That's just a pitch to the unwary to sucker them into using cgminer. IMO, cgminer and bfdminer are still too much of a pain in the ars to use because they are line code intensive and you have to learn coding [...]

What?  Roll Eyes

Are you on drugs mate? Or maybe off drugs?

I mean if you prefer to run 40 cpuminer windows that's fine with me, just don't make it sound like your way is the only way.

What kind of drugs do you have, man?

I did qualify my statement as In My Opinion 'IMO'....

Knee 'jerk' reaction there? Matey?

w

Maybe you should instead qualify that statement as "I have no idea what I'm talking about". Where did you get this: "line code intensive and you have to learn coding"? What does it even mean - "line code intensive"? Don't get me wrong, I appreciate your enthusiasm, but you could slow down on pitching cpuminer on unrelated posts and making bogus arguments like that. Feel free to highlight cpuminer advantages without making shit up.

No offense, but don't start shit where there ain't no shit to be thrown. It will only pile up on 'you'.
My opinions are backed up by fact, not fiction. READ!

LATER!
W2014

Wolfey2014, it would be appreciated when you'd stop with always finishing a post with your name. Common forum stuff, your name is already on the left and you might notice that almost nobody does it besides you Smiley

Further it might be good to sometimes refrain from commenting when it's not 100% on topic. I do see your enthusiasm which is very good but like it has been mentioned before (probably also in other threads), when somebody asks about a problem with software A, there is no need to promote your software B (or point out that what you are using works). Even though it's better/cooler/hipper/cheaper/more effective/etc, that's not what the question is about. I've seen (so far) two annoyed responses on those "plugs" on cpuminer in the several threads I'm following and you don't really seem too happy with those remarks so far. To make a slight understatement Wink

As a complete linuxnoob, I've installed 2 raspberries, put the suggested software on them and made 32 GSD's run for 72 hours already without a single hiccup or miner reconnecting/disconnecting. I'm -this- close to putting my version back into an image to share with everyone because it works so damn well Smiley
So cgminer (if you're into scrypt only) is a very decent piece of work, but just one of the flavors, just as your favo software works perfectly well Wink

On the other hand, you're doing very good with your research on stuff, so keep that up, I've very happily used some advice from your posts already.

Oh, and starting a response with "no offense" but then clearly showing in your writing that you took offense is, ehm, well, an incorrect use of the term Wink
1262  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: SCRYPT ASIC miner ready. BTC+LTC ASIC miner, LA1THS, usd5000, stock ready now. on: March 17, 2014, 07:18:08 PM
Well Jack, how about this:
I have ordered and paid for LA3M on Feb 11 and still nothing - well except promises, that you will ship or have shipped it. Every time I call DHL - nothing.

To your credit, you have shipped my previous order pretty fast, so I don't understand why the flip..

Anyway, Jack you owe me - ship me the LA3M or give full refund. Just take care of it asap please. I am tired hunting for you on Skype.

I feel you man. I got sick and tired of how many mails I sent to Angela and Jack before they shipped  my order.
I would order again by paypal only.

I just wouldn't order with them anymore. Unless that webshop is online including full tracking of the status of an order, plus significant lower prices Wink

There is a new darling for GPU miners - HeavyCoin (yes, a CPU-only coin has a GPU miner just a few days after release). While it's too volatile to include in my calculations, check it out if you are looking for a few quick satoshis.

It would be hilarious if something like that worked on gridseeds Wink

Withdrawal just hit my wallet. Seems to work ok.
1265  Economy / Exchanges / Re: ***CEX.IO Cloud mining official page*** on: March 17, 2014, 08:25:47 AM
I submitted a withdrawal and was given a tx id, which unfortunately is nowhere to be found in the blockchain. I hope this sorts itself out by morning otherwise I'll be very very... unhappy  Angry

Just withdrew the amount of LTC I had, let's see what happens.
1266  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AUTO-SWITCH] Profit-switch auto-exchange pool: CleverMining.com on: March 16, 2014, 06:57:55 PM
Since gridseed is pumping out roughly 350 Mh/s in equipment a day it's not going to get better at all. Save your GPU's for Scrypt-N.
1267  Economy / Exchanges / Re: ***CEX.IO Cloud mining official page*** on: March 15, 2014, 06:44:21 PM
Just moved my rigs off ghash, there is a problem with one block and no reward is registered whatsoever.
1268  Economy / Exchanges / Re: ***CEX.IO Cloud mining official page*** on: March 15, 2014, 01:18:03 PM

It seems you're not sending in shares. Which would explain the problem. What does the "shifts" overview show?
1269  Economy / Exchanges / Re: ***CEX.IO Cloud mining official page*** on: March 15, 2014, 01:03:25 PM
Has anyone tried to withdraw anything?  I have been mining with the pool for the last 2 days yet when i try to withdraw it keeps giving me a "New accounts are not allowed to withdraw funds in the first 48 hours."

I'm wondering if we have a MTGOX situation where they don't have the LTC to payout.

You're probably not completely over the 48 hours threshold yet. I've just emptied my accounts there just to make sure, had 10 LTC and 0,5 BTC there, showed up in my wallet in under 10 minutes, so I'm not expecting a gox here.
1270  Economy / Exchanges / Re: ***CEX.IO Cloud mining official page*** on: March 15, 2014, 12:38:54 PM
Yup, it's very clear that atm the total hashrate is just slightly above 25 Gh/s. They could well be buying up mining contracts right now to keep it that way as that will save them from paying a lot more than they would want to compared to the money they "lose" on the contracts.
1271  Economy / Exchanges / Re: ***CEX.IO Cloud mining official page*** on: March 14, 2014, 07:48:17 PM
From a commercial point of view I see why they can't keep up with double since the market just kept traffic under 40 Gh/s. But this isn't really good from a trust point. Some people said they had bought contracts, I for once will soon be traveling, had I moved all my hashes to ghash and found out an hour after leaving they had changed the proposition I'd also feel quite screwed.
1272  Economy / Exchanges / Re: ***CEX.IO Cloud mining official page*** on: March 14, 2014, 02:32:07 PM
So far the amount of Gh/s on Ghash.io stays safely under the 40 Gh/s limit. I think some people are very well planning capacity Wink

So far one block has been mined above the 40 Gh/s limit, so far not much "loss" to be compensated for.
1273  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AUTO-SWITCH] Profit-switch auto-exchange pool: CleverMining.com on: March 14, 2014, 10:42:42 AM
To be honest, GHash.io gives me an average of 9,5 Mh/s on my hardware where Clevermining gives me 10,5 Mh/s. So unless the offer of GH is extended (or switched to another scryptcoin) I'll be back to CM in just over 6 days. (after which most probably hashrates at GH will drop dramaticly anyway)

As my earlier PM didn't work. Do not spam me 7 times. Please. That I post in other threads is no open invitation for you to harass me with messages.

do the gridseeds need alot of babysitting? (running scrypt only at 850Mhz)
expecting my babies next week, YAY!

Sadly yes... unless you buy some reset power devices to cycle them regularly...

I have had mine lock up and require a USB reset (unplug the USB cable) several times in the week since I started with it. Its a firmware thing that needs to be addressed.

Currently I have 15 and 16 connected to two raspberry's with the newest scripta with cgminer, the crashpatch and autorestart on. So far one day without touching the thing. Hopefully after the weekend it'll still run.
1276  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AUTO-SWITCH] Profit-switch auto-exchange pool: CleverMining.com on: March 13, 2014, 01:43:55 PM
the pool is too huge its almost impossible to attain higher then LTC profitability.
when coins are exchanged the price thus profitability drops.
its been fun guys, i'm switching to doge as I expect higher exchange rates when their 1.6 patch starts and the block reward is halved Smiley

It might be a good one to start splitting the capacity over different coins and payout based on "shares entered" to level the profitability without killing one certain coin.

(if that is not already happening)

Any news about shipping?

Well it has started, at least for my order.

Have you checked your email for a DHL confirmation?
1278  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [EU] 1000+ Gridseed miners - UK SHIPPING - $235 per miner (and lower with bulk) on: March 11, 2014, 01:26:28 PM
Ah, clear. Because knowing you're dispatching from the UK, you have to charge VAT for them unless delivering to a VAT registered company within the EU.

Considering other UK resellers sell them with VAT for roughly that price they aren't that low as far as I can see.
1279  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: The Official LighteningAsic/GridSeed 5 Chip Setup Guide by UnicornHasher on: March 11, 2014, 10:07:05 AM
Getting rather irritated at mine. The constant need to babysit makes it a royal pain in the ass. They constantly drop out/disconnect/stop accepting shares/get bugged out in random ways. Simply having cgminer restarting now and then does not help either, as I often need to re-plug or power cycle them, as sometimes they simply disappear from /dev/ upon restart.
Going to try connecting them to another PSU, try yet another hub, try connecting to another computer. Suspect shitty firmware/design though.

They've been running very smooth for 24 hours, 31 pieces deliver a steady 9,5-10 Mh/s. I'm using two raspberry Pi's. Cheap hubs and the controllers from Lightning Asic were the biggest problems with me before.

Are these prices on your website including the VAT?
