841  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain New Miner S7-LN 2.7T @697W discussion (Not official) on: June 12, 2016, 01:37:26 AM
Ahh...little dust don't mean it's used. Maybe this is just how things get delivered to bitmain...
LOL yeah that must be the reason. Just a little dust from delivery. Totally haven't been mining with their psu's for years Wink but seriously, I think that if they had them sitting around in a closet they would have done something else with them...maybe they just had a huge overstock too though.
842  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Just Bought The Anminter S7-LN thoughts? on: June 12, 2016, 01:25:03 AM
Live in a basement and I don't pay for electricity where I'm renting; water and Electricity are free.
The air down in a basement is probably cool enough to just use box fans. They're cheap and you can pick them up at walmart or basically any box store. They'll use less electricity too I'm pretty sure so you can fit more miners on your circuit before it...goes boom Grin
843  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are your favorite gambling games? on: June 12, 2016, 01:20:20 AM
Sport betting is a good way to earn profit if you know a lot from players and their skills. But sometimes luck could involve along the line.
Dice was good, alternatively if you have a more self-control then you could really win a nice profit from those gambling site.
With sports you have a lot of statistics so yeah you can get an edge. Definitely luck comes in play though because there are always big upsets.
Dice is interesting. Most strategies work for a little while and then result in you losing it all.
844  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: TRICKS ON HOW TO WIN on dice games on: June 12, 2016, 01:16:24 AM
All tricks and co called strategies have their time. These things which are illusion more and less tricks let you in great losses. After some period when player is satisfied and begins to believe that it will work always. Then begins to play fearlessly and ended up with looses.Actually be careful with anything to try to win.All works till some certain point.
They all work until they don't. And then you have no money left. Martingale is the biggest illusion of all and a lot of people swear by it actually haha.
Best to try and approach it mathematically and not chase losses.
845  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTB 100+ S7 units in the USA. Willing to fly out to meet you, pay in BTC on: June 12, 2016, 01:14:15 AM
Order the S9 from bitmain, don't waste your money with old miners.  Grin
Next month all the old miners will be unprofitable ...
I think they're trying to buy used miners to hedge their bet a little bit against the halving. Seems like an ok strategy until the s9 completely runs off all other machines because of how efficient it is...
Better do it QUICK, must already have a facility ready for these miners. Going to see about 100 cheap S7 on the market come august at least.
Yeah, and that's when I'm planning to buy. Buying right now is probably a big mistake because of difficulty and the new miners. No doubt people have ordered hundreds to thousands of s9.
Watch out for halving!
846  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: PokerFace ? on: June 12, 2016, 01:11:12 AM
Actually I thought about starting a website where you can play live poker against other people online and you are forced to use a webcam to reveal your face to other players so it would feel a bi more like real life poker, but im sure it already exists even before I google for it..
There are some big poker sites with webcams and microphones but people aren't required to use one. So it's a good idea but I think it would be really hard to enforce it unless you had very active moderators and people who would report for blacking out the webcam screen etc.
847  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What will be ethereum price in 2 years from now ? on: June 12, 2016, 01:08:19 AM
$50 plus just on BTC being well over $1000
When Bitcoin goes up, altcoins usually go down. That's because the fiat value will rise and so people can sell at .01 for example instead of .015 or whatever and still get the same amount of dollars at the exchange when they sell the Bitcoin they got. So Bitcoin going up is not good for alts.
848  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: LUCK!!! :) How does it feels? on: June 12, 2016, 01:05:38 AM
If you are on a strike luck feels like you are the king of the world, Na that's not true, the king of the universe would be better.
You want to prolong it as long as possible but unfortunately that's not always possible in life. Which is why you need to enjoy it as long as it lasts.
And when it's gone don't go chasing it or you'll have bad luck Grin then you're stuck and trying to dig out of a hole that can't be dug out of.
Feel the great feelings of good luck and when it's stopped, don't go looking for it until it finds you!
849  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it a sin to gamble? on: June 12, 2016, 01:01:23 AM
It is only sin to gamble when you are losing a lot of money with it and that happens only when you are really greedy and that is bad if that happens to you.
But you have to know that there will be more people that is realizing that gambling is bad and that is nice.
Whether you're winning or losing shouldn't really effect the fact if it is a sin or not. Gambling is not inherently bad, it's the chasing over lost money that is.
And that's where you start to get debt and do bad things to get out of it. So gambling isn't bad but you made it lead you to do bad things.
850  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to stay away from gambling? suggestions ? on: June 12, 2016, 12:58:26 AM
It is not easy to stay away from the game when you're an addict. There are many people who think it's easy. But you have to keep trying. See more help videos for addicts , read some posts self help. A very good book for those who like to read is "The Power of Habit".
Yes and there are also hotlines to talk to previous addicts and people who can get you in the right path to help. It's summer so you can go walk around every time you feel like gambling to keep your mind off of it. Plus that will make you healthier Smiley
851  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why premined altcoins are considered scam-coin? on: June 12, 2016, 12:54:55 AM
You didn't answer the question where a coin that was issued for totally free derives its value from and why anyone would ever pay money for it or why it would be fair to take money for something you received for free. Please answer that question.

Also you seem to be unable to understand that even if the coin is distributed for free it can be a scam.
Also there is no such thing as a fair central distribution.

Maybe you would want to send privatekeys in the mail to 6 billion citizens of the world for free, maybe then i'd be interested but i doubt you can raise the funds to do that.

To me you make the impression of someone who's testing the waters for their next premine-coin. Save yourself the headache. It's not gonna fly.

Yes. I got the same exact impression.

Test the water for next premine coin?? This is more ridiculous than reptilian-jew conspiracy theory.

I'm talking about the REAL concept of FAIRNESS for both premined and not-premined coins and still haven't received a valid reason why buy coin from mining mobbing of big whales should be considered "fair", because this is what happens when who has more hash power can get most of monetary supply only for speculative purpose.
They have to buy a huge amount of hardware to be a whale...so they earned it or somebody else earned it for them. The rich always get richer, it's something you can't stop in the world. It's fair because even if they inherited money then the person who had the money had to work for it. There's a valid reason for you.
852  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's stopping people from using bitcoin? on: June 12, 2016, 12:50:20 AM
Many people just don't like bitcoin or maybe they are scared about scammers or just don't interested on it, many differen stuff can happen to people who can't start using bitcoin.
Yeah the scams from the community definitely do not help. No way to get your money back so once a scammer gets it it's gone. That's why there are a lot of scammers in Bitcoin unfortunately. Good thing the community works very hard to warn people about things that don't seem right to try and prevent newer people into Bitcoin from getting scammed and saying "screw this".
853  Other / Off-topic / Re: If i give you 10 BTC what will you do? on: June 12, 2016, 12:48:47 AM
i would just invest it all into some kind of a ponzi or something like that in order to make even more money fast and easy
Well that's an easy way to lose the free 10 BTC lol. If anything just gamble it at that point because then you know at least the Casino won't shut down and you also are trying your luck Tongue
854  Economy / Services / Re: Make 0.03 BTC everyday from www.freebitco.in on: June 12, 2016, 12:46:44 AM
for all waiting for proof, I will post it as soon as possible
Unfortunately some pictures of a Bitcoin address or wallet/balance will not really work unless the address can be confirmed as coming from the website. Or else then you just send Bitcoin to yourself to make it seem real lol.
855  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: High bet amounts or low bet amounts? What is your style? on: June 12, 2016, 12:42:12 AM
I wonder if you just play for the fun with small amounts or if you roll big sums in hope to win a lot? What is your method?

Small amounts.
It is harder to lose larger amounts as you get to a certain cut off point and can control it better.
It also means that on loss, you don't lose as much as you could do. You are also left with a guarenteed amount to withdraw if you only invest small amounts.
It's pretty easy to get stuck chasing losses on small bets though so as long as you're not martingale strategy or something like that then it can be better than a few big bets. But know when to stop haha
856  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Selling 6 six years old Bitcointalk account only 0.01 on: June 11, 2016, 06:45:50 PM
To help your sale you should go here bctalkaccountpricer.info and then get a merchant token from the id of the account. This gives a lot of useful information without exposing the account and will help people buy it. But wow is that a long time for an account haha! If you mined some bitcoin back then you would be a millionaire Grin

Bctalkaccountpricer.info is not much help. Because my account is still a newbie. And their pricing is not correct on aged accounts.
While the age is nice it would also be good to see the potential activity. But nobody should buy accs

Hello again sofia and welcome back. I'll see if my girlfriend wants me to get a card for her (she will be excited again haha) Grin nice to have such a good and trusted seller back.

859  Economy / Economics / Re: The Halving - Good or Bad for Bitcoin? on: June 11, 2016, 05:00:05 AM
It will be good we are expecting more profit after the halving but i do not know if it is will be profitable in the miners but some speculation halving will cut the income of the miner.
The number of bitcoins they will be receiving after the halving will be lowered due to difficulty in mining and it would only compensate then to continue mining if the price of bitcoins will increase.
So theoretically it should be about the same for miners considering the new s9 is 2.5x more efficient in power than the s7. Since Bitcoin is also rising before, and has a potential to rise after the halving, I think this will counteract the difficulty jump from the s9 and also miners can still make the same profit. Just from a math prospective mining should be 50% more revenue because the 2.5x (less power money) x 1/2 (halving) = 50% more. Now obviously take into account difficulty and the price (which is rising based on speculation) I think it's better or break even as it is right now.
860  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: HASHNEST Discussion and Support Thread on: June 11, 2016, 04:38:06 AM
Im sure they started offering S7s from Batch1 on Hashnest although if i am wrong, someone will no doubt correct me.

I think you are right
Well since that is the case I really hope they roll out the s9 hashes soon so we can all buy those and get a lot lower maintenance fees. I suppose we'll have to pay more for the gh though so maybe in the end it will be the same as an s7 in terms of time to ROI
