesn't run at 0.5 J/GH in power-save mode it is not the miner that was ordered...

"Up to" means, if conditions are good, the turbo mode is able to reach 50% additional hashing power. If the turbo mode is unable to reach the goal at all, it's a fail.

If  I buy a car that speeds up to 250 km/h, it means clearly, the car is able to reach that speed if conditions are good. Otherwise they could advertise every car with "up to 1500 km/h".

So it's clearly a fail from bitmine if turbo does not reach 50% additional hashing power. It's that simple. Every lawyer will tell you the same...

But no failover where it should be.

As far as I know there was no failover mode announced.
