181  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 29, 2018, 06:51:16 PM
I noticed something on this thread.

The big and medium bitcoin stacks holder that are posting here for years turned to be talking like this now:

1/ When bitcoin is dumping very hard = they post about bitcoin price in a very conservative bearish mode + less posts.

I think its normal when one is holding asset which value is substantially increasing (/decreasing)

Quote
2/ ... The rich bitcoiners here talks very hard about jews, then silver, then jews, then silver.. and other bullshit topics ( thats the good manners of the rich bitcoiners).
I dont think r0ach is rich bitcoiner. I've read here, that he dumped all his bitcoins when they were still very cheap for metals. and now he is sour because of that :0

GOOD Time for a huge surprise short squeeze  Grin

Finally some volume. Don't care which way, just do something.
looks like market testing spike. whats interesting, is how it happened on many coins at the same time.
i'd like to know if it was also coordinated on more exchanges, or originated only on one
184  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: May 26, 2018, 09:03:34 PM
What "airdrop"?
the merit IMO?  Grin free merits at the beginning [based on rank minimum at that time]

Somewhat related, I downloaded the decentralized exchange, bisq.

It's pretty interesting in that you can see the amount of trades daily. US dollar trades are around 15 per day.

I went ahead and set up a sell order in baht for my gf to test it out in Thailand. Set it at 10% though so no bites.

It's not that great but at least a start.
Looks interesting, I'll have a closer look at it over the weekend.
I really hope decentralised exchanges will improve and take off, as the risk of hacks scams and raids on current exchanges is pretty high + likely fractional reserve on most of largest ones ;
there is much higher chance of losing coins due to this than by bad trading.

I took this opportunity in the drop in ETH to convert some BTC to ETH so I can buy my future seastead home with varyon.

Hopefully this dip just got me a few extra square meters.
Shocked
if you are serious, be careful; that crapereum is falling against the bitcoin too, it may go down much deeper % to fiat than BTC.
191  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 23, 2018, 04:33:28 PM

150 confirmation for a ZEN deposit need vs 2 with Binance.

look for the error... more than 6 hours of wait !!!
SHAME
Zen is all about patience and relaxing of mind. you could use some of that while waiting Grin

194  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Litecoin - a lite version of Bitcoin. Launched! on: May 22, 2018, 09:14:46 PM
It doesnt look too well. Liquidity on the market has dried out and its still slowly drifting lower day by day.

NO...IMHO that is...Bitmain is the main mnfg of about 90% or more ASIC's of any flavor..not just LTC and pow-scrypt....sha-256 and blake2b, etc

Thus no scarcity will be involved...just them taking over as a monopoly say of pow-scrypt...in that they probably have a better pow-scrypt miner in the works
Its interesting that after all those years, there is still no decent competition in ASICs manufacturing. I used to think other companies will see the huge market potential and jump into developing their own asics. But no, so far the monopoly is getting stronger :/
195  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] PURE - Decentralized Exchange - Masternodes - PoS - Dex Shares on: May 22, 2018, 09:07:00 PM
Yea I really think it was a way for them to either pay people with money they didn't have or possibly an exit scheme (which I hope isn't the case I would feel bad for everyone invested)

Its been planned on their roadmap since the beginning  Grin

If you checked, there is/was nothing planned for Q3 and beyond..

Any updates regarding The MoneroV new coin?
yep
Its turning out to be scammy shitcoin, so no decent exchange would even consider listing it.  Roll Eyes

any news for the site? I can help if need to.
this is interesting.
Someone has to own those 3 000 000 ORBs, but almost noone seems to care :/

The person who has designed and maintained our web site cannot do it any more due to his work schedule and other priorities. So, it has to be moved elsewhere which isn't really a problem. However the site is done in both English and French. I cannot maintain the latter.
Great! so we will have website back online after all Smiley English only is good enough for a start.

What about creating some small  bounty for translations into more languages? like Chinese, German, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, Russian etc?
199  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The market does not look good! on: May 16, 2018, 09:38:44 PM
market is stable somehow
only calm before the crash storm begins  Cool
200  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Litecoin - a lite version of Bitcoin. Launched! on: May 16, 2018, 08:43:59 PM
Searing: Your reasoning sounds good, but to me, the markets looks suspicious. I wouldn't be surprised, if it went below $100, before it goes above $200.

Same goes for bitcoin. Whales are either loading up some coins before pump, or trying to sell as many coins as possible here [without pushing price down fast too early] before initiating massive dump. Im watching order books trying to figure out whats going on below surface, but i have no clue yet Cheesy
There is something fishy going on, whole price action of last couple of days is weird. Im curious what will be the outcome.

+many miners can mine with loss for some time, and keep the coins without selling them instantly. some can do it for months until price is favorable again-as they did in the past
