If you indeed ordered hashrate and not units, you're going to be the best served CoinTerra client Wink

And that's exactly how I worded the contract Smiley

Can we see a copy of the contract held between cognitive and cointerra

Yes: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1yRaeac_uqzlDNTdEQi-l79sJCLCGI8FVZBOvnsEI2ng/edit?usp=sharing

I love it when a plan comes together.

It was a very good contract. Two of my lawyers were also impressed.

I'm glad we're all pleased with it.

The stats page is undergoing some issues, and should be functional and online today.

A few of the units are losing connection, the only explanation I can find is the firmware becoming corrupted when power cycles.

I will be troubleshooting with CoinTerra in the morning. The cold indoor ambient temperatures here (30-40°F) actually come along with some technicalities, increasing efficiency along with potential for hardware errors. I will try letting ambient sit around 70°F and see if that helps after speaking with CT in the morning.

Regarding the CoinTerra contract, I wrote it in a way where I interpreted it as 1% per day late and Ravi interpreted it as 30% per 30 days late, and no compensation without the full 30 days. When in Austin, I spoke with him regarding this and, although he initially interpreted it differently, he will be supplying 1% additional hashpower for every 1 day late CoinTerra is in delivering.

In addition to that, the contract was for 28TH total (plus compensation). The units we have received are getting 1.5th/s on average, so CoinTerra will have to deliver roughly 19 units to cover that, plus extras for late delivery compensation.

This deal is working out very well for us, and we should have all hardware from cointerra in the coming week, in addition to us moving to our new facility, where more pictures will be taken.

theterabyte, I will respond to your message when I have more time tonight, after business hours.

who is the new staff member?

His name is Samuel, he will be operating from the accounts Cognitive-PR and samuel@cognitivemining.com, and will be introducing himself within the hour.

Hi All,

Six units arrived and began hashing yesterday. I have not been responsive on the forums or made any announcement because I have been busy actually acquiring the hardware and bringing it online.

All hashing from the CoiTterra units is publicly viewable here: http://eligius.st/~wizkid057/newstats/userstats.php/1cogxXyYU2EXEbdcV9j18PWenRU7gAjt1

Here is a tracking number for the boxes: http://wwwapps.ups.com/WebTracking/processRequest?HTMLVersion=5.0&Requester=NES&AgreeToTermsAndConditions=yes&loc=en_US&tracknum=1Z7658VA1341916343&WT.z_eCTAid=ct1_eml_Tracking

Today, I will move all of Cognitive's BTC holdings to a single address and publish that address.

I will respond to everyone's comments on the forum once I have finished the actual work, because that is the priority and always has been.

Will be back today multiple times with new updates.

what about the 2-4TH that has been mining to your 1garr BTC address?

The actual hashrate there is ~1.8th/s which I am receiving as a management fee for running machines owned by ineededausername . He is a very reputable and trustworthy member here; PM him and he will be happy to verify.

Everyone agree to hire new staff for Cognitive. Please do it Garrett.

I have sorted out an employee to handle management of PR, which is much needed. He currently is an equitable partner of uPin and does a great job with PR for them.

We need to know how much hasing power we own and where it is pointed and what are the addresses that it will pay out to.

Garr this is not hard to do and you have had a lot of time to get this sorted. Please make this a priority this weekend.

All info will be coming online this week, along with our first batch of Terraminers!

I will return with a detailed update this evening.

Cheers,
Garrett

PS, for added transparency, I will even be including the tracking numbers for all of the Terraminers!

I vote for Kakobrekla, He seems highly interested in this company and I bet he will tell us every thing that is wrong with it supper fast so we/he can fix it.

Thoughts?

Kakobrekla, do you accept the nomination for Cognitive PR Manager?
152  Economy / Securities / Re: Starting a new FPGA mining farm/contract! Cognitive Resurrected on[Havelock] on: February 12, 2014, 09:23:00 AM
Hey guys, thanks very much for the votes of confidence!  I originally didn't volunteer with Garr to play any official role with COG, but I would be willing to do so as much as I am able.  I work a full time software development job which leaves me very little free time, and the last thing we want to do is replace one unresponsive representative with another.  That said, I think I might be able to contribute with my presence (since I am on IRC/IM regularly while at work and can be brought in to deal with situations as they come up during USA west-cost working hours).

If Garr asks me, I'd be glad to help out however I can, but I am still hoping there will be other candidates with even more time to devote.

I am available on irc.freenode.net as "cmyers" and hang out in several bitcoin-related channels, so feel free to ping me there.

Theterabyte, your level-headedness has drawn a good amount of attention, and I and many others would love for you to play a role in the management of Cognitive. PM me and let's set up a time to chat.

Cheers,
Garrett

Hello Shareholders,

Currently, I'm on my way to Austin to speak with Cointerra regarding our order. As the contract Ravi (CT CEO) agreed to states, if they are 30 days late (after January 31) in delivering our hardware, we will receive and additional 30% of the total hashpower we ordered. I believe they will be delivering in February, and will be able to confirm either way this evening. Hopefully I will be able to pick up a few test units while in Austin in order to start generating some sizable coins for Cognitive.

A few people have inquired on managing the bookkeeping and PR for Cognitive, and I am in the process of sorting through these emails and PMs to choose whomever is most worthy.

Cheers,
Garrett

So much lulz. Quoted for preservation.

I'm picking up Garr from the Austin airport and driving him to the CoinTerra office. If he does not show up I will let you all know.

Our meeting should be very interesting.

Any update Goat?

I've been with him all day, sleeping in the same room as him tonight in Dallas, picking up our Cointerra hardware in person tomorrow!

Cheers,
Garrett

Any update Goat?

They felt in love, took the money and fled somewhere in South Pacific. They are living a happy life, far from the stress of Bitcoin world.

^Correct.
