1041  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: You can't always hit the right target on: February 06, 2021, 04:28:10 AM

sometimes even we can pick a right bounty campaign,
but the project will delaying the rewards payment not as they promise in the beginning from the campaign
thats why we must ready for all kind of situations mate

Bounty ought to be ready for all kind of situations but if they took their time in making research about the stance of the project team they want to work for there's still a chance for getting payment for their services and project delaying payment shouldn't be seen as a wrong thing if the project team provide a genuine reason cause things don't work as we plan something just like in the real world.
1042  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Dogecoin with over 200% increased, what happen? on: February 06, 2021, 03:34:07 AM
Dogecoin had some big dump today, reddish at 16% per https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/dogecoin/

I know it's just temporary, the market is bullish so the sentiment is still there, but I don't expect that DOGE will break its current high this year.
I think slowly DOGE will dump back as its hype is going to die soon, no tweet no hype and tweet just have temporary effect.
Anything can still happen to Dogecoin either Elon Musk create any hype or not since we are currently in the cryptocurrency market bullish season but Doge is definitely a gambling coin that requires huge analysis and following Elon tweet and I hope people are aware of this.
1043  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: UNI coin is the next BNB. ? on: February 05, 2021, 10:02:35 PM
UNI price now is enormous because everyone is using Uniswap. But as we've seen in the past, people could jump to the next uni/sushi/cumumberswap while Binance is here to stay.

For the long-term game, I bet on BNB.

Of course, especially if no new interested defi project which you can buy on Uni anymore.
Im sure BNB looks more promising over UNI in the future.
I don't think UNI has the potential to be the next BNB cause Binance is Centralized while Uniswap is decentralized but I am surprised how you guys talk for everyone in the cryptocurrency setting because I have never for once use Uniswap.
1044  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin Crash? on: February 05, 2021, 09:32:19 PM
Bitcoin can not crash.
The previous US SEC Chairman once make a statement that thrills me more about cryptocurrency he said "the current payment system which is not up to the task is what helping the price of Bitcoin" and if we look at it, the institution are now the major crypto investors which mean the US SEC chairman was truth definitely there's no reason for Bitcoin to crash.

1047  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: No positive sign in LTC on: January 28, 2021, 06:18:19 PM
It just a normal market procedure, because we're dealing with speculated market and the institution, are the most investors in the market, LTC is among the coin listed on Paypal, and it also among high manipulated altcoin for years.
1048  Other / Meta / Better understanding about the forum Plagiarism on: January 22, 2021, 08:00:15 AM
Have seen some plagiarism accusation raised on this which led to some user account permaban but I have a question of the plagiarism situation of this forum so not to be among the list that will be reported for plagiarism.
According to what I understand about the © owner rules and regulations every article, content, or news with creative commons licensed (cc) can be copy, edit etc.
Does the forum also consider the content from a site with creative commons licensed plagiarism?
How many % of content copy from © licensed is considered to be plagiarism?

Thanks

1049  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Check if there's any BCH left in my address on: January 18, 2021, 12:34:00 AM
Does it make more sense (timewise) to claim all the forks directly on coinomi? Except for BCD (IIRC), you can claim the rest directly with them; you move the private keys less times, make a single sweep, and can even dump everything for BTC at the same place.
Yes, that's faster. But I prefer to sign transactions offline, and BCH is the most valuable Forkcoin. Coinomi still doesn't let you split BCH-A though, and indeed BCD isn't supported.
What do you think about Bither wallet?

Sorry, I don't understand why I would need to get the private keys from my old wallet. Could you please elaborate?
Before you can claim the forked coin will need to sweep your old wallet using your private keys or seeds. Thats why you asked to move your BTC to new wallet.

EDIT: Is it to import them into those electrum wallets so I don't need to download the other coin's blockchain?
Yes, Electrum wallet is lite than Bitcoin core but you need to download the wallet from the official site electrum.org and verify the wallet.
1050  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Another BTC MultiBit Classic wallet (no password or seed words) on: January 14, 2021, 05:58:15 PM
... is there a way to be sure the wallet files have not been corrupted?
If the wallet is MultiBit? No, the last time i checked the wallet is deprecated and people are advised not to use it cause it developer no longer work on it or provide support which is the reason why people complain about it.

... is there the possibility that hascat (or other recovery scripts) is not able to open the wallet even if they find the correct password?
Thank you!
Hascat does not illustrate how wallet cause it own function is to help you recover your lost or forgotten password.
1051  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What will EOS be worth in the future? on: January 12, 2021, 05:31:26 PM
EOS coin doesn't have a capable future right from the beginning and it just a project pump by the Chinese through their top best coin listing every year and I expect the project to encounter a horrible reputation after Dan Larimer cause he was among the most successful developer in the blockchain world.
1052  Economy / Speculation / Re: Could this correction lead to a bear market for Bitcoin? on: January 12, 2021, 05:01:22 PM
If the correction lead to bear is fine since the crypto market is volatility in nature and I think we need to be bothered every time the market went dip cause we supposed to ride it and find any way to profit from what the market presented cause every market trend have it own advantage.
1053  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are we doomed? on: January 11, 2021, 10:00:57 PM
So I have been bitcoin mining a little before the boom (December 11th) and have made quite a bit.

After the fall recently, the amount I had saved went down a bit of course. Now I'm seeing the FCA (financial conduct authority) based in the UK says to prepare to lose all our money. Is this even reliable at all? I mean, I've never heard of them until recently and now it's all over the news.

Is this just another anti-bitcoin company like the motley fool?
1) We are not doomed
2) I dont think you need to trouble yourself over what was said about the Financial Conduct Authority.
3) The organization are doing the job in terms of giving people financial advise.
4) What you read about the organisation (FCA) is false and this is what they said "The FCA is aware that some firms are offering investments in cryptoassets, or lending or investments linked to cryptoassets, that promise high returns. Investing in cryptoassets, or investments and lending linked to them, generally involves taking very high risks with investors’ money. If consumers invest in these types of product, they should be prepared to lose all their money.

As with all high-risk, speculative investments, consumers should make sure they understand what they’re investing in, the risks associated with investing, and any regulatory protections that apply."

1054  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: submarine swap to get incoming liquiity - c-lightning on: January 11, 2021, 04:53:30 PM
Thats good to know but what about the lightning loop create by the lightning labs as a ease way to manage inbound and outbound liquidity on the lightning network https://lightning.engineering/loop/? It could be a substitute
Loop works only with LND while OP is using c-lightning, so it is out of the question for now. However, their Lightning Terminal looks really convenient to use.
Oh. I see and what do you suggest will be the perfect solution to the OP problem cause I really want to know and it will also help alot of people in future.

Hello.

I just caught up with the conversation.
Yesterday I installed Electrum Wallet and opened a new wallet compatible with Lightning Network (I opened one other wallet that was not compatible). But it's on the mainnet.

However I want to do this on my c-lightning node.
I'm not very comfortable yet with the concept of submarine swaps because I couldn't still follow all the steps that it performs until the goal is complete, but I'm sure that after doing this for at least one time, I'll be able to understand it.

So, this said, I'm waiting for @_Rath to become available to guide me trough the process. I really don't want to mess things up because I'll be using the biggest amount ever of BTC in this process. It's not that much for most people but it is for me!
Even with the mastery of Rath, I think using big amount of BTC for the process when you are not comfortable with submarine swap concept is not a good suggestion and it will be good if you try it out with few coin first.
1055  Economy / Speculation / Re: $80k within 6 weeks, new ATH October 2021 on: January 11, 2021, 04:41:34 PM
Though, i may not have much knowledge about the market but expecting 2017 market problem this year or the market to reach $80,000 seems lame and it astonished how people sometime predicted the market price.
1056  Economy / Economics / Re: Stay in HOLD or switch to DCA on: January 10, 2021, 10:39:13 PM
Personally I don't believe altcoins will perform even close to Bitcoin.
No, alts are somewhat better, if you look closely the alts listed by OP, you can noticed those alts aren't bad enough, as they did some great during the few weeks bull run. Alts isn't a bad idea so if you can get a good significant quantity of alts while it pump that would be a great profit, which however I supported OP for dividing his capital into getting his portfolio.
The altcoin listed by the OP aren't bad but they cant certainly perform close to the Bitcoin trend this year as said by Chris and since the market performed in a volatile direction the DCA which OP was told is a good movement.
1057  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: mycryptomixer.com scam or bug? on: January 10, 2021, 10:03:53 PM
Maybe was his own setup infected by malware...
There is this (well known here in the forum) copy/paste attack where the actual recipient address is replaced with one from the scammer.
The problem could be the copy and pasting a Bitcoin address but the OP not providing the mixed coin Letter of Guarantee and the mixed coin Order ID which can be used in the circumstance of an argument like as evidence as said on mycryptomixer is not helping and no mixing company or the forum member can help in this case.
1058  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: submarine swap to get incoming liquiity - c-lightning on: January 10, 2021, 08:46:07 PM
Redshift is the best option for submarine swap and I dont know why you are looking for another site but I once read that the lightning labs released Loop last year which is already integrated by some crypto exchange site but if thats not what you are looking. Have you try out https://submarineswaps.org/?

RedShift and https://submarineswaps.org/ support only a BTC -> LN swap. OP actually needs to perform a reverse submarine swap (LN -> BTC) in order to get incoming liquidity. I have been in touch with OP since yesterday and we are still looking looking for a decent platform to perform the swap. Earlier today, we found ZigZag which looked promising, but they could accept only ~0.0005 BTC via the Lightning Network. It looks like the maximum deposit has changed to 0.04 BTC, so we might give it a go in a moment.
Thats good to know but what about the lightning loop create by the lightning labs as a ease way to manage inbound and outbound liquidity on the lightning network https://lightning.engineering/loop/? It could be a substitute
1059  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: submarine swap to get incoming liquiity - c-lightning on: January 10, 2021, 07:38:32 PM
What other services/sites I can try?
I'm not sure about submarine swaps, but a simple exchange is possible in many ways. FixedFloat.com or CoinPlaza.it offer LN-exchanges, and for small amounts an altcoin is probably cheapest (in transaction fees). Alternatively, you can use a casino such as Lightning-Roulette.com or BC.Game to temporarily send some LN-funds to create inbound capacity, or buy something at Bitrefill.com.
I can even exchange it myself if you're okay with a very low fee on-chain transaction.
More alternatives: You can use Phoenix Wallet or BlueWallet (custodial LN) to send some funds too.

For the time being, I've given up on creating my own channels (for small amounts).

I'm not looking for just simple exchanges, I'm looking for a way to perform these submarine swaps so that I can have inbound liquidity.
I already have BlueWallet on my phone. But the thing here is that I have funds in an address in my Lightning node and I want to use those funds to open a channel to get inbound liquidity.

1060  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Bitcoin cards on: January 09, 2021, 11:31:33 PM
I think the idea of saving Bitcoin off line is good exceptionally if the coin are to be hold for a long term but is it good to totally trust all the listed Bitcoin card site and it the bip39 offline generator also secure cause I once read that some generator will later generate the same private keys user A use to user B?
