1061  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: What's going on with Allcoin.com website. on: March 10, 2015, 05:12:20 PM
I found something wrong with www.allcoin.com website.

Anyone having problem?
I don't have any problem opening Allcoin. Does it shows any error when you open the site or It's not loading at all?

Hi,
I just found the problem. I had NSR in my account. But Allcoin.com found a bug related with NSR. That's why they blocked my account.

But I have BTC in my account. So, I hope they will solve their problem and will unlock my account.

Thanks
Just open a support ticket and your problem should be solved by Allcoin team. Smiley
And if you're problem is solved please lock this thread.

I finally decided to buy at 0.00265, just hope that I won't regret it  Roll Eyes
You're actually late in buying i bought a few at 0.001. Tongue
Anyways It's a huge and long term project so anything under 0.004 is a good buy in my opinion. Wink

1065  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best operative system? on: March 10, 2015, 09:43:23 AM
there is also windows 10 coming out, test version end in april, you could try it for your client, it's cleaner than 8

Hoping windows 10 is better than 8, if they keep that annoying metro screen I'll be switching over to Linux completely. The only reason I've stuck with windows for so long are games and adobe cs.

metro screen isn't there anymore, well it's there but it's attahed to the classid sidebar of windows 7, and it's super customizable

i find it much better than both 7 and 8
Yeah, Windows 10 is great I've been using the technical preview for 2 months now. It's been running smoothly on my Laptop. Smiley
1066  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is the best Cloud mining Site? on: March 10, 2015, 08:21:28 AM
With the BTC slump cloud mining is mostly dead. There is a new breed of cloud mining websites popping up these days but you need to be careful. I just received my invite for DigitalX Mintsy beta yesterday, I signed up when it was first announced on Cryptsy but that was ages ago when BTC was still above $500. I haven't decided whether to invest, they've got 100 GH sha-256 3 months contracts for $59, also 10 MH scrypt 3 months contracts from the same. They're definitely legit and you can use your hashes to mine any coin you want from any pool. There is no maintenance/power or any other extras fees which is cool.
how is it possible to have no maintenance fee? are they running on free electricity with free equipment? honestly it sounds suspicious to me.
It's a 3 months contract not lifetime, So that $59 includes all the fees etc... I wonder who will purchase that there's no profit in it unless BTC price rises lol

Bitcoin Address: Can it stay anonymous?
Posts made: 4572
Link to Stat: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=18640

I post anyway so i though i could get paid for it too. My escrow service still stays of course.

If you really want to stay anonymous about your bitcoin address, please generate a new address/wallet. Most exchanges allow creation of another address, while previous address will still work. (try bitfinex for instance)

Or I will send my address to devthedev against your post and send to your real address from my wallet/exchange. If so, PM me your address.

Please change your signature to get enrolled.

If its so complicated then ill use an own address. The thing that most dont realize is that a fresh address still makes it possible to find out other addresses one owns if you send funds and funds are taken from different addresses of your wallet in one transaction. Though i will make sure to not do this.

I think you need to send me the code for signature.
Use custom send while sending Bitcoins if you're on BC also use same address(Sending address) for "change address" by doing this your other address won't be revealed.

I must ask how come poeple use faucets so often? I find I can never make anything worth my time... The only time they where semi worthwhile at todays price was when I used them in 2012, I made nearly a bitcoin after quite a bit of work!
I don't use any faucet just like you it's a waste of time for me as well. I think faucets are mainly used by those people who have free time or they're newbies in Bitcoin World trying get some free Satoshis.  Smiley

1070  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: OH NO! Coin-Swap exchange is closing, what can I do with my DOGE dust? on: March 09, 2015, 01:37:31 PM
Since a long time ago I was gathering DOGEs from FreeDogeCoin and MoonDogeCoin, I used to sell this dust in Coin-Swap, because it didn't had any withdrawal minimum and the fee was just 0.1mBTC (0.0001BTC). But now it's gone and I didn't found any other exchange without a withdrawal minimum small enough to dump them. Help please!

Do you any exchange where I could sell this DOGE dust?
What does DOGE dust means? You can use Poloniex fast and easy to use, They charge 0.0001 BTC for withdrawals. I hope this helped you.  Smiley
1071  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Moving from QT to Blockchain wallet on: March 09, 2015, 01:08:21 PM
How secure is this wallet if you look at others like coinbase or my normal QT wallet.

Check out this https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-wallet

A LOT of thought goes into reviewing those wallets to be included in the bitcoin.org website (that is the "official" bitcoin site).  To be fair though, perfect security is very hard to achieve (if not impossible) and all implementations have drawbacks.  If you click on the wallets you will see their pro's and con's.

Have a good browse and make an informed decision that is right for you.

I just dont get this...

Lets say I keep using the blockchain wallet...

Why should anything happen?
Or is it a hacking attack I should be in fear of?
Nothing would happen just make sure you have 2FA + Antivirus and don't visit malicious websites. Or if you have huge amount of Bitcoins use a different PC/Laptop only to access your funds at BC.  Smiley
1072  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Trying to daytrade alt coins on: March 09, 2015, 12:37:12 PM
I am trying to daytrade alt coins, it's not gong to well. LTC was the coin I used to go to, but it's not going up and down as much as it used to. Any tips for a newbie? Preferably would be a site which shows big drops fast.
I've seen a lot of ups and downs on Clam's price maybe you should try daytrading Clams?
I don't think the extent of fluctuation is the only criteria to pick up for risky daytrading! We should consider some other factors as well, such as the dev team, the specification, and potential application in our daily life etc. If the chosed altcoin complies with most of the criterias, then we can consider it promising.  If the altcoin sinks, we still get a chance.
Clams got good devs. JD and some other gambling sites accept Clams. That's the reason i mentioned Clams.  Wink
1073  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Mining Bitcoins in College on: March 09, 2015, 10:44:48 AM
Hey guys!

Im a Sophomore in college looking into bitocoins. I read about bitcoin and did a report on it, and am now extremely excited to begin mining for them! However, I am having some difficulty understanding how to mine bitcoin, especially in my situation. First and foremost, I am planning on buying miners soon. But the thing is, there is no ethernet jack ANYWHERE inside our old home. The Wifi is hooked up to a cable. Question is, can I download bitcoin over Wifi without any connection to a phone jack? Also can I hear about how to connect a bitcoin setup? I wanted to know a bit more about what are the names of the cables you connect to your laptop etc. Also any good programs to use to mine/manage my coins?

Thanks all!
Antminer would be a good buy if you're really interested in mining Bitcoins. But before that you should check your profitability on coinwarz and decide accordingly to how much to invest in hardware. Smiley

1074  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Has anyone ran into this issue? on: March 09, 2015, 10:22:22 AM
im trying to teach myself how to make a coin for fun & i just ran into this problem

Code:
main.cpp:2626: bool LoadBlockIndex(bool): Assertion `block.GetHash() == (!fTestNet ? hashGenesisBlock : hashGenesisBlockTestNet)' failed.

i got this after inserting the genesis block hash & recompiling.

any ideas?
Which coin's source you're using to make your coin? Try with different coin's source i think the some code has been removed  from main.cpp ?

The campaign owner (whoever started the giveaway, in this case me) does have the ability to review all submissions though.
Currently we've had 347 entries so far.

lets see, can i use multiple twitter account to enter this?since someone else could be using alot of account to do the task requirement already and also Exactly what time will the raffle start?
No doubts there are plenty of fake accounts involved in the giveaway.
Raffle has come to an end look at #2 post.  Tongue
1076  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Recovered wallet.dat files on: March 08, 2015, 07:11:16 PM

It used to be possible to import Bitcoin wallet.dats at blockchain.info. The rest - don't know.
You can still import wallet.dats at Blockchain.

I have recovered about 20 old wallet.dat files from a hard drive, some are bitcoin wallets, some are altcoin wallets (don't remember which is which, and which altcoins...) some are encrypted, some might be corrupted.

So what are my options to recover them? install every client and try to import every wallet with each client?
Try importing wallet.dat on BC you might find the bitcoin wallet.dat Smiley

Vouch copy? You could be selling absolute crap. We have no buyer protection with satoshibox.

A demo of that is online. Look at the satoshibox there is a link
Get the code reviewed by some reputed member here. How can anyone trust you?

He's possibly not wanting to give Vouch copies because he doesn't have the script.
Yeah i guess so. Anyways if anyone wants to run a dice website why would they buy his script. It needs a lot of investment and team to check out for bugs.. it's not easy to operate a dice website. Smiley
