as i said i cannot claim that vtorrent client is responsible for theft but it was the last i was doing on my pc
i unlocked client for staking only i couple hours later coins are gone
before that i did not downloaded or install anything from web for the last 3 weeks
and teamviewer was installed but not running
when i wakeup i saw that somebody did using teamviewer
i posted warning about theft but you didnt response anything till now:
Fibre was dumped on beta.bittrex.com same day and for vtorrent i didnt check
i still have original vtorrent clien that i downloaded fromt the link above and i can uploaded
Denis, guys, I think I am not the only one who noticed the links were modified in the reply of the user "djemphol"..? For example instead of original " https://github.com/vtorrent/vTorrent-Client/releases/download/0.7.2b/vTorrent-Client-Win.zip" in Dev's post ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=889481.msg11073317#msg11073317) there is " http://ge.tt/api/1/files/6hVp1OE2/0/blob?download" in the modified post ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=889481.msg11074711#msg11074711), which could obviously contain virus! I have checked both wallets using virustotal.com, and indeed they differ!! The wallet from the Dev is 100% clean (detection rate 0 / 57), while the wallet from the link of "djemphol" is modified, and it had detection rate of 3 / 57, with three antiviruses reporting malicious application: ESET-NOD32 a variant of MSIL/Injector.JCU 20150420

I don't state that for sure, but he modified the links and inserted virus there! I am shocked and disgusted - user with activity 94 and still very active on forum, is a simple thief..? Disgusting. Probably someone should report him to admins (I don't know whom to contact on this). @vTorrent: thats the reason why there is a rule - never publish links to wallets outside the OP!! I would suggest everyone (including Denis) to remove the malicious links from their replies!! Thanks to finding solutions. I will delete my posts. I cant catch fucker that stole my coins but atleast everyone else will be safe. I downloaded vtorrent from FAKE link i thats how i was hacked. @vtorrent i expect from you that in the future delete any posts related to downloading any wallet except from you. If I were you I'd re install my OS, as I couldn't trust it. Post an address i'll send you some coins, for every scumbag con artist there are 100 decent people. |

BTC devs are the ones who junked the makefile, they left out the jsonb *.cppn files from the build process. I'll give them a pull request to sort things out. So now i am just touching up the basic Ui then we can have a sample version out in an hour or two. As you can see there is still some work to be done, but overally we are an inch away from making the 31st deadline. Didn't take you long to figure out, well done dev. |
