501  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / [OFFICIAL] AllCrypt.com - Your CryptoCurrency Exchange on: March 29, 2014, 05:19:05 PM
We had a few requests for a bitcointalk official thread, so this is here to start it. I'll update this OP lateron today once I had some time (we're implementing some new security features this weekend, and that sort of comes first), but we'll be sure to post all updates here, and TRY to read this as much as we can to deal with issues that arise.

As always, the BEST way to contact us about an issue is to use the support system at http://support.allcrypt.com

The blog, where all news is posted: http://www.allcrypt.com/blog

Our t-shirt slogan contest (Win .1 BTC if your entry is chosen - ending tomorrow, Sunday, March 30): https://www.allcrypt.com/blog/2014/03/allcrypt-t-shirt-slogan-contest-win-btc/

502  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] DIMEcoin l community take over l updated everyday on: March 29, 2014, 05:15:00 PM
Trying to add Dime to AllCrypt.com - cant get connections. I start the wallet, we get one then it drops. Even using the latest posted nodes.

Compiled from a git source.

Is there some issue we should be aware of?

Yes, version 1.4.0 was never added to github by the old dev. The outdated version has to be connected manually. I could never figure out why the linux clients had so much trouble. Now I get it. Make sure that you have the port listed with the node in the .conf (dime.mine-pool.net:11931) Try manually adding nodes to the wallet using the addnode command in the debug console. This can usually jumpstart the connection process. BTW here is another working node that is not listed.

dime.ext-pool.net:11931

If this doesnt help, email me at noahdement1@gmail.com and we will get this worked out

The ext-pool.net node did it for me.

Wallet is syncing now - once it's caught up (whats the latest block?) Dime will be online on AllCrypt.com

505  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Official BlackCoin statement from CryptoRush - Very shocking information on: March 29, 2014, 03:29:35 AM
Coming late to this party but I finally saw the OP.

Um.

Why are you relying on the wallet's code for accounting? Every single wallet works differently. I was running auditing today, because OUR INTERNAL ACCOUNTING did not match some wallet balances.

POPcoin? The move command worked sometimes, and not others. One wallet was short 5 satoshi. I went to fix it, and nothing happened. Four times.

FedoraCoin? The internal accounting is COMPLETELY borked. It doesnt work at all. We had withdrawals fail because the user had 10k fedora, and the wallet said 3600. We checked internal accounting - yeah - they had 10k. Why did the wallet say 3600? They DEPOSITED 4400. They bought about 5k. They withdrew 3k. And the final balance? 3600. WTF? Internal accounting matched up. FedoraCoin wallet accounting? Completely FUBAR.

And, Blackcoin... well... thats a whole 'nother story.

Referencing the wallet accounting? Sure. For the coins that work it's a good doublecheck. RELYING on it and USING it as the ONLY method of accounting?

Wow. Just wow.

506  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: AllCrypt.com t-shirt slogan design contest! Win .1 BTC! on: March 29, 2014, 02:40:47 AM
We added a little amendment to the contest - we are looking for FUNNY slogans or those laced with innuendo.

"We trade bitcoin" and "We're a good exchange", while true, don't turn heads when seen on a shirt Smiley

So far the entries have been 99% slogans we're not looking for, so if you have a great idea, send it in!

Another rule amendment: If they all suck, we're not picking a winner just because. There has to be an actual entry we WILL use on the shirts Smiley
507  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BETA][EXCHANGE][REALTIME] CoinEX realtime exchange on: March 29, 2014, 12:27:27 AM
My concern with it is there were NO details as to what happened, and, consequently, NO information as to the plan to stop it from happening again.
508  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BETA][EXCHANGE][REALTIME] CoinEX realtime exchange on: March 28, 2014, 03:29:21 AM
Why is money so important to you anyway erundook?  Everytime I have a lot of money I just feel empty inside...... you do nothing but cause more hatred and stress in the world which isn't needed.  You are the shit stain of society that makes people even more tormented than they already are.

Ok. Now it's time to calm down a little. You're crossing over into crazytown just a lilbit. Smiley

About time some intelligence entered this thread.

Hey! Don't worry! He said he's working on it about a week ago. What reason do you have to distrust him?!

Discuss.
511  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / AllCrypt.com t-shirt slogan design contest! Win .1 BTC! on: March 27, 2014, 07:41:49 PM
From the AllCrypt.com Blog: https://www.allcrypt.com/blog/2014/03/allcrypt-t-shirt-slogan-contest-win-btc/

AllCrypt.com is attending the CryptoCurrency Convention (@CryptoEvents) in NYC on April 9th, and we’re coming with piles of swag. We’re doing t-shirts and we’ve been kicking around a few ideas for a slogan. “Already Hacked” is near the top of the list, as are a few others not suitable for children. And we thought you guys would have better ideas than us!

So, here’s the deal – we’re not sure when we’re closing the contest… no later than Sunday the 30th though, as we need to get these made in time for the show.

Submit ideas using the support system (https://allcrypt.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new) – you can post them here but we may not see them (and then others can steal your idea!)

Sometime between now and Sunday night we’ll pick a winner. Winner will get .1 BTC and if they want to share their address, we’ll send a shirt and some other swag as well. Include your BTC address in the submission, and if you want the shirt and other stuff, your regular address as well (or wait for us to contact you if you’re not comfortable with that).

Term and Legal junk:

Contest Guidelines
• No real limits or guidelines for content. Words/slogan only. We’re open to (and hoping for) something risque or laden with innuendo, but anything crass or offensive won’t ever win, so, don’t waste your time.
• The slogan must be your own original, unpublished work and must not include any copyrighted material. By entering the competition, you agree that your submission is your own work.

Submitting an Entry
• Submit a support ticket to https://allcrypt.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new. Entries posted elsewhere might not be seen.
• Submissions will be accepted through either Sunday, March 30th at 11:59PM EDT, or until we see something we love so much we don’t care about further entries.

The Fine Print
• Enter as many times as you want.
• Submissions will be screened by AllCrypt.com staff and chosen based on what we like best.
• By submitting your design, you grant all ownership of the slogan to AllCrypt.com for it’s exclusive use.
• The winning slogan will be announced on Monday, March 31st.  The creator of the winning design will win .1 BTC (approx $50 USD Value) as well as a shirt and any other swag we feel like including.
512  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Gridcoin (GRC) - first coin utilizing BOINC - Official Thread on: March 27, 2014, 06:58:48 PM
If you have an existing peers.dat file delete it, i had same issues on my rigs they would not sync unless the peers.dat file was deleted.

Oh thats been done about 20x also Wink

I truly think its because this is a windows coin and the linux source is so neglected. The funky hoops you need to jump to even compile it says a ton.
513  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Gridcoin (GRC) - first coin utilizing BOINC - Official Thread on: March 27, 2014, 06:37:41 PM
Current windows version is v2.1.0.7

C-cex and Poloniex are working fine.

Add that to gridcoin.conf and it should synch up, mine is working perfectly fine.

addnode=www.pgp.mx

I don't know what the story is on the linux version as I do not use that.

Ok, so unless something gets fixed we're going to have to de-list Gridcoin from AllCrypt.com

I was told the wallet was fixed and the RPC commands restored. So I installed it. Showing a wallet balance of zero - was told maybe it got corrupted. I havent even attempted to fix THAT issue, because I've had zero connections for over a week now.

So I ask what the current version is, and no answer.

So I download and install the windows version and see THAT version is NOT the version on Github. So the wallet everyone is using is not only NOT public, but exchanges are stuck on an out of date wallet, that as far as I can tell, doesn't even sync with the network.

No coin should be worth this amount of work just to get on the exchange.

We need this fixed, ASAP, or we're going to have to drop Gridcoin. I've personally wasted way too many hours on it.

Tried that node and every other node. Sits at 0 connections. The linux version is behind 2.1.0.7. Poloniex and the other exchange may well be using the windows wallets. God knows why if they are. I'd ask but I'm not quite sure they'd be helpful Wink

Cant hurt.

Whats the most current version?
517  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Gridcoin (GRC) - first coin utilizing BOINC - Official Thread on: March 27, 2014, 04:07:29 AM
I still can't get any connections, just a heads up.
This are working for me right now

Quote
76.187.184.27:32760

72.92.48.105:32760

99.225.220.157:32760

98.115.11.194:32760

101.87.139.5:32760

I tried the node in the post above, and the nodes I just quoted. I briefly had 1 connection, but then it dropped.

Is there some special requirement for gridcoin that the other 70+ coins on AllCrypt.com do not need?
518  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BETA][EXCHANGE][REALTIME] CoinEX realtime exchange on: March 27, 2014, 04:04:50 AM
You know that special extra key you need to enter if you registered to 2 tier security so that if someone gets your account they still shouldn't have the info to get the funds out of your account. That uses an authenticator like authy to make the code to present when needed.

Is there a different word for it in bitcoin?

It's called two-factor authentication commonly mentioned as 2FA.

Aah. Yeah, if you enable 2FA on your AllCrypt.com account you need to enter it to withdraw funds. Nearly impossible for hackers to bypass.
519  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BETA][EXCHANGE][REALTIME] CoinEX realtime exchange on: March 26, 2014, 07:18:29 PM
You lost me on that last paragraph. The authenticators option?
520  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [eToken] Rare | Website 11 languages | New version -> mandatory update on: March 26, 2014, 05:47:45 PM
We have all three added as nodes and still 0 connections. Never seen this with a coin before. Does etoken do something different than most scrypt coins that we're missing?

We compiled from github. Is "version" : 90000, the right version?
