21  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: AML/KYC Explained on: March 25, 2018, 04:44:43 PM
Countries like United States and Singapore have their own set of rules regarding purchasing crypto assets and other financial services specially banking. in order to acquire digital currencies and services from bank and other financial institute one has to go through certain verification process of identity check where you have to present identity proof documents. this process is called KYC or know your customer. AML or anti money laundering is similar process conducts to prevent the criminal activities.
22  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin really secure? on: March 25, 2018, 04:38:21 PM
As far as i know Bitcoin is really secure. Thanks to its proof of work and proof of stake consensus mechanism. these consensus secure the bitcoin blockchain from issues like double spending and attacks like 51%. As long as you are not sharing your private keys with anyone Bitcoin is really secure.
23  Economy / Marketplace / Network Value to Transactions (NVT): Best crypto asset valuation model on: March 25, 2018, 04:30:03 PM
When it comes to defining the dollar value of crypto asset transaction activity relative to network value or the crypto asset valuation framework I really appreciate the NVT or The Network Value to Transactions (NVT) ratio. NVT ratio is similar to the price-earnings ratio (PE Ratio), one we use in the traditional stock market but in this case, we are dealing with crypto assets instead of companies. NVT Ratio can be used as a valuation metric for almost any other crypto-assets or coins. I came know to know about NVT when the Bitcoin prices were soaring up and really helped me to predict whether it was the bubble or not.
24  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Why i love Waves? (WAVES coin) on: March 25, 2018, 04:26:51 PM
The reason I really adore waves is that unlike other cryptocurrencies Waves does not try to replace Bitcoin. In fact, Waves allows you to create your own cryptocurrencies within no time and it is one of a unique feature of the Waves platform. Waves platform gives people an alternate way of digitizing their asset in form of custom tokens. You can create your own tokens of anything with just one WAVES (native Waves currency) as fees on Waves platform.
25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / how can you create your own Altcoin or token? on: March 25, 2018, 04:15:16 PM
The answer is Waves platform.
Waves is the decentralized financial trading platform that is built on its own blockchain where you can create your own custom tokens which is its main feature.  Like all other cryptocurrencies have their own tokens, Waves also introduced their native token called WAVES which is the fuel of the platform. Waves, in summary, is a very quick way of creating tokens and these tokens can be used to represent anything in the world. They can be even reused to represent the gold, diamonds, US dollars, and other commodities. Anyone can create the token on waves and it just cost one WAVES to create any token you want. Isn’t it just amazing that you can create your own crypto coin with few clicks?   Shocked
26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / What makes Monero unique and quite promising opportunity to invest? on: March 25, 2018, 04:10:49 PM
Currently, Monero is holding 11th place in terms of market capital and worth whopping $220.89. The all-time high was around an astounding $495.84 on 7th January 2018. The monero is available on the variety of popular exchanges. Most volume goes through Poloniex, HitBTC, and Bittrex. Other exchanges include coin-swap, BTer, Melotic, CryptLocal, and Shapeshift. Monero’s supply schedule is a hybrid of Litecoin and Dogecoin. For Monero, a new block is appended to its blockchain every 2 minutes, similar to Litecoin’s 2.5 minutes. Like Dogecoin, however, it will have a small degree of inflation for its entire life beginning in May 2022, when 0.3 Monero will be released every minute, totaling 157,680 Monero every year. At that time, there will be 18.1 million units of Monero outstanding, so inflation in that first year will be only 0.87 percent.  As we head further into the future that inflation decreases as the base of Monero outstanding increases. Interestingly, in 2040 there will be nearly equivalent units of bitcoin and Monero outstanding, and in the period of 2019 to 2027, Monero’s rate of supply inflation will be lower than Bitcoin’s, but in all other periods, the opposite is true.
Expectedly, Monero’s ability to create privacy in transactions was a technological breakthrough that was recognized within the crypto asset community and the markets. By the end of 2016, Monero had the fifth largest network value of any cryptocurrency and was the top performing digital currency in 2016, with a price increase over the year of 2,760 percent. This clearly demonstrates the level of interest in privacy protecting cryptocurrency. Some of that interest, no doubt, comes from less than savory sources. please comment you thoughts on Monero whether it is good crypto asset to hold for long term?
27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] STORM Token: Earn Free Cryptocurrency[ICO] on: March 24, 2018, 02:10:51 AM
https://bitinfocharts.com/comparison/ethereum-transactionfees.html#3m

that chart means your token is worthless.... lol. you can't facilitate micro-transactions on a network where the average cost per transaction right now (lowest point this year) is 37 cents! 3 transactions cost a dollar!!!! ha!!! maybe if you had it on a better network like expanse...
unless eth tanks this will be worthless as a token on the eth network.

I don't log on here often... ideas don't make anything valuable...
Don't know where does this fee price come from. 37 cents?! Fee for my recent Ethereum transactions and contracts was 2 to 4 cents which is not bad not even for microtransactions. Visa and Mastercard take more fee from the seller for most transactions.
28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GPU mining will die in 2018! on: March 18, 2018, 11:52:52 PM
I know many people who bought 10s of top tier GPUs in the last couple of months when they were overpriced. Because they joined the party late and didn't want to miss any more days. But the profitability on most GPU minable coins is very low now so many of them will start selling their whole rigs at half price. I expect this and if it really happens, I will buy them. It is a risk but I think that the demand for GPU mining is so big that new cryptocurrencies will come that will give advantage to GPUs again so there will always be a coin to mine. But people who are used to mining only ETH, will soon quit because it will not be profitable anymore.
29  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: 🔥🔥[ANN]🔥🔥 ONEMILLIONTOKEN - We are live!!🔥🔥 on: March 18, 2018, 11:43:23 PM
Why did I get a digital signature window when I opened your website? I could use the digital signature that I use for my online bank, but I declined of course.
Anyway, the website and picture showed up and I can see that some pixels were already bought.
I like the idea including the decentralized aspect, so that buyer and seller can make a trade without an intermediary (exchange). But I still don't understand how do you buy pixels now, when most pixels don't have the owner yet. Can I buy them for lowest price, 0.000001 ETH per pixel?
30  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Education Ecosystem  - 2018 Road Map Implementation on: March 18, 2018, 11:30:24 PM
So learners will pay for educational content (projects) using LEDU tokens. Value of LEDU tokens will go up and down depending on demand -> price on exchanges. So the prices for subscriptions will be in USD or in LEDU? If you expect that price of LEDU token will grow, then subscription will become too expansive.
31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] ⭐Fractal Token (FTO)⭐ - The Bullish Token on: March 18, 2018, 11:15:46 PM
No soft cap, wich mean only hard cap for this project
so, what will happend to the contributors if this project didn't reach the hard cap ?

Hello, nice question!

Nothing will change, the more tokens will be sold during the ICO, the more ethers will the CryptoFund have to start its operations.

However, even if hardcap will not be reached (very possible), Fractal Tokens will still be listed in exchanges and contributors will be able to hold them or sell them (should they want to) at any time.

People will as well be able to buy Fractal Tokens in exchanges should they have missed out the ICO, although once tokens hits the exchanges, the price will not be fixed anymore (it will probably go higher as per plan).

Hope it was of help!
Which exchanges are interested in your token? Do you plan to use ICO money for listing?

Why is there such a time gap between announcement in January and beginning of ICO few days ago?
32  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How To Promote A Telegram News Channel - Helper is Needed on: March 18, 2018, 11:00:28 PM
I will check it out and if I like the selection of news, then I will invite few friends. You need to posts news ASAP, but not too many of them, because people already get too many messages and notifications on Telegram. So your best bet would be that you only post most important news, no spam, no ads so that people will recommend your channel forward.
33  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-03-18] Reuters - G20 watchdog ... holds fire on cryptocurrencies on: March 18, 2018, 10:24:34 PM
I'm almost sure that cryptocurrencies will be discussed in Buenos Aires on Tuesday 20th March. Okay, crypto-assets don't pose risk to global financial stability, but that doesn't mean that it's an unimportant topic.
34  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it worth trading in such deeps? on: March 18, 2018, 06:35:16 PM
I am trading with AION and I grew it from 100 to 183 AIONs now.
Even with all this dip, there are those coins which stays alive because they have the project that is intact that is why people are still buying it.
Although if it is converted to USD I will have the same amount, the number of BTC that I have really grown much.

Maybe they should stop converting and just try to earn more bitcoin. That is the clue for most of the successful traders.
It's more difficult to trade altcoins in depression times but it is possible like you proved. I prefer to trade BTC-fiat in these times, but my goal is the same - to end up with more BTC. I don't really care about USD value of my portfolio. If bitcoin drops 20% but I end up with 10 or 15% more bitcoins, then I am happy, despite the fact that my USD value actually dropped a little bit.
35  Economy / Economics / Re: 174,225 Satoshis/per person for every person in this world. You there yet? on: March 18, 2018, 11:10:51 AM
The article is 3 months old so the price has fallen since then, but the point stays the same. Even if you own just 0.01 BTC which is 1,000,000 satoshis, you already own much more then your "fair share" considering world population. It is utopian to expect that every person will own some satoshis.
36  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] 💰⛏ 💰⛏ 💰⛏ ICE ROCK MINING ICO2 - LIFETIME PROFIT on: March 18, 2018, 10:08:50 AM
I saw the photo of interview with Malik in your News telegram channel, but it is too small to read. Can you post close up photo so we can read the interview?
37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: facebook and twitter pools allocation are too low on: March 17, 2018, 01:22:31 AM
The problem is that most people here have special facebook and special twitter account for bounty campaigns which means that this is not their personal account but just a fake account with no real life friends and followers. Their facebook friends and twitter followers are just other crypto investors who participate in similar campaigns and don't have time to read through all your posts so they rarely click them. And that's why these facebook and twitter campaigns have very small effect.
One solution would be that projects only accept real and personal Facebook and Twitter accounts which would bring more new investors to projects. But most of you guys wouldn't want that because you participate with fake un-personal profiles.
38  Other / Meta / Re: Suggestion for a better forum on: March 16, 2018, 10:52:51 PM
Why just not remove the possibility to rank up,
existing members keep their rank and all new members becomes newbies (forever).
BCT is about info/knowledges on bitcoin and cryptos, not merit and ranking up
What do you mean? Why would you remove ranking up? This is not fair to new members who write quality posts and contribute a lot to this forum.
Yes, purpose of bitcointalk is that people can learn about bitcoin and everything connected to blockchain, but ranking system also has it's own purpose. For example newbies can't set up avatar, if they could, then there would be too many new accounts which would just spam all threads to show of their avatar and advertise something with their picture. But people who write good posts deserve to have ability to set up avatar, even if they joined only recently. Your suggestion would be discrimination against them.
39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AIRDROP] GREEN MOVEMENT - Conducive Environment on the Blockchain on: March 16, 2018, 03:53:55 PM
What is the use case for GMV tokens?
Just an idea, instead of airdrops you could distribute tokens to people who do something good for the environment. Maybe 100 tokens for planting new tree in urban area or deforestated area. And so on
40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: All Alt Coins are a scam. on: March 16, 2018, 03:39:21 PM
He is hundred percent entitled to his own opinion. But he is not immuned from assuming wrongly. I make quick to say that his claim is a mere assumption and his assumption is likely to be misplaced. I don't believe his claim.
His claim is a click bait or should I say trolling/trying to trigger investors. But there is always some truth in such claims. I think he knows himself that there are at least few tens or close to 100 projects that will survive at least 5 years and calling them scam is not fair. But I think he's just trying to say that Bitcoin as a currency, is almost the only one that we need. Other cryptos don't offer nothing spectacular (except few exceptions like ethereum which offers smart contracts and few more). Also bitcoin is still developing and new features like Lightning Network fix it's weaknesses.
