1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Please, I urge you to buy bitcoin! on: April 25, 2024, 01:39:03 AM
Bitcoin is freedom guys!

Twenty One Million whole parts to freedom, with billions of people on this One planet...

What are you waiting for  Huh

Fun fact: That piece of paper is up for auction I think!
With what is happening in the government monetary system and how the fiat currency is automatically losing its value every year I don't think it's even nice to urge anyone to buy Bitcoin cause only the dumb person won't buy Bitcoin in the first place. If the Banking institutions and giant investment organizations are not buying Bitcoin through ETF anyone in his right mind will know there's something about BTC that makes Banks, BlackRock, and Fidelity invest in it.

2  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Be careful about some messages to your DM on: April 09, 2024, 04:50:35 PM
Based on the message posted by the user accused, CryptoPotato is indeed a well-known crypto news platform but there's a chance that you're right about your accusation toward the user in the subject since he/she never comes out to clear the air.

I'm sure if you use and make some changes to beginner DMs, you won't receive messages from beginners anymore, I'm sure this feature is useful for you and anyone who is annoyed by unknown messages.
Yes, you're right but the accused user is a full member user and the only he won't receive a message from the user is probably by adding him to his ignore list.
3  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I own Bitcoin from 2009/2010 I know my seed phrase I need help loging in pls hlp on: April 09, 2024, 04:27:20 PM
In 2009/2010 was it possible to create your own seed phrase ?

The seed phrase you said you have from your 2009/2010 is enough for you to access the old wallet. Do you by any chance know the wallet you used back then maybe it is old blockchain.info?
Check https://github.com/blockchain/unused-My-Wallet/blob/master/mnemonic_words_v3.html to see if those seed phrase words belong to it.
I don't know how developed the system was then but it's possible to create your seed phrase if you follow the right procedure.

Discover a game-changing opportunity in neobanking. Check out our pitch deck now! And consider an exclusive limited-time offer inside.

http://tinyurl.com/yczk4kup

First, you said the fintech name was Web3 NeoBank but after looking at the PDF file you added what I see is Nostro Bank.
Second, this is the year 2024 and according to my research, Neo Bank is one of the old projects that was created to treat cryptocurrency the exact way the institutional banks operated. Why would anyone ignore the freedom and liberation they are getting through the decentralized project and choose centralized of course only newbie crypto investors will do that.
8  Other / Meta / Re: What is the policy regarding AI generated images on the forum? on: April 06, 2024, 03:57:45 PM
Lately I've been generating images with AI on a private level and for entertainment. It has occurred to me that at some point I might add some to a post but I would like to be clear that I am not breaking any rules. In any case it would be as an addition to what I write and making clear that it is an image generated with AI.
The last time I checked th forum didn't have a policy about AI-generated images while there's a policy for AI-generated content to prevent plagiarism and voxxing.
Therefore, if the AI-generated image is not used for a contest where it's forbidden to use I don't see you breaking any rules.
9  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for April on: April 05, 2024, 11:31:05 PM
Bitcoin should have easily closed above $75K before now but the auction and selling of the illegal BTC acquired by the government and some negative news are what is causing the current bearish we're seeing in the market lately.
Nevertheless, it is just creating the chance of buying the dip before the major market break out which will be caused by the BTC halving.
10  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What's happening to kucoin? on: April 02, 2024, 09:40:05 PM
Just searched about KuCoin, and I'm seeing some disturbing news about their founders being charged by the Justice Department for violating some laws.

Does anyone know more about this? What implications could this have on the CEX, especially now that they're targeted in the US?

https://www.justice.gov/usao-sdny/pr/prominent-global-cryptocurrency-exchange-kucoin-and-two-its-founders-criminally
Don't be surprised since KuCoin is the leading CEX that supported privacy and the plan of the government/BlackRock, ever since the Bitcoin spot ETF was approved is to take down the top cryptocurrency exchange in the market so that their exchange or institutional banks can take over.
I believe this is just the beginning, I hope KuCoin won't be guilty of the accusation.

My deposit has been credited now. Thanks everyone for the help and reassurance that it would work out.
I just need to figure out how to get  the withdrawal done now
Happy to see that your deposit has been credited already and your issue has been fixed for now. Now, all you have to do is enjoy and hope you'll get some nice wins.
Despite the holidays, the fund issue case was treated within 5 days that's awesome, and hope the issue won't change the good impression he had about the casino cause I have never experienced such an issue in BC and the deposit is almost instant so is the withdrawal.
12  Other / Meta / Re: What do you think if Bitcointalk accepted videos? on: April 01, 2024, 08:34:09 PM
The idea of the forum supporting the addition of videos is a good one but there should be a certain restriction for newbies in using the features and the forum should prevent autoplay of the video and download which is so annoying whenever I use some online website.
Another one is to prevent the user from using the video features to send malicious attacks which could lead to lost of crypto.

14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Craig Wright Satoshi Claim Case Update on: March 31, 2024, 11:22:04 PM
Craig Wright was told to provide Wright with a clear explanation of all his assets as early as possible. The return date is Friday 12 April 2024, with the
provision of information due by 4 pm on Friday 5 April, and the Affidavit due by 4 pm on Wednesday 10 April.
by losing the case, he has to pay the lawyers costs of COPA, so they want to know his financial position (possibility of being paid £6.7m($8.5m))

12. Understandably, that gave rise to serious concerns on COPA’s part that Dr Wright was
implementing measures to seek to evade the costs consequences of his loss at trial.
I think he has already said he has millions because I saw in today's news headline that "U.K. court freezes £6M of Craig Wright’s assets amid Bitcoin creator claim"

Craig Wright was told to provide Wright with a clear explanation of all his assets as early as possible. The return date is Friday 12 April 2024, with the
provision of information due by 4 pm on Friday 5 April, and the Affidavit due by 4 pm on Wednesday 10 April.

Here is the full detailed pdf file.
I think in the end it will just be a waste of time with unnecessary talk.
From the beginning we already know that in the end Craig Wright is not Satoshi so why push too hard because in the end everything will remain the same where Satoshi cannot be claimed by anyone.
I'm actually not too interested in this kind of thing because I think it's just a way to get more sensation for some people including Craig Wright.

We don't need to waste time looking further into this because the result will still be the same where Craig Wright will not be able to become Satoshi no matter how hard he tries to force himself with his claim, it will just be nonsense.
Yes, we know Craig Wright is not Satoshi but what I don't understand is his real motive and the reason why he still has to lie under oath multiple times when he fully knows he can't win.
The question I always ask myself is that he's trying to be popular even though that's the fact there are ways to be popular rather than doing it dubiously.

15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Craig Wright Satoshi Claim Case Update on: March 29, 2024, 03:05:07 AM
In the High Court of Justice Business and Property of England and Wales yesterday COPA which is Crypto Open Patent Alliance the team formed by Square, Inc., Payward Ventures, Inc. (DBA Kraken), Microstrategy, Inc., and Coinbase, Inc.
Submitted a claim that Craig Wright lied and double-down on his lies, on a grand scale that he's Satoshi Nakamoto that he has given extensive and elaborate dishonest evidence under oath in multiple sets of proceedings, and also considers that he (Craig Wright) forged documents, plus changed his story several times.

Craig Wright was told to provide Wright with a clear explanation of all his assets as early as possible. The return date is Friday 12 April 2024, with the
provision of information due by 4 pm on Friday 5 April, and the Affidavit due by 4 pm on Wednesday 10 April.

16  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can I really hold onto my bitcoins in the future? on: March 28, 2024, 11:34:39 PM
Firstly, keeping money in the bank is never a good idea, the banks are making huge profits through your money and never giving dividends. Why don't you use your money to make money for yourself?
Second, you can't tell me you have fiat currency as savings and I will agree with you when the currency is losing value every day.

I don't know why I didn't sell Bitcoin when it reached its highest price.  Currently I am unemployed for three years after completing my studies. I am trying hard to find a job but luck is not helping me. I have two tuitions to support myself but it doesn't work like this, it has become very important for me to help my family. I don't know what to do now. Now the bitcoin market has increased a lot, should I sell my bitcoins?
Bitcoin hasn't increased yet buddy and the time you'll experience the increase in the price of BTC is when the block is halved.
I will advise you to hold onto your BTC which is a better investment now than the business you want to start which you cant big benefit from days after you start cause it will take some weeks before you start getting something from it.
After the block halving, you can sell some portion of the BTC and start the business.
17  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Closing in on 60k, Again! on: March 23, 2024, 10:02:00 PM
-snip-
We never know the exact prediction for the ATH that can be reached before or after the halving, the current market scenario has the potential to see a rise higher to reach the actual ATH and we will not know when it will be realized, but I am sure we will soon see a price of $100k for ATH next. However, the current market scenario is not very suitable for short-term trading strategies because the movement patterns in 2021 can occur at any time, so consider all aspects of market movements before investing at prices above 60k unless you decide for long-term investments, if the next correction occurs it will last 50k before the bull market is ready to set its next record ATH.
While some traders take advantage of short-term volatility to take profits, you say this is not the right time for short-term trading. Market patterns are difficult to predict, but some people who are truly capable of analyzing them manage to profit from price volatility. I agree that long term investment is better than trading, but not everyone agrees on this especially if they are a trader.

So far I don't think $100k can be reached before the halving, unless there is a huge influx of funds flooding the market ahead of the halving. Such a scenario is starting to become hard to hope for, so now it may be time to focus on the long term in the hope that $100k can be touched a few months after the halving.
The $100K  price can be reached before the halving and what we are seeing now in the market is the last market correction before another pre-halving bull happens. The major concept of the correction is to strengthen the market but that doesn't mean the correction is not good for short-term trading/investment it only depends on the trader's/investor's capacity about the market.
18  Economy / Economics / Re: Everything is over priced but people keep spending on: March 23, 2024, 09:39:18 PM
Debts have gotten so out of control that it's obvious the government is just going to keep riding that printing press.  The only way they know how to slow down inflation is to cause recessions and bankrupt people so they can't afford to buy anything, then bankrupt businesses who can't cut prices enough for people to buy.  Eventually things reset and the government has more control over the people and less control of the money supply.  The name of the game is to buy assets that will appreciate with inflation and make sure you can afford to hang on to them through recessions.  If you're really lucky you get some extra money stashed away so you can have some fun once in a while.  Make no mistake about it though, the government is going to keep causing recessions and inflating the currency until nobody can afford to own property.  Only those who have a sick addiction to buying stocks (and maybe Bitcoin if it continues to gain adoption) will be the ones who can maintain their standard of living.
This is a sad truth and I could remember how some people made huge profits during the total lockdown season while some people are bankrupt till now because they don't understand the rule of investing in assets that will shoot up during inflation, recession, etc.
The interesting part is that the government never agreed that they have less control of the money supply and choose not to follow the right procedure to control it which is to stop the printing of more fiat currency every year.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ways to Research a Token/Coin on: March 23, 2024, 09:01:06 PM
What criteria do you look for when you research a token/crypto?  And what tools do you use to do your investigation? Please provide as much details, examples, walk throughs, tutorial links as possible.
For tokens, no matter the hype and the multipliers it made the first thing I always check is the smart contract vulnerability using De.fi/scanner and you'll see an example of the result you'll get if you click here. But if it's BNB based token i use https://bscscan.com/verifyContract sometime.
After, checking the smart contract and the danger involved the next thing I look into is the project concept, the solution it introduced, the use case, and the possible future traffic it will get in years to come.

For coin, I will check the team, and their private and public support before I later look into the concept, use case, solution it introduced, and future possible traffic. I mostly use CMC and CG for coin.

Like if you want to know what percentage of a token is being held for a few VC's, developers, initial investors, etc.? Or how do you monitor inflows and outflows over a period of time?
De.fi/scanner will provide you with almost the exact information.
20  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to be ready when it comes to selling? on: March 21, 2024, 08:09:31 PM
I currently have 75% of my crypto on cold storage and 25% on exchange and yesterday I was thinking about when it comes to selling.

I am not thinking of selling anything just yet but maybe will start in a few months once the halving is here and the market starts to really move.

Is it a good idea to still have most of my crypto on cold storage in a few months when the market is pumping and I am wanting to sell or is it best to start moving everything to exchanges which will then make it easier to sell?

I am just thinking it will be a long process having everything on my cold storage and then seeing the market pumping then having to send everything back over to exchange I may miss the best prices to sell as it will take some time to send everything from cold wallet to exchange.

I understand it is more safe to have crypto on cold storage but is it less likely in the peak of a bull run for exchanges to fall? If so, I feel it would be better to send all of my crypto to exchange in advance to then be ready to sell everything.

This may be obvious to some but this is my first bull run and want to be ready when it comes to selling and I am just not sure what is best way of planning to sell.
Crypto exchanges are not storage they are basically for crypto trading holding your crypto in cold storage is the best decision you ever make as a crypto investor.
If I were you I wouldn't touch the 75% in the cold storage footing that the cryptocurrency market will experience in the future market but seamless move of the crypto you want to sell during the bull market I will advise you to get a hardware wallet for that while you send the crypto you wanted to hold for the long term in the cold storage.
