1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Orbitcoin v1.5.0.0 ~ NeoScrypt ~ Green Stake on: January 04, 2015, 05:11:24 AM
ORB is completely broken and will be removed from AllCrypt.com in 7 days time. We upgraded to 1.5 as requested. Since the moment we upgraded we have received no new blocks. Since the upgrade, we have:

* Restarted the wallet
* -rescan'ed the wallet
* -salvagewallet'ed the wallet
* Deleted the blockchain and resynced
* -rescan'ed after a new blockchain download
* And tonight, we re-downloaded the source from github, recompiled, and re-downloaded the blockchain.

And we still have no new blocks, and all coins we DID have have been withdrawn (unsuccessfully with 0 confirmations) and we are now missing coins.

We give up. It's broken.
2  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: C-cex scam exchange supports PFC dumps! Trade with an extreme caution! on: December 30, 2014, 06:45:14 PM
Sorry I didn't reply sooner - was out of town for a Christmas week off from school trip with my son yesterday, and I didn't want support staff posting this on my behalf.

I heard back from C-CEX in regards to my support ticket with them. No, I don't believe they were involved. So anyone harping about C-CEX being in on it also, please, don't ruin a site's reputation because of what you THINK. Use some facts first.

And to the guy who posted they are the same company, spreading made up crap like that is just as bad as what hashprofit did. Please, don't. Yesterday on the train I was reading bitcointalk and saw a post from someone regarding this saying that "Both C-CEX and Allcrypt are shady anyway" - and I wanted to reply and ask why. I don't know much about C-CEX. Running an exchange is a full time job. I don't have time to know the reputations of all the other exchanges out there.

But AllCrypt is shady? That just sucks. We've always went above and beyond to be transparent. Sure, we're understaffed. Our daily volume is public record. Our trade fees are public record. Do the math. We are nowhere near close in any sense to turning a profit. The little bit we made on PFC sales this past week (About 1.7 BTC if memory serves me right) is about 14% of the total we've made since we opened. Nearly a year ago. We can't afford to hire much staff, and most of the bills are paid for on my own personal credit card.

I say this not for pity or attention, but to emphasize the point that AllCrypt.com is a labor of love for me, personally. It kills me that we have a better exchange in terms of speed and features, but we're publicly called "shady", and we lose to other exchanges purely because they are bigger.

Anyway, I'm digressing. My point is posting baseless claims because you're mad is not cool. C-CEX very likely had bandwidth issues. AllCrypt had its biggest day ever topping 200 BTC total volume for 24 hours last week. C-CEX apparently topped 2,000. I don't know what our hardware would do under that sort of load. Truly. We've never hit it. And neither had they. So cut them some slack. Make accusations based off fact.

Now, as for PFC/hashprofit. I like playing crypto and cyber detective in my spare time. People have found and posted at least 2 of the PFC premine accounts, and the main one is easy enough to find. Look at Blocks 1 and 2.

Anyone who was paid out by hashprofit: Put your txid in blockchain.info... and go back. See if you find anything interesting. See if you find accounts with massive piles of BTC that you were paid from. See if you find accounts that took in massive withdrawals (30, 50, 100 BTC) where it was funded by 50, 80, 120 input addresses. Who has 120 input addresses with coins in them?

Exchanges do.

Check your accounts at AllCrypt and C-CEX. See if YOUR BTC address is in those lists. If it is - you know that TX was a payout from that exchange.

Which would confirm the PFC devs were selling tons of something - it could well be that it was coins that were SmartMined - they said they mined altcoins, sold for BTC, then paid out BTC. But 100 BTC a day? Likely not. And withdrawing it. And paying you with those proceeds.

I truly have no proof of anything, and if I did, honestly, I couldn't say. Its not my job as an exchange operator to pass judgement on what coin devs do. I know some will think me a heartless asshole for saying that, but I truly believe in personal choice and freedom, and wholeheartedly stand against someone else telling me what I can and cannot do - even if it's something stupid that will cost me money.

So no, we would not reveal info if we had it (Seriously, hand to god (or whatever you raise your hand to), I have no real concrete knowledge of anything, just hunches and hints). It would tarnish the integrity we try and maintain (regardless of a personal view that NOT saying something shows "no integrity". We mean our integrity as an exchange, to protect the identity of coin dev and coin trader alike, if they so choose).

That being said, I have zero problem pointing out public, well known facts that people who, if they stopped to think for a moment, should have figured out already, or not viewed through cash-colored glasses ("I know it looks 120% like a scam, but it MAY come back up on Jan 5th like they said... *fingers crossed*")

Poke around block explorers. See what you find. Make your own decision.
3  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: C-cex scam exchange supports PFC dumps! Trade with an extreme caution! on: December 29, 2014, 12:15:52 AM
Ed from AllCrypt.com here. I've opened a support ticket with C-CEX requesting they contact us so we can discuss the situation. I'd like to believe that C-CEX was merely experiencing traffic issues from the unprecedented surge in traffic to the site.

Being lead dev I have access to all logs and info, and while it's not our place to decide whats a scam and what is not, nor is it our job to put a stop to such activity*, I do believe that people should be allowed to freely make their own choices regarding such things. If it's true (and again, I do not believe it is) that C-CEX had any involvement, well, that's deplorable, but I'd like them to be able to voice their side of things.

And I'd like to personally speak to the dev and compare notes. Our site has experienced odd activity that may well have an unrelated or "legitimate" reason, (or be completely related) and I'd like to get to the bottom of it.

So, C-CEX guys - respond to my support ticket and let's chat. Hoping a public call to action will speed an answer.

Ed
AllCrypt.com Lead Dev

* Regarding an exchange's role, we're here to provide a service, not pass judgement. I'm a libertarian at heart, and I think people should have access to the tools they choose to use. *IF* a coin is a scam and you choose to invest, it is not our role to diaper you and protect you from your own stupidity or poor judgement. Also, it is not our role or responsibility to try and judge what is and is not a valid coin. That's for you to decide. That all being said - price fixing, colluding, and cheating by an exchange are all reprehensible. We just wanted to make our position clear.

5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [FIND] FindYou Coin - Faucet Distribution on: December 03, 2014, 08:35:47 PM
FindYouCoin has just been added to AllCrypt.com! The coin is live and available right now, although the blockchain might still be downloading - if so, deposits and deposit address generation will not be available until the blockchain is complete.

We have (or will very soon) post an announcement on Twitter as well. Follow us on twitter (@all_crypt or https://twitter.com/All_Crypt) to help spread the word and keep abreast of site news and updates.

We'd appreciate being listed as an active exchange in the OP of the this thread. If you'd like a high quality PNG logo to use, a zip is available at: http://www.allcrypt.com/aclogopack.zip

Important note: It sucks for everyone when there is a fork, or a version upgrade, and we don't get notified. Sometimes developers just tweet that there is an upgrade. We're busy running the site - very often we miss tweets - we get a lot every day! If there is an emergency upgrade, a hard fork coming in less than a week, a major issue that requires an immediate upgrade, if it's tweeted at us we may not see it. The only truly RELIABLE way to ensure we know about a mandatory upgrade is to submit a support ticket. Just have someone hop by http://support.allcrypt.com and let us know. We see those all the time, including on the dev staff's mobile devices.

If for some reason your github source changes (community takeover for example) PLEASE let us know that in the ticket. Our system is highly automated, and if you issue a new source code under a new git address, we won't know unless thats provided - our system will check the old address for the new version. Since we save it, you only need to worry about it if the github location changes. In all other cases, just letting us know we need to upgrade is enough!

I think that covers it! Thanks for your support of AllCrypt and we're proud to support you in return!

8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [MAL] MalibuCoin on: November 24, 2014, 12:51:05 AM
When will be better exchange?

I hope it will be bittrex - best exchange for altcoins at this moment.

Curious - why is it "the best"? And volume doesn't count. I'm of the opinion that the only reason Bittrex is big is that Bittrex is big. Sort of a chicken and the egg issue. While AllCrypt isn't pretty (we're working on a total visual overhaul) we outperform bittrex in speed of deposits (use after one confirmation), withdrawals (instant with no delay - barring a wallet issue like we had with the MAL fork), transparency (all wallet status can be see on the balances page, soon to be upgraded to include a ton of useful info), and trade speed and fees.

We host almost all the same coins they do.

So, other than "because they are bigger" - why is Bittrex "better"?

Thats not snide or sarcastic, we're always trying to improve the exchange. Just curious. From everything I've seen to date though, Bittrex is "better" because they are big. I've seen, time and again, AllCrypt host a coin that explodes, and although there is massive volume, as soon as Bittrex puts the coin up, everyone moves everything there, even though AllCrypt is faster, with lower fees, and has handled the coin great since day 1.

Sorry for the sideline. Just feel the need to ask whenever I see someone say "a better exchange".
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [MAL] MalibuCoin on: November 23, 2014, 12:47:44 AM
Hey Devs - need an answer to a question.

About 4k MAL went missing from our wallet when we did the upgrade. I have TXIDs in our wallet that have -1 confirmations, where, previously, they confirmed correctly.

Can we get an explanation as to what happened, and if there is any assistance, because these coins have already been traded, and someone is going to want them back.

Immediately removing this coin from AllCrypt.com. We have wallet problems that needs dev help, and I see the coin is clearly garbage and a scam.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [HUGE]BIGcoin on: November 16, 2014, 06:19:04 PM
Any user that has HardForkCoin (HFC) deposited on AllCrypt - you have 2 days to withdraw it or your coins will be lost. We were just notified we have 2 days to not only upgrade the code, but to rename the coin, change the symbol, change the data directory, re-download the blockchain, and completely revamp our database to accommodate it.

Two days is nowhere near enough time to get all that done for a coin that's been hosted on AllCrypt for almost 3 weeks with absolutely zero trade volume or interest.

A total removal of all HFC, and then just adding BIGCoin as a new coin is infinitely less work and does not put our dev team under pressure to get all this work done with next to no notice.

Tried to add ZeroVert to AllCrypt.com but without a proper gthub repository, unfortunately, we can't do it.
