1142  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Skepticism of BitcoinTalk User on: January 30, 2015, 07:00:10 PM
I recently started a new topic on Satoshi and where he is (In terms of online), and someone claimed to be him. I am really skeptic and doubt the identity, if any can confirm it please do.

Link to topic: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=936002.msg10295147#msg10295147

I am not advertising. I want to know if the person is plain trolling or is it him.
That guy is trolling lol Satoshi was last seen on this forum December 13, 2010, 04:45:41 PM. Even though if he's using some other username he wouldn't tell/we'll never find out.  Tongue
1143  Other / Meta / Re: How is activity calculated?? on: January 29, 2015, 05:00:53 PM
I know it's like this as Said by theymos
The way activity is calculated:
The activity number is determined in this way:
time = number of two-week periods in which you've posted since your registration
activity = min(time * 14, posts)

Activity is updated every hour.

But in simple words i think it means 14 activity in 14 days
But let us suppose a person stays offline for 2-3 months but his post count is more , so will his Activity rise even if he doesn't come online or post [I know that's completely irrelevant since it depends on time = number of two-week periods in which you've posted since your registration) but just clearing things..
Also what if suppose a person have 500 activity and 500 posts and he hasn't posted since a year
How will activity work then ?
Am asking this because i see someone's (who was idle for long time ) activity rise more than 14 within a day after his posts.[Don't ask who]
Yes, your activity will be updated within 1 hour of your post.

I only use Coinbase, personally I haven't had any issues with them at all but a lot of people on the site are very hesitant to use Coinbase and recommend other wallets.
Well lot of people recommend other wallets coz you don't have full control over your Coinbase wallet. You can't get private keys etc..

1160  Economy / Economics / Re: If your investment looked like this... on: January 16, 2015, 02:22:22 PM
The answer everyone should be asking is "Why aren't you buying more BTC at the current low price?"

If you bought 1 BTC at $700 six months ago and you refuse to take a loss, then you have to wait until it gets to above $700 before you make a profit.
At the current price, you can buy 1 BTC for $200, and to make a profit, it only has to go above $450.  That would be a lot more likely than reaching $700.
If you bought 10 BTC today for $2000, you'd start making a profit at $245.

My question to everyone who is holding, why aren't you buying more today?  (besides being broke)

I guess they're thinking i'll go down even more like $100.(I don't think i'll go down there)
