What the hell. Want to buy shares. 0.5 BTC per 10k. Take it or leave it. Let's do this shit!

The funny thing is that a lot of the guys screaming "it's over, don't check it again, it's a lost case" aren't willing to sell. At all. "I don't want to pawn this problem off to someone else" Wink

Het is al een tijdje dood geweest, nu weer een nieuwe deadline tot minimaal 14 april, wel is er een update op de uitbetalingspagina:

Quote
Withdraw history
Date    Amount    Status ('PENDING' - awaiting processing, 'EXECUTED' - withdraw sent)

Note: DRK = Dash. DRK symbol well be used on webserver pages until May to maintain compatibility with third party scripts.

And a new update on the frontpage.

Due to the holidays, withdrawals, support and other operations which are not fully automated may be delayed until Tuesday, April 14.

A pointless update. He has never responded to any support tickets and in terms of withdrawals there are none every is in pending balances. Operations a dead website must be hard to operate.
You never know, some of his hardcore defenders might be getting paid...

Chris! If you read this, I'm available as defender! Let me know! Just activate my balance Wink

I too am available, PM me!

Me too!!! "Clean" my balances, let me withdraw them and I will tell everyone how great you are (barf).

You'll have to do a little more than just one round of applause before you're in the green. Ass kissing wise that is. Wink

Pointless, yes. Notable, also.

Also a change on the withdrawal page:

I am happy to hear about compensation also but more details about how it is going to be handled would be nice.

Can't say I am thrilled with the wording "have mining contracts who incurred any loses" Isn't it safe to say we all incurred loses?

A

That depends on whether all accounts were affected. If they have split certain accounts of certain farms it's logical that a set of accounts aren't affected Smiley

Any chance you're shipping to The Netherlands? Know of quite a few people interested, PM is ok if it can't be put on the forum
They already told you that they don't:
Quote
Due to stricter import controls, we currently don't ship to the following countries: Belgium, Canada, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Ireland, Lithuania, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Sweden, Switzerland, United Arab Emirates.

I understand they don't ship at this point, but formulation is "we currently don't ship". So if there are loopholes or alternatives (besides skypax) I'm interested into discussing. Not a full-blown wholesale idea or anything, but group buy style maybe Wink

I decided to (with lead in my shoes) to pay up to Zeushash to make sure my GHs I contracts weren't cancelled there so at this point I won't be buying one, sorry.

452  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Alpha Technology Litecoin (Scrypt) ASIC Miner Order Batch 1 Now! on: April 07, 2015, 08:16:07 PM
This latest update from Alpha has delivered some wonderful satire - quite how it is possible to project manage as badly as this beggars belief.

They've had nearly a year with virtually no competition, and they've blown it all, with fail after fail after fail.
SFARDS (formerly gridseed) taped out their 2nd gen scrypt ASIC last month with an estimated power efficiency of 2W per MH/s.

I wonder if alpha will ship their 14.4 J/MH miners before SFARDS ship their 2 J/MH miners...

That's an interesting one to monitor. So far I only find "zero information, but it's going to be very cool very soon" on SFARDS Smiley
453  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: any reasonable sha256 altcoins on: April 07, 2015, 03:06:14 PM
I wish there was a SHA 256 coin like 42's for script . but sadly there is no such coin and you are better off as all are saying here just mine BTC direct . or if you really want to  mine alt coins use westhash nice hash. or get a few script miners id say around 110 MH or higher to do any good. when i say mine AC or i do, i mean script coins. or  maybe

https://www2.coinmine.pl/un/  Unobtanium coin that miner might work well there i have run my S3 there from time to time there  .

That's also a very good one, currently you could do 0.01017 (technical per TH/s/day) with straight BTC.
24 hours average payouts are currently 0.0113 BTC/TH/Day on NH.

You could even put a certain minimum amount in where you switch to an altcoin that you find interesting or straight bitcoin when it goes below that level.
454  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: any reasonable sha256 altcoins on: April 07, 2015, 02:15:42 PM
I normally hate the altcoin world but my old miner just isn't worth much on the bitcoin network.  What might I mine that has a reasonable trade in value for bitcoin.  Ideally I can use poloniex to trade or some other respected exchange.  I don't want to hodl the altcoin, just mine it and sell.

The problem is that there is so much available hashrate that the profitablity of SHA256 coins hardly goes over that of BTC.
I have a batch of obsolete miners that I've been keeping ready for a nice run on an altcoin but problem is that unless you mine and hold and hope for an upgoing trend of the coin there's not much money to be made.

I think that makes a lot of sense.  I don't usually keep up with the altcoin world so I suppose that even if such a run happens, I'll prolly be the last to know about it Sad

If you have an account at Multipool.us, check this page: https://www.multipool.us/stats.php?alg=sha256

You can see at the top:

(MP) BTC      299.1 TH/s    6h9m    1.00000000    0.00001024
PPC      3.6 TH/s    42h57m    0.00123395    0.00000941

Where 1 is the baseline profitability and 0,00123395 the profitability of the next one in line Wink

Biggest problem is that, even if it tips above the BTC % you won't be able to securely sell all your coins for that amount after they've matured Wink
455  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: LTCgear.com, the best scrypt/scrypt n/X11 cloud mining service, Not paying!!! on: April 07, 2015, 10:39:47 AM
Site is up again nothing change except asic shares update as usual.Balance still pending...also it still have the last update in the main page so just more wasting of time.  Angry

Kind Regards,
BTC-Bank.

It is like that he got an on and off switch for the websites, he switch it off and make a small announcement which give some ray of hopes to the believers, but the truth is that there is never a ray of hope
If he will pay and continue the sites, the 4+ months should have been enough for him to pay off all the outstanding loss from the customers and also if the gen2 is real it should have arrived and mined , but the fact is that he keep on keeping quite with no personal announcement from him, makes this somehow not a ray of hope but rather a warning for people to stop on believing

Well, even I'm very close to throwing the towel. I have a lot of patience with small companies, but at this point the improvements aren't actual improvements anymore.
456  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Scientific Experiment with Reward in Bitcoin on: April 07, 2015, 09:04:57 AM
University of Zurich performs an experiment that rewards participants in Bitcoins:
https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1IrJJn7Th9veghxfirrj3aQqx23nhDBhUIBGspfaybS4/viewform

That's probably the first time Bitcoin is used for scientific research. Bitcoin is a great choice as it allows for anonymous incentives.

Reddit discussion:
http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/2pzc4h/play_a_game_earn_bitcoins_for_science/

Well, looks like the experiment has ended; they're still accepting the survey but payments are over.

10 mBTC isn't huge, but what's important is that they thought of using Bitcoin as a reward, opening a new way of using Bitcoins.

It's a funny question they've put up. Don't really see what result they will get out of the questions, but hey ho. Will report back if I happen to get the reward paid out.

As expected no payouts. Has anyone (who did it before 31st of december) received an email with results or something as a follow-up? I'd be interested in the results Smiley

458  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Alpha Technology Litecoin (Scrypt) ASIC Miner Order Batch 1 Now! on: April 07, 2015, 07:03:18 AM
LOL...the 10x hashing increase he's talking about is the same 25 -> 250 MH (or 5 -> 25 MH) increase they offered early last year, when KNC announced the Titans as a competing product. It's his way of pointing out that they REALLY went the extra mile for their customers. As if that hashrate means anything, today - the devices are obsolete before they've even been produced. His failure to acknowledge this either says A) he's totally unfamiliar with the market or B) he's a moron. It's likely the new SFARDS hardware will hit the network before these guys ever ship a single device, and there will be no point to ever turning a Viper on, at all. Actually, with an 80% increase in power consumption, there's really no point to turning one on NOW.

They have outsourced every aspect of this production and were insanely over-confident in their ability to deliver. They've screwed up just about every aspect of the process and had to re-do almost everything. Yet somehow, they still feel justified in keeping peoples' final payments...even though they're currently nine months past their announced shipping date (mid-July). They stated in the pre-order details that they'd only ask for final payment 8-10 weeks before shipping. They're WAY past the point of breaching that agreement and it's just laughable that they defend themselves by saying we agreed to it by pre-ordering. We agreed to make final payment 8-10 weeks before shipping. We lived up to our end of the deal...they didn't, bottom line.

Unfortunately, because 100% of this project is outsourced, I would be willing to bet that they have NO assets to liquidate in a winding up petition (he's probably running this from his living room, at this point) and at best, it would just shut down Alpha Technology as a going concern...which would be fine with me, as I don't want to see these hucksters doing business in crypto, ever again.

To me it seems that none of the big producers have been able to make a stable and fast Scrypt miner. Bitmain quit before delivering, Titan's were (afaik) crap, this one seems to have big problems to put it nicely.

Awesome indeed, but not sure if they're from the owner... The pictures come from the old Gridseed website and from a chinese forum Grin One of those pictures is from a guy who said he had, if I'm not mistaken, 800 5 chip's...

Even 13,09 euro you're not going to earn back with that thing Wink
