i''m pretty shure there are way more dark people in xc threads than the other way around. some say they hold both, thats fine. but getting in here saying the community stinks i don't get it. you stink by your own definition in exact that moment.
dark vs xc is getting like that israel palestine shit. both sides claim the others started, both claim the others provoke. and no end in sight.
but you see more dark sigs in the xc thread than the other way around i'm pretty shure about that.

You have pretty much missed my point.

My point was that as a member of the XC community your primary goal is to contribute to the benefit of the extended XC community.

But even now your still talking about Coin vs Coin and not contributing anything meaningful at all.

Please leave and take the other 49% with you if you don't mind.

The only official forum with great questions and a few developments (keep the coming!).

I did, I had to read stuff like this:

Although it must be nice being the DRK dev who has to have nearly a Mil in the bank.

Your as bad as the rest, don't pretend not to be.

This extreme hate versus other coins and lack of any reasonable technical understanding regarding mechanics is quite simply worst than the FUD spreaders.

Nope, to be honest it means just what it says. It must be nice to have a Mil, whether its DRK, DOGE, whatever.

Youre fishing at this point. You want to bash the people bashing other coins. So you feel this is a better alternative then people just bashing coins? This will not help the Community aspect you say is lacking.

Umm, there is a community all right; it just stinks.

Yes, I feel bashing the people who bash other coins, have no reasonable technical understanding yet proclaim they require evidence that such and such or so and so is wrong or worse yet; run unapproved tests or challenges offering bounties, compounding the entire situation or just the wannabe day traders who reckon that crypto is a way out of their current circumstances.

So, yes. I'd rather be rid of all you dim whits - Just to clarify.

Trying to learn something:

Would it be possible for a Xnode to combine multiple accounts eg: all B-addresses for receiving & all C-addresses for sending. (you initially start your Xnode with your own balance in the C-account group) After a while coins would be "moved" from C -> B-account by handling anon transactions.
Then the Xnode uses another Xnode to move the coins from B, back to a new address in C.

As long as the second fase is larger than atleast 2 transactions from the first fase it seems possible to me, prove seems difficult coz the second transaction would combine the input of multiple other anon-transactions. Maybe even combine this with more standard 'parts' of an anon transaction (eg: split them up like std money bills, first 1, 2, 5, 10 etc and then some small coins)

The output to the other node will combine all b-addresses but how to prove they match an previous handeld anon-transaction from that node?

This dude for example. Everyone just breezes over posts like these, are they too difficult? Did anyone take the time to reply? Nope. Too busy, yap, yap, yap, can I get a shuttle to the moon, etc?

See what I mean ^^

My post wasn’t bashing dark and I will not be a martyr for your claim and to prove some righteous point. I was stating that people are not interested in a lot of the anonymous features being presented, but rather sit idle and wait for one to actually perform. If you take this as such, then you have a very sensitive point of view.

Oh please..

I reckon this is pretty important but it'll just be ignored and swallowed up alongside the rest of the constant Coin vs Coin or Daily Price Movements conversation, that a majority are here for, so I'll just let it be said and forgotten:

It doesn't matter how good a coin is, it's Dev or it's features. It matters how good a community it has and currently, this one stinks. You do more harm that good, over half of you shouldn't bother posting logging into BCT.

The Open Alpha is scheduled on 6/25. Let's the countdown begin. We will be inviting selective users into the closed Alpha testing starting in a couple of days. The priority goes to helpers/ volunteers who are in the Trello board or answer the volunteer survey earlier so there is no need to sign up now. Thanks.

On behalf of the NEM dev. team.

Excellent. Thank you for the update  Wink
29  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XC][OFFICIAL] X11/PoS/Privacy on: June 12, 2014, 05:20:50 PM
The question is... "DO I" have the technical skill to prove that is "FUD" or "lies" ?

Fixed that for you.

maybe you can explain us where he is wrong ?

Getting a bit tired of this now. I'll post up loads of details with arrows and all sorts and you'll just wait for someone to _prove_ me wrong (implying I am correct, I must be.. I used arrows and all sorts)

/yawn

Either you get it or you don't.. Chaeplin gets it.. ACT gets it.. The ongoing debate is at a loggerhead over different specifics.

I guess if you don't have whits you quote and post right?

Heard this several times on the channel as well, thanks for your input. 30k is too much - I'm requesting 10K from the dev. Pretty confident he'll be OK with that. Keep in mind, this app is usable RIGHT NOW. Thankfully Apple changed their stance on crypto recently. He's put of fair bit of time into the dev work and is focussed on releasing new mobile features. He'll be working on the SMS app tonight, but targeting the weekend to have it out.

Alliance

Spoken a bit in IRC.

First things, first.

Doesn't anyone get involved and actually contribute any more? It seems to me that everyone is just after a 'bounty' and this is may be even a little bit worse, approaching the Dev directly for something that is already on the roadmap.

So.. a 'mobile-app' does not equal a replacement for a 'mobile-wallet'. What is being proposed is a simple JSON-RPC interface and I assume the bounty is to 'tweak' it so that the custom XC (mixer) commands work. Let's be honest, that is not a whole load of work, not even worth a days wages working for a company that would require something like this of you.

Without a 'web-wallet' with an API, this JSON-RPC 'mobile-app' would need to be configured to point towards your local (PC) wallet, so x11coin-qt or x11coind - That would need to be online and accessible over the Internet.

Truth be told, I would have to urge everyone to steer clear of this if it is to be a bounty request. It would not benefit a majority of XC users.

That being said, lnash - If your colleague at work is really interested, ask him to drop by and offer some Demos. XC users that may require this functionality may be prepared to offer something on a per case basis.

Cryptogretzky, Dadon, DRRobert, Wevus, Evtrmm, Mikemikemike, Jestersdead, Greyskies, 520bit, Jasinlee, Teka, Pizpie and anyone else interested:

Huge differentiator XC MOBILE APP has been created (Android and IPhone) but not released
- quick mobile transfer
- balance checks
- full control over keys
- advanced QR code scanner
- mixer support coming

If we want to do an exclusive launch with XC - message me in our IRC channel #XCofficial - I'm there as Alliance.

I spoke with the mobile app developer and he sees the potential in XC, likes the community, and may do it for a XC bounty.
He was originally looking to do the launch with a different coin; however, if we can get in there quickly, it's ours.

By request, I set up a quick fundraiser site for us to get the mobile app released with XC.

http://net-elite.org/xc/

 - EXCLUSIVE XC launch
 - quick mobile transfer
 - balance checks
 - full control over keys
 - advanced QR code scanner
 - mixer support coming!

Questions? Message me in our IRC channel #XCofficial - I'm there as Alliance.

Is this even officially approved? It's on the roadmap and I'd rather wait for the official release from the official Dev.

Just a word of warning if you are considering donating (30K XC - Ouch) until we've heard back. Smells awful fishy..

I'd like to see somebody match input/outputs on the last transaction I posted...
I don't think anyone will be able to. But is the bounty only 100 XC...or about 0.15 BTC?
Saw some members putting up a lot larger bounty sums up before. If maketing is in place & ATC had some more time for additional coding this could go viral....

somebody is trying to make a link AFTER the fact LOL

Now that is funny  Cool
34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XC][OFFICIAL] X11/PoS/Privacy on: June 11, 2014, 09:05:42 PM
Hmm. I don't see any link back to the original transaction
maybe this will help
original transaction --->>>> which was sent TO this address "XYyMMG1VQHyRhAQWGdRQ9AEfdwSuG7w18G"
http://cryptexplorer.com/address/XYyMMG1VQHyRhAQWGdRQ9AEfdwSuG7w18G
so now I've revealed the transaction ^^^^^ with this data you should be able to find the original senders wallet ^^^^^^ then take that original senders wallet and search XVrqrpe2ZDmykAnjcAHN6McbuDEjBZSvRZ for the link
There is a bounty for proving the link for this transaction stated above
and I have provided both ends, so all the hard work is done

Impossible  Grin

In a real life situation you would not have an MD5 would you?  All you would have is the incoming amount and TX ID.
Therefore, I hashed the MD5 including the sender and receiver, and zipped it.  It is there. the password will be available later - say 4 pm CST, so 3hr45mins from now.

he already posted something.  check it now

and if he somehow cracked the zip , you guys have to be kidding me

evtrmm, where are you now. need you here.

All chaeplin did was search for transactions that equal = 2.2, he failed to show any link between the two

Put an end to this.. People posting up "Tests" or "Challenges" need to know there is clearly a difference between "Tell me the FROMADDRESS" and "Show me a link back to the FROMADDRESS".

If you are going to offer "Tests/Challenges" then do it right. Run the sendfrommixer 10 times, each from a different sentfrom address to the same sendto address with the same amount. Then ask which address is it for 1 of the 10 specific transactions. (This is needed as with so few mixed transactions going on right now, you can massively cut down the "guess work" when you know the amount sent.

Anyways, I am sure it can be implemented down the road.

DNS seeding will be implemented shortly as well
37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XC][OFFICIAL] X11/PoS/Privacy on: June 09, 2014, 03:32:21 AM
the same here. my wallet .36 or .37 no longer works unless i add X11Coin.conf with addnode=west01.xcnode.xc-official.com/addnode=east01.xcnode.xc-official.com
to none tech person this mean you can't use XC
XC wallet need to auto connect/syn.

Any reason my Wallet no longer works??

Its nothing difrent than any other wallet. There are a very few coins where you dont need to add nodes in the .conf file.

i have more than 10 other wallets and none require me to add .conf file.
XC is the first ever coin to require this and it will never work to the mass. it used to work before, no need .conf

What would you do if you had to solo mine?
i never mine and don't plan to mine anytime soon.

and I bet every single one you have is only because you want to make BTC with it
38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XC][OFFICIAL] X11/PoS/Privacy on: June 09, 2014, 02:50:49 AM
How hard would it have been for atcsecure to include that in his recent post?  He can't expect everyone to follow this thread religiously.  He needs to inform people what the changes are when he posts a new wallet.  That is announcement 101.  My god.

Seriously, atcsecure needs to learn how to market his wallet releases. AKA tell people why they are important.

I don't follow this thread religiously.

I expect he will once it is formalized, these are only testing releases.

v1.37 Windows Wallet

http://xc-official.com/release/wallets/

I will update user guides tomorrow morning, with the correct details

Also there are 3 core nodes - DNS seeding will be implemented shortly as well, the run-xc.bat batch also disables IRC via the "-irc" option, so make sure you have nodes listed in your X11Coin.conf if you use the batch file

east01.xcnode.xc-official.com
west01.xcnode.xc-official.com
west02.xcnode.xc-official.com

ATCSECURE

What is the significant change/s of this updated wallet?  Why release a new wallet and not tell why it was updated?

bump....

What chaplin is doing is very basic. He is vetting the blockchain for the transaction amount -0.00001 transaction fee.
Just as an example:
So lets say an amount of 1 XC was sent on block 2135. It will be split and sent to 1 mixer address in multiple payments. What happens next is another mixer address sends 0.99999 to the intended address.
What he does is then looks in future blocks for an address that received a total amount of 0.99999 and bam he gets it.

I have a system in mind that I can share with the atcsecure if he wants but it should rather be done in an irc page where we can have a flowing conversation.

Yes so in this release we are NOT splitting the output, the code will be in v1.37, v1.37 will split the outputs randomly as well to stop this type of analysis

this is an easy fix

Keep up, can't believe I had to find that for you, read yourself rather than bumping your own posts

EDIT: Oh right, now I see you've bolded it too
