381  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] UNUSED BULWARK SECURE HOME NODE [FREE SHIPPING] on: July 30, 2018, 05:33:53 PM
That looks an awful lot like a $35 raspberry pi in a fancy case. What makes it worth $100?
382  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining Software, Nicehash, Whales, Big Pools, ASICS on: July 27, 2018, 09:22:05 PM
Im betting he has not one shred of evidence to back up these tin foil hat theories. If you dont like mining just get the fuck out of here, nobody else needs your negativity.

Even your mention about eth hash rate being the same on older cards until now shows that you dont even understand mining fundamentals.

If you dont like how things are then simply go away, if you keep posting this dumb bullshit someone might actually believe you. Thats how FUD spreads.
383  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Domain For Sale: BitcoinUnlimited (dot) co on: July 27, 2018, 05:21:58 PM
why would anyone pay all this money for a domain based off a failed bitcoin fork? I cant even see it being worth $10. Are people really so dumb they would overpay for something like this when they could just register bitcoinunlimited.anything else for less than $10?
384  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Bitmain coming to Texas. on: July 24, 2018, 05:24:34 PM
The electricity price in Texas is not attractive for mining enterprises. I doubt it’s really true.

Thats not true at all. I was looking at a spot in texas with sub 4 cent power so I know its available. You guys have to remember when you buy in bulk for mining you arent just paying local commercial rates, you buy the power on the open market.
385  Economy / Goods / Re: I sell WINDOWS ISOs for BTC on: July 24, 2018, 04:36:04 PM
What is the point of this when you can download windows isos for free from microsoft? Its the key that costs money not the download.
386  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Innosilicon releases 3 kinds of A10 ETH Miner 365MH/s 432MH/s 485MH/s on: July 24, 2018, 03:39:41 PM
How do you people still not under stand the whole PoS thing? Even when it goes into production it will only be on a limited scale, its not like they are gonna flip a switch and turn off eth mining overnight. Do 10 minutes of research so you dont sound so dumb.
387  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: What has happened to bitmain having the most efficient gear? on: July 24, 2018, 03:30:07 PM
If you are comparing bitmain gear to inno gear its pretty simple.

inno gear is and has always been pretty terrible, its overpriced, and the customer service makes bitmain look like champions. When you have to run the gear for 2 years to make the efficiency difference meaningful it should be pretty obvious why bitmain doesnt feel the need to bring their new product out yet.
388  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Drop $300, PandaMiner B3 Pro New Batches Release on: July 19, 2018, 05:59:23 PM
Considering these are made with obsolete AMD GPUs, the options for what you can sue this for a severely limited. Plus your price is about $1000 too high at the moment. You might want to look into NVIDIA based rigs,so people can use them for AI, deep learning, and other things besides just mining a single coin or two.
389  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: POS to overtake POW? on: July 19, 2018, 05:53:01 PM
PoS is dangerous, it puts all of the power back into the hands of the rich. If the industry heads that way we are in for dark times.
390  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum ASIC Miner - Bitmain Antminer E3 and How YOU can help Hardfork ETH on: July 17, 2018, 05:50:29 PM

Given your argument, one could also say a lack of algo change could easily propel ETH below Ethereum Classic. Why would anyone invest in a technology that is not willing to adapt to changes?

As a GPU miner, i'm all for banning ASICs to keep my rigs profitable. As an investor, i'd still vote for banning ASICs to ensure no single company monopolizes the mining industry.

The overall ignorance in this thread is staggering. the quoted post is especially hilarious to me. Hard forking away from ASICs is the side of this coin that is unwilling to adapt to changes. You have it completely backwards. Everyones opinion is based on greed because they already own their rigs. This device fosters adoption by people that dont want to spend $3000 on a GPU rig thats slower than this $800 machine. You can run this without having to constantly tweak and flash BIOS and watch for crashes. GPU mining is a giant pain in the ass compared to a set it and forget it ASIC.
391  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Maintenance of rig capacitors on: July 17, 2018, 05:43:22 PM
You should be fine shutting your rigs off and turning them on. While yes technically 24/7 operation is ideal due to no power on surges etc these are just basic computer parts. They are meant to be turned off and on, you should have no issue. It sounds like your friend just had some bad luck.
392  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Hacking the S7 - improving efficiency through minor hardware manipulation on: July 12, 2018, 03:34:18 PM
Sidehack, or others... anyone offer (or willing to do) this as a paid service, for those of us that don't have the knowledge/comfort to do so ourselves?

Its really not worth the time or effort to ship it, have it done, send it back and all that nonsense. Plus when you dont like how it runs and you start to complain, nobody wants to deal with that.

Just man up and do it yourself, it costs almost nothing for a PIC programmer and then like 15 minutes of your time to actually do it.
393  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Antminer S7 startup/boot fan speed on: July 12, 2018, 03:24:12 PM
Sorry you are just gonna have to deal with it. Its part of the system booting up, checking that the fan is fully working.
394  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is It Worth It? (Pool + My Rig) on: July 10, 2018, 10:17:34 PM
You either listed your video card wrong or have no clue what the actual specs are.

Without that information nobody can answer your question.

the 1080Ti came with 11gb of GDDR5X memory, I dont think any of the 10 series Nvidia cards ever came with 4gb of RAM.
395  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Solution to mining centralization; Reward bottom 50% mining power with altcoin on: July 06, 2018, 03:29:28 PM
This is a stupid idea. The last thing we need is another shitcoin.
396  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB]🌟Antminer Z9 mini 🌟cheap🌟 read explanation why I do not pay $2,000🌟 on: July 02, 2018, 09:16:17 PM
You doom and gloom guys are hilarious. They wont recoup the investment? You must not math very well.
Try googling what happens to crypto mining profitability once too much hashing Power enters the network. Or you could just look at the S9, L3+, A3, D3. Or you could just keep typing ignorant comments that just prove that you know very little about the real world of mining. Your choice.

The funniest part about your statement is I have more mining experience than 95% of the forum put together. I currently manage over 11,000 ASIC based miners, so I think I know a bit about what I am saying. I would venture to say you are the ignorant one.

Currently before power these are making $800+ a month easy. I would bet on a 4 to 5 month payoff no problem on these. If you are one of those home idiots mining on $0.13/kwh power of course you arent going to make money. You should have realized that and stopped long ago.

I am willing to bet nobody is tripping over themselves to give OP miners at a discount that is not yet warranted based on market conditions and profitability.

Also...basing anything on the failure of the B3 is idiotic. Only the extremely gullible would buy a miner that can mine a single coin with no history of profitability. So using that to compare against a miner that can mine half a dozen coins is stupid, just like your comments Ben.
