The stupidity of the Gox traders is overwhelming. How these morons can be selling in the 300s right now is a testiment to how stupid a wide swath of bitcoiners are.  The conspiracy theorist and worst casers and the lemmings who listen to them are all a basket of crazy.

I have not for one instant believed that Gox would do anything other than fix the issue and go back to business as usual.

These traders really take the cake. First, they choose to use an exchange that has the highest fees, worst customer service and fewest withdrawal possibilities. Then they pay a 20% premium on their bitcoin for literally weeks. And now they sell their bitcoin for 50% on the dollar despite very limited fiat withdrawal options.

These people deserve every damn thing that is coming to them. The stupidity is off the charts.

Your case has been addressed in a related ticket: https://www.bitstamp.net/*******

Should you have any additional questions, please feel free to ask.

Best regards,"

Hi all, I am tring to withdraw fiat from bitstamp. I am their customer since more than a year and I already withdrew fiat. Now a couple of days ago I tried to withdraw and since they didn't I wrote to support. Here their answer:

"We received your withdrawal request. As your withdrawal request met some of our volume and frequency thresholds, we will have to kindly ask you to help us better understand the nature of your relationship with Bitstamp. In order to do so, we require that an additional KYC (know your customer) procedure is completed before we can proceed with the processing of your transfer.

We kindly ask you to send us a high resolution image double page of your international passport and answer the following KYC questionnaire:

1. How did you learn about Bitcoin?
2. What is the purpose of your trading on Bitstamp? Please describe in as much detail as possible how you intend to use your trading account.
3. Which bank are you using? Please provide the complete address and SWIFT code.
4. Estimated amount that you would be depositing/withdrawing to/from your Bitstamp account per month (in USD and BTC)?
5. What type of trading will you conduct? Buying/selling/both? Estimated trade volume per month?
6. What is the source of the funds which you are depositing to your Bitstamp account? Please provide any financial documentation which can confirm how the funds sent to your Bitstamp account were acquired.

We kindly ask you to submit your answers and documents in a reply to this ticket."

Does anybody know what's happening?Huh?'

Crash and burn, papa need some cheap coins!

You had 5 years to buy cheap coins. It's extremely arrogant and really just ridiculous to want a huge economy to crash and burn so that you can buy a few coins 100 bucks cheaper.

Post of the year.

+1000000

Thanks.
These kind of posts really just amaze me.
Great post man! +100.000

I'm curious what if anything is going to happen once the 31st comes and nothing happens in China.
Even if nothing is going to happen, I expect some serious dumps one or more days before. People will go fiat just in case. Personally I'm going to hold + transfer some more fiat to the exchange for buying at 300 Wink

I expect a rally, China was just scaring us away from the cheap coins...

Been away for a day. Any bad news at the moment, or just consolidation for its own sake?

Yes. The FBI plans on crashing the price to single digits within weeks.

Ok after this expect the launch of shuttles toward mars and bitcoin to 2.000 for the end of January.......

394  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 08, 2014, 01:26:49 AM
Moved all of my bids in the $10-20 range. I suggest you all do the same.

Keep dreaming

That guy used to write the same kind of foolish even when price was 100$. The more he says "heartquake, storm, tsunami" and so on, the more the price goes up. This is the only reason I didn't pushed the ignore button  Grin

Perfect storm approaching: Obvious manipulation on Houbi. All China exchanges getting shut down by end of Jan. China's eBay just banned sales of miners. FBI knows something we don't and has lost faith in bitcoin.

The end is near.

LOL

you are a funny guy. Stop smoking weed dude  Wink

397  Economy / Speculation / Re: I predict BTC/USD will fall to $2 by December 31, 2013 on: December 28, 2013, 09:14:55 AM
I was surprised to see this old post get dug up! I have no idea how I came to write this regrettably ultra-bearish dribble. But, I DID mention a few times that I am no psychic or statistician, or whatever. It just goes to show you that you can't just extrapolate on anything. Mea culpa. So sorry. I am just bad at predicting. You should never follow my advice or prediction or whatever. This IS a speculation forum, isn't it???

LOL man, it's funny to see after all these months what really happened. But by your side you have the fact that it's merely impossible to really predict where the hell bitcoin, and in general crypto currencies, will be after several months.

But, to me, for sure it tends to go up up up.

I finished.

Oh yeah I almost forgot

HOOOOOOOOOODDDLLLL!!!!!!!!

Yeah; Cyprus #2 for all EU. Enjoy bank bailout now! (at your expenses)  Shocked

Damd, I guess the USD is a much safer alternative:
http://rt.com/business/budget-deal-us-trillion-063/

It must be safe when over half the nations budget is spent on defence and tapering will receive a huge boost of confidence from the markets. Bet the bears are feeling very secure with nearly 100% fiat atm Wink

Not for long buddy... not for long...  Wink

Didn't you hear the news, a downtrend is prophesied. Ok, it keeps going up between the dumps but its still a downtrend when zoomed out so the upward pressure must be a statistical anomaly or something. Just think how terrible it would be if that upward pressure is real and the bears have to buy back those hundreds of thousands of dumped coins.

That would be terrible.  however very basic technical analysis says that won't be the case.  Below $800 on gox within the next 24 hours.  before further drops is what I see.

The bad news are backed by very good news; Starting from tomorrow until wednesday there could be a spike. But eventually we will see very soon.

I prepare my horns for the bull race anyway  Grin
