It will be interesting to see what the new team will come up with.
I hope they are British?

Could someone with at least a senior account give me a brief overview of what happened to this coin over the last few days?
I went away for the weekend and can't be asked to read back a hundred pages of shill accounts talking trash to each other.
I noticed Bob and his crew were hard at it before I went, I said to myself I would hold no matter what FUD was thrown out, last time I fell victim to bob tactics on librex coin, I sold 140k coins that I mined @ 2k, a week or so later it was pumped up to 15K, I lost a bit on that one, there is no way I was going to fall for that again.

I think people need to know some more details around xmarket and roughly when they can see something.
Agreed, some info would be nice. Also is there any info about your anon?

I see we've mined just over 3M coins so far How long till PoW finishes, end of the year? Still one month and a bit more left to end pow i think with 2 mins block time Just my rough calculation without calculator bro It should be a happy new year when PoW ends, there will nothing to hold the price down then

Looking at stealth addresses and stealth.cpp and stealth.h of Shadowcoin and the main change would be that of the acceptance of longer addresses.
Up from the 32 character length of a Sterlingcoin address to 128 characters of a stealth address.
This would obviously change information on the blockchain and could cause potential issues i.e. a fork or other such blockchain related issue.
There are multiple reasons why we believe stealth addresses to not be a viable option to incorporate to the Sterlingcoin codebase.
We will be holding a Google+ Hangout with anyone who wishes to join us (we will set a date) and we will explain why ToR and stealth addresses in general are pointless for most users.
Especially those users running Windows or those without basic knowledge about how to keep yourself as anonymous as possible to begin with when using the net.
i.e. those running ToR at home on a Windows computer.
(Why can't people just mix their addresses using coin control like a normal person :p)
^^^The last sentance is jovial^^^
EDIT: The Google+ Hangout is only an option if people wish this to happen, however if the majority agrees that stealth is really not needed for Sterlingcoin then we will simply leave it at that.
If it's not too much trouble to install stealth and tor then I say go for it, it would be nice to have some extra privacy options if needed. You would also run the risk of looking a dodgy, so that needs to be taken into consideration.

I dare you to sell at 185 this coin deserves better shelter! http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0085334/quotesFlick: Are you kidding? Stick my tongue to that stupid pole? That's dumb! Schwartz: That's 'cause you know it'll stick! Flick: You're full of it! Schwartz: Oh yeah? Flick: Yeah! Schwartz: Well I double-DOG-dare ya! Ralphie as Adult: [narrating] NOW it was serious. A double-dog-dare. What else was there but a "triple dare you"? And then, the coup de grace of all dares, the sinister triple-dog-dare. Schwartz: I TRIPLE-dog-dare ya! Ralphie as Adult: [narrating] Schwartz created a slight breach of etiquette by skipping the triple dare and going right for the throat! https://twitter.com/streamuse1/status/540897246460792832Ha, I remember that film when I was a child, thanks for the memory

Yeah William spoke to me and he has spent a lot of time, money and love on the project and feels he has taken it as far as he can on his own and wants to see Britcoin continue to go from strength to strength. If this means him passing the reigns then that is what must happen. It's a shame that Brit has stalled, I hope someone does decide to take the project over (as I own 1% of it). It has a strong marketable name, I can see it doing well under the right team. dump them brits and buy slg I'd rather keep my Brits, if I did dump I’d get nothing a couple of pound I’ll wait and see if a new team takes over. I'm still buying SLG when I can, I bought some more today, I have 30K now, I need another 10K to get me to my target of 40K (1% of PoW) I'll see how my money is next week.

You beat me to it, was going to post here today to let everyone know. There are 3 days remaining so it's enough time not to spook new buyers and give the community enough time to bid. As the link mentions I'm looking for someone to take this project forward, as you guys know I haven't been able to move things along fast enough, due to no longer being able to work on this project full time and a severe lack of funds. The reason for the auction rather than letting this become a community project (apart from the fact I don't know anyone personally who would be suitable) is because in my experience the person/people who will take BritCoin forward will need at least some capital, otherwise things will not progress. As I mention, I will still be part of the community and will do what I can to further the cause an still think this will be a success, but I'm stepping aside and letting someone else take the lea. I know things will be better in the long term if this happens. View the auction hereI hope you all understand why this is for the best interest of Brit, the coin is going in a new direction and I honestly believe it will be better off for it. Means the project has stalled I say it's a good thing, I hope there will be some interest. Brit has a strong marketable name, it's what drew me to the coin in the first place. Thanks Leigh, there has been some interest from a few people and as I've said I will still be involved with BritCoin when I can, but handing over the reigns to someone new who I'm sure will push this project forward will be beneficial for everyone. BritCoin will progress and the best days are still ahead of us. I think you've made the right choice regarding the future of brit. Glad you'll still be involved somehow. I'll still continue to stake my coins So what exactly are you selling? Britcoin.io?

Seems like a lot of people are arguing about potential price, prices that have been and prices that they think it is meant to be. If we don't even know what price it is "meant to be" then how in the hell do you guys work that out? We would love to know Also if someone is manipulating the market we believe they would be doing it with more than less than a Bitcoin We agree that we are sat alongside Guldencoin and in fact talk closely with Rijk and Geert from Guldencoin and keep each other up to date with each others progress. In terms of Stealth Addresses and ToR, we will look at the options, possibility and viability of adding one or both of these features. I agree that we're up there with Gulden coin, it's just they have several hundred times more coins that SLG, so I would have to disagree with limbaugh when he said we should be trading at 700 sat, I seriously doubt we will even get close to 1000 sat again with only a few weeks left on PoW. As for what the price should be? All I know this coin is severely undervalued, I guess the markets will decide.

Looks like SLG has a troll on the loose. Must not like the price raising one bit, and wants to troll the price down so he/she can grab up some more super cheap SLG.
That's what I thought. I'd say SLG is a firm second with the country coins, right behind NLG, it has several merchants already, a solid dev team and a bright future, as long as the dev team keep doing what they are doing this coin will do well. I want cheap coins to. So if somebody can talk the prices down that is not an problem. But 90% of my friends are asian so I bite when I come near racism. And he was not discussing, just throwing three similare msg. And he did not think that the devs have done a good work because he compared it with coins that have not shown the same progress. This coin are still in POW phase so there is a sell pressure which means prices goes down. This is a spendable coin and I dont care if the value is 10 or 1 000 000 satoshi, but I think the devs have done a very good job and deserves the benefits of some support from me. I find it best to be thick skinned when it comes to racists, just ignore them, don't give them the time of day. My Grandmother used to say: "sticks and stones will break my bones but words will never harm you".

Will we eventually be able to send slg anon if we choose to?
Such as Tor integration or stealth addresses? Stealth addresses would be cool.
