Would it be possible to update coinmarketcap with the correct coin amount?
Thanks.

After countless hours of debugging and coding, I am happy to announce that our client is now bug-free with lots of new features.
I will update again with more details soon.
Thank you all for your support,
vTorrent
You got rid of the bug that locked people out of their wallet? Good work if you did.

I bought more kobo today due to the fact that the Dev is active and knows what he is doing, as I said before this coin will do well due to the fact that Dev keeps the community updated

Finally an updated OP showing where we stand now after the loads of shit we have gone through. Its going to be a lot of fun watching this coin completely redeem itself. 1+ for sticking around and giving everything, how can this coin then not redeem itself Keep up the good job. This will go past the IPO price quite easily

A little bird told me that a new Dev has taken over, hopefully there will be an anouncement soon.
Really? This is excellent news! Yes it is excellent news, Will7iam mailed me last week and said he transfered everything over to the new Dev. Brit is to good to let die. Shouldn't be too long before the announcement. Why hasn't the Dev said anything? It would boost investor confidence to atleast know he exists. Just a quick update, Will7am mailed me and said the the new Brit Dev would be making an announcement this week It's time to HODL!!!!!I am still holding some BRIT. Hope 'this week' will not be too long to wait. We've bag held this long, so a little longer won't hurt https://twitter.com/BritCoinUK/status/570841948153454592I am holding around 60k BRIT. I have been holding for practically a year now. This is exciting news! It is very good news, I love the potential of the Britcoin brand, it could be huge if done correctly. I bag held 100k also, I even bought more when I found out that Brit's about to be relaunched. I hope the new dev will make an announcement soon

UPDATE:
I haven't had much time this weekend but I've been able to take a look at 3 PoS wallets.
1. Peercoin - Uses nodes to aid connection speed (stable, not true staking, but allows use by PoS coins) 2. Librexcoin - True staking wallet (but had problems in use) 3. Blackcoin - Decentralized - They use Coinomi officially so I'm not sure what's happening there.
The best match would be a mix of 2 and 3.
For now, the Peercoin offering is the best to go forward with. I'm going to speak to a team of developers I've used before to see if they can get up to speed and come up with something (a mix of 2/3). It sounds like a lot to ask, but I'll ask anyway. They've done it before.
I've compiled and installed the Android wallet for Peercoin. Librexcoin is not available, and the Blackcoin wallet has a serious compile issue (I'm happy to be corrected here).
So the next thing is to get an ABE explorer built and start building the Kobocoin wallet to the Peercoin specs. Matthew, who wrote the code, has said if I'm not done in a month he might help me out, so fingers crossed that he's not needed.
There's already a VPS in place so I can get started on it later today.
I'll let you know how I get on.
You just keep beavering away at the code, this coin will do well.

The title should be renamed to: "the 3 problems with Bill Gates" 1: He's tampering with the vaccines, there's been loads of reports that his foundation have been going to third world countries vaccinating unsuspecting population with his poison, they often end up sterilized, paralysed or even dead, 2: He has patents on geo engineering, specificity atmospheric aerosol spraying technologies. I'm so tired of looking up at the sky and seeing the weather manipulation going on. 3: He is the chief shareholder of Monsanto and McDonalds, Monsanto are one of worst corporations in the history of the planet, and their objective is to completely genetically modify ALL our food chain. Also good old Bill has acquired the Epicyte gene, made rats sterile after 3 generations. So enjoy that Big Mac , mmmm I'm loving it! The list of crimes against humanity is long with Gates, I just choose the first three that came into my head. Please research this man and his agenda specificity with regards to population control. Should I take financial advice from this person? Fuck no!

UPDATE:
The kobocoinj software was configured and running today, but unfortunately the core bitcoinj does not work with PoS. So that has to be shelved. And the existing wallet also has to be shelved.
There's a peercoin implementation of a PoS wallet and a modified bitcoinj that I'll take a look at tomorrow. They're both available on github. It's a clone of the same Schildbach wallet, so working with it shouldn't be too different.
I'll let you know how I get on.
Librex coin also has a mobile wallet that stakes.

Android wallet update:The packager installer works OK install install menu'd in the app (on bitcoin testnet hence the mBTC and currency being striked out) I'm using the bitcoin test network until kobocoinj is up and running and then I'll point the app at the kobocoin blockchain (after testing). I like scanning QR codes, even when I know it's wrong! And finally ... the kobocoin signature! Next step is to get kobocoinj up and running. But not now. I'm going to get some rest and spend some time with my daughters (when they wake up!) Good work Dev, keep it up

Yikes, another dev who can't code
His coding skills are better than mine, he's done really well so far, let's see what he can do, he looks like he knows what he's doing.

Anyone who knows how to use the android sdk and compile in maven can the see the wallet as it progresses - https://github.com/kobocoin/kobocoin-wallet. At this moment it's just the bitcoin-wallet fork (so if you clone it you're just cloning a bitcoin wallet). Once the repository is updated, all that's needed for anyone else to compile the Android wallet (once you've cloned it) is the following commands: cd kobocoin-wallet git fetch origin git checkout origin/prod mvn clean install It will build the apk file for your phone. At that point I email it to myself and install it. I've use the emulators but I prefer to see it on a working phone. I'll be updating the repository a few times over the weekend. Do your thing, I have every faith.

Hi Everyone Bad news I'm afraid. The developer who was building the Android wallet is no longer available. There's not much I can do about it. I'm in the process of speaking to another developer about getting one out ASAP. I can imagine this news is a bit deflating, but it is what it is. It will be dealt with. It's just another hurdle. On a positive note, one of the reasons I paid for a coin and wallets to be developed was because I wasn't sure of the process and didn't want to make a mistake with the code. I'm clued up now on those points. I've now learnt how to launch a coin (or learnt what it actually means when you say "launch a coin"). I've been learning the code, and though I don't understand the cryptography, I now understand the code itself, how it works, how it's put together, and why it was put together in that way (and why the lib errors when compiling). It's complex, but understandable. I've learnt how to modify the wallet UI and functionality using the default desktop wallet as a base template. I was waiting to get my hands on the Android wallet to get stuck into that code. I have the Android SDK ready and waiting. We're aiming to make the Kobocoin Android wallet feature rich. The initial Android wallet released will just be the base template (as with the desktop wallet). And as with the desktop wallet, a new version will be released soon afterwards with the kobocoin stamp on it. So, what's happening? 1. I'm fighting that good fight getting the windows wallet compiled and packaged. I don't just want it compiled. I want it packaged in a windows installer (creating shortcuts etc) with no need for a new user to have to edit the kobocoin.conf file. Feedback so far is that wallet installation issues are frustrating casual users (and members here as well). The last thing needed is people uninstalling the wallet through frustration. 2. I'm speaking to another developer about the Android wallet. I was initially going to use the following wallet as a template and build one myself, but kobocoin is PoS and this has to be taken into account. Here's the wallet I was going to fork: Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.schildbach.wallet&hl=en_GBGithub: https://github.com/schildbach/bitcoin-walletIf kobocoin wasn't PoS, the Android wallet might have been available some time ago. So, new forward plan 1. Get the new desktop wallets (with QR enabled and packaged in an installer for windows) built and released. Even without the Android wallet, this will be a positive step forward. 2. Continue getting kobocoin onto as many services as possible e.g https://www.cryptonator.com/rates/KOBO-BTC/. We're also talking to other service providers to get KOBO onto as many platforms as possible. In so many ways, we're a lot further forward than we should be at this point. I don't want that momentum to stop and have people lose interest, but sometimes these things happen. All I can do is try to minimize the impact of it. It will be resolved, and hopefully a lot sooner than this post suggests. ANDROOOOID!!!!!Sometimes things don't work out as planned, it's okay you seem to know what your doing, the android wallet will come I'm going to hold my coins, at the current price, it's a no brainer. Will you update the OP and add that the PoW coin supply is 24M

Have any of you thought about maybe in the future teaming up with one of the mesh networking projects? eg. https://www.reddit.com/r/darknetplan/comments/2wvta0/we_have_teamed_up_to_bring_you_the_first_consumer/Something like this, and kobo would seem to be a good match - mesh networking and wallet as part of one (android) appliance? I appreciate there are more immediate concerns, just wanted to air the idea. Haven't read through the whole thread yet, apologies if it's been mentioned before. Anyway, promising project! well we are at the end of the checklist according to the DEV.... 1. Start CoinsSource verification process http://www.coinssource.com/trust-index-verification/ - Completed 2. Agree launch date and launch schedule. - Completed 4. Speak with exchanges about the possibility of listings for launch. - Completed 5. Kobocoin code (github), Block Explorer, Linux wallet, Windows wallet, OSX (Mac) wallet (Android/iOS if possible) to be available at launch. - Completed (Android not yet delivered) 6. Launch Kobocoin (PoW mining begins) - Completed 6. Android/iOS wallets to be ready for PoS (if not available at PoW launch). so its safe to assume we can expect the android/ ios wallet any day now. Perfect time for additions Smart phone apps are a must for the people of west Africa to adopt this system.

What I see in the source code is currently no transaction can exceed the total supply of 350,000,000 possible coins. I didn't really dig deeper and see how staking would continue after that or if it counted the total volume of coins in adding interest to the staked coins. The whole point of this was to show the confusion for people looking at that first post and thinking this coin had a lot of coins out there. My main point was max coins after POW could be listed. Also If there was a visual chart of now total possible coins each year, people would see what great shape it's in currently.
If you believe in this coin, just don't hold them, buy them up while they are cheap!
what would you say, roughly, would be the total possible coins per year? Upto 10%
