Really shocked the price has stayed above 4000 on coinmarket.io with the extra flood of coins from the mining promotion.
This while bitcoin price has dropped along with every other currency besides Dogecoin.
People sold many of iCoins at 3200 or something around it on Cryptorush.in when promotion ended. I bought some at this moment, now can buy only for 4900. And something interesting, is that only 48000 iCoins produced daily, but buy orders are on 140000 iCoins or more, it's like 3 days of full mining. It's not wonderful that nobody sells. I for sure know that devs will not sell premine at that moment in any cases. I personally made some work for community and awarded 3500 iCoins, i know that they promote coin and want it to succeed. And i hope to see iCoin worth around 10$ per coin in the near future.  There is a chance for a price explosion on this coin that we have never seen before, if the devs are releasing a couple new pretty banners, the price is not going to do much. It really depends what happens tonight and what is being released. No one knows... |

Now that the BTC value went down is it worth mining  ?? The value of all other alt currency is attached to the bitcoin now that its half its value the payoff for alt is almost nothing.... my question is if bitcoin fail one days is it gonna be the end of cryptocurrency  should we try to detached atl currency to the value of the bitcoin? I believe there is a real threat coming to bitcoins supremacy and that will be iCoin... not now but in a couple of years time. You may all go ahead and laugh at me, but I am being serious here. |

Interesting trades occurring on the exchanges, was expecting ICN prices to dip with the mining promotion.
This is by far the best coin to mine and dump atm.
Every other coin on coinmarket.io has gone down hugely in value.

As a miner, I'm sad that the days of 2-3 difficulty are probably gone forever. As an iCoin supporter, I'm happy.
Just missed the train... Again. The iCoin market has no direction atm, I am guessing the launch will happen after the next mining promotion which means more iCoins flooding the market. The price could dip below the 4000 level again as miners dump out, a week after the mining promotions as more buyers return we will see prices hit 9000 again like they did before the first mining promotion. My personal ave for iCoin over the next 3 months being 8000-14000. I just hope the giveaways are also done carefully as not to flood the market with iCoin straight away. Giving out a 100 iCoin to 1 person could mean a lot of USD in 3 years from now. |

If only it were that easy to predict haha! If you want my brutally honest opinion, I think all we can do is set modest projections and have the community totally take iCoin to a whole new echelon. There's only so much prying and messaging centralization you can do for a decentralized currency, or else you risk negating it's true definition. However, myself and other members of the iCoin team are working diligently to attract the attention of merchants, exchanges, and new investors, and are consistently reaching out to build rapport and strike new relationships on a daily basis. From what I've seen on the exchanges so far, I think any trades under .15 cents USD per ICN within the next 2-3 months will be a lowball (there were a few trades that executed yesterday upon the opening of coinmarket.io at a price of around .00017 BTC) and I also believe we will have an opportune shot at landing on Cryptsy, Bter, and Coins-E within the next 4-5 months, and I anticipate a valuation between .40 and .60 cents USD per ICN at that time. Upon crossing over into 2015, ANYTHING is possible, both negative and positive - however I took my formal position with ICN under the consideration of calculated risk and the fact there is no other digital currency that offers the clear and concise messaging, marketing, and brand awareness that we have provided minimally so far, but are about to take to a whole new level. I wish I could share what we're working on right now, it would blow your socks off. We're aiming for our new website launch near the end of this week, and that will be a fantastic launching point from which to expand the vision of iCoin. I personally believe right now is the lowest you'll see iCoin prices - just the beginning of iCoin's future, and upon us launching our new site it's a whole different ballgame. i've got some EAC as long-shot investment but honestly the coin it isnt that innovative, just had a really well marketed launch.
Coins don't need to be innovative, they just need to work, honestly do you think the ordinary person really gives a shit if a coin is sha 256, scrypt with a specific algorithm. At the end of the day coins just have bad names, bitcoin is great, litecoin is fine, iCoin is amazing (if the devs end up doing something with it), eCoin is alright... but really most of the coins I don't see my GF ever taking a interest in besides iCoin. I even like the name Digibyte but I am a geek, but outside the crypto community it's a name that won't fit well in the real world, unfortunately that's the same with most coins. |

Once more of it's features get rolled out like the decentralized exchange, and it has a more user friendly client (which is coming soon), it will show it's true potential. Plus, PoS is just so superior to PoW.
The only thing Doge is got going for it is that the memes are freakin hilarious. Other than that, it doesn't have any unique features and it's SOOO inflationary...
I think people are starting to miss the point of currencies, it doesn't have to be rocket science, it just has to work. What separates other currencies from each other besides sentiment and to some degree backing of commodities. NXT has centralized distribution and kudos to the devs, they making some good money out of the community. |

Just be weary of using cryptopools, I was mining iCoin on one of their pools and it was removed... they have been known to do with other coins too.
I will make sure the devs never add this pool for iCoin when it goes big!

i hope the devs could implement komoto gravity before we are hitting coinwarz.... otherwise i expect a massive multipool-attack   Let them come , I will be buying up iCoin from tomorrow now that it's on a really good exchange, will be shifting 2% of my btc portfolio into iCoin. The biggest danger to any alt coin or even bitcoin is if iCoin start getting ramped up into the mainstream. Most of you reading this will laugh, but think about it, I can see myself buying a cup of coffee with iCoin. One facebook comment got my attention recently. "Finally a Coin that is relevant, I can see myself using iCoin for buying items in the future as for the rest of the coins they really have terrible names. I guess us ladies are more fussy when it comes to these things. " |
