541  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: I am NOT comfortable breaking EU law as you requested to Upload ID SELFIE VIDEO on: March 28, 2018, 04:23:22 AM
Hi, can you fix this problem please? I am NOT comfortable breaking the EU law as you requested to Upload ID SELFIE VIDEO !!!

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3167207

Again, it's not illegal to require such things while trading and converting currencies. The law you're talking about is applied to police officers trying to obtain your ID without detaining you. This thing with anti money laundering is completely different. It's most likely considered as a security in your country so they need this info just like every stock brokerage company.
542  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Coin Market Cap SCAM!!! on: March 28, 2018, 04:05:11 AM
They have to update coinmarketcap to make accurate and reliable price analysis cause this issue might be cause of all FUD. That's why all altcoin are going down for no reason. All the web devs of CMC have to do is to scrape data from 100 or more exchanges to make accurate market price results or they're doing this on purpose.
Everything is going down right now. There's blood in the streets and all we're seeing is red. None of that has anything to do with some market cap reporting website accidentally getting a few things wrong on a small margin. If you can show me something with a 10% difference I'd be more compelled to think it was done intentionally.
543  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin, how far it can go! on: March 28, 2018, 03:58:36 AM
The infrastructure of Bitcoin has grown very strong with lightning network release and has seen a huge decline in price. It's a pretty big opportunity if you can afford to wait for whenever the next rally is. Of course, such a thing may never come. Bitcoin's usability does not depend on its price, but if more people want or need to use Bitcoin its price will have to increase so there is enough value in circulation to do all that.
544  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Anyone mining on Hashnest S9? on: March 28, 2018, 03:55:14 AM
What do you mean exactly with "Do you know anything about it?"
I did use the site before (late 2017) with AntS9, but I decided to sell my hashes and pull out my BTC there.

PS. If you want to read more and discuss with present hashnest users, here's their thread link https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=766448.0

It's a bit vague, sorry about that. What I meant is whether you know anything about this decline in hash rate. I have been using hashnest for a couple of months, but I have never seen the hash rate so low before.

Thanks for the link!
I'm not sure what you mean by hash rate, but mining difficulty is high and Bitcoin price is low so people can't afford to keep their miners running. I imagine Hashnest is still a little profitable for now, but this is why hash rates decline during bear markets. People simply can't afford the cost to mine when in the negatives. If you meant price, same reason as before, people are trying to dump their hashing power to get even a little bit of their money back.
545  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What do you guys think of ice rock mining on: March 28, 2018, 03:51:52 AM
What do you guys think of ice rock mining, they promise an amazing roi, do you belive its legit
Anything with an "amazing roi" in this space is basically a big red flag. Good opportunities do exist, but not like anything this website is promising. Also, cloud mining in general lends itself to scamming because you pay a big up front cost to get little returns every day, usually taking several months to even get back what you put in. By then they've already won.
546  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How can I tell if a cloud mining business is not a scam? on: March 28, 2018, 01:52:52 AM
There's a forum thread around here that used to judge cloud mining websites based on many categories to determine a "scam level" for the website. Things like signed addresses, proof of mining, confirmed hardware purchases and things like that. Bitmain's cloud mining is legit, but it being profitable or a good decision is a different story  Grin
547  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: LocalBitcoins.com Forcing me to Quit? VERY DISAPPOINTED! on: March 28, 2018, 01:46:53 AM
Don't know what to tell you dude. I'm sure EU has anti money laundering laws and requirements for exchanges. The sad thing is the government probably already came down hard on them for this kind of thing and that's why they're doing this now. Providing an ID to somebody on the street (aka the police) when not detained for a crime is different than verifying somebody for money transactions of different currencies. We have both those laws in my country, too.
548  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What is best Bitcoin mixer now that Bitmixer.io is gone? on: March 27, 2018, 03:15:46 AM
Bitcoin basically anonymous transaction but with mixing their coin, it's far become untraceable and become more difficult to find the source.
So some group may have advantage for using this kind of service

Bitcoin isn't anonymous at all, and especially not when it comes to the majority of the people. In most cases people buy their first coins from an exchange, where in current times account verification is a must, so all the coins they withdraw from that exchange, will have their personal information attached to them. In order to get rid of that personal taint, people mix their coins. It's as simple as that. Bitcoin is no longer the preferred way of settling illegal transactions, where I have been seeing privacy centric coins as Monero gain more popularity. I am just waiting for the day these privacy based currencies start being the main currency on dark net markets -- the sooner that happens, the sooner we get rid of the idiots blaming Bitcoin for everything that happens.
The privacy focused coins are more likely to be outlawed. At least more likely than a mixing website being outlawed. Even if a mixing website is outlawed a new one can pop up, but if an entire coin is outlawed? No idea how that shakes out.

Can somebody answer why bitmixer closed anyways?
549  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Monitoring of new coins on: March 27, 2018, 03:11:43 AM
What a nice bot. It's impossible to keep up with all the new coins, and coins are only ever worth anything if they can be traded on a decent exchange. How do you go about joining in on the free version of the bot to get 10% of the signals? I think getting a free trial and seeing them all could be overwhelming at first.
550  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cloud mining on: March 27, 2018, 03:04:12 AM
The very nature of cloud mining lends itself to ponzi scheme scams. You give them a large sum of money, and get back a small sum of money every day. So the business model itself opens up a lot of websites to just being scams.

That said there is Bitmain's cloud mining, but again you're putting up a lot of money to get back a small amount every day. I'd say save the money and just buy the machines yourself.
551  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Coin Market Cap SCAM!!! on: March 27, 2018, 03:00:09 AM
The guy is going over an article that was written a little while ago. The article gives me SJW vibes, and has a lot of tribalism in it. I don't give a crap of BCH (BCASH) but that article is attacking Coin Market Cap for having bitcoin.com and forum.bitcoin.com listed as #2 on some subjects on Bitcoin's info. Like who actually cares... and supposedly 75% of the information is wrong across all coins, but one of the things they say is wrong is there is differing amounts between Coin Market Cap and blockchain.info about total circulation by less than 700 BTC. I mean most of this just seems like a hit piece. Guy in the video is fine, he's just going over the article (which is just splitting hairs). If they're off by a margin of 1% or less is that really a big deal?Huh
552  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Best CPU Mineable Coins in 2018 and CPU Mining Guides on: March 27, 2018, 02:51:01 AM
I was looking for such a thread for some time, my thanks goes to OP for the effort.
Here is a personal list of cpu coins that i know :

DigiByte
Myriad
TurtleCoin
HodlCoin
Masari
RieCoin
IntenseCoin
MinexCoin
Credits
RavenCoin
Magi
Verium
Zcash (difficulty may be too high now?)
Electronium
Aeon
Yenten
Zoin
LeviarCoin
Sumokoin
Dero
Hexx
Might as well throw all cryptonight coins out the window. I'm certain even if they're asic resistant that they are not worth mining because of the ability to mine on GPU. Although it may not be effected by each other's hashrate, I've noticed it is still not as good as other algorithms. Also, there will be ASICs for them again soon. Every coin is hit hard because Bitcoin is in a bear market so there's that too.
553  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BiblePay | Masternodes | Sanctuaries | POBH - ASIC Resistant | 10% ORPHANS on: March 26, 2018, 11:18:05 AM

Ok, sorry, I meant private/secret pool. The pool source is on github.
That makes more sense. But what is stopping them from acquiring or using their already mined coins to then gain more power over the network as normal people leave because of the new requirements to mine?
554  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BiblePay | Masternodes | Sanctuaries | POBH - ASIC Resistant | 10% ORPHANS on: March 26, 2018, 11:10:18 AM

The staking is primarily to fend against botnets. If you were following this coin, you would know that we've been fighting against - alleged - botnets, that were at one time mining about 90% of all generated coins.

Right now they are getting 0% of all coins.

Which scenario would you prefer?

It's not about pumping, it's about being able to provide BBP for everyone.
Then the pool operators are the ones you need to work with? Many different IP addresses mining to the same account and same worker, or even different workers, could be detected easily. There's no real need to require another buy-in to allow people to mine. I don't know how much or how easy it is to get the buy-in price or even what the price is/will be on April, but it's pretty crappy to require a "membership fee" of sorts for people to get involved in securing a block chain which is about Christian teachings. Wouldn't you agree?
Botnet was not on pool. Solo mining.

How would a botnet owner manage to solo mine and collect the money on a large number of machines? That doesn't make much sense to me.

556  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW / Josh Garza discussion Paycoin XPY xpy.io ION ionomy. ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :) on: March 26, 2018, 10:31:02 AM

Hate to burst your Paycoin Bubble, but they gave Homero immunity to snitch on Stu for the GAWsuit & they didn't get anything valuable from him, but their case is strong, even without his "help."

Immunity was granted only on condition that he is truly broke.  If they ever find his hidden loot, all bets are off.

He'll have to keep looking over his shoulder for the rest of his pitiful life.
Lol immunity deals are only ever good if they end up getting something that can then be used to catch the criminal the snitch set up for them. If they don't get the bigger bad guy, the immunity doesn't even go into effect.
557  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: ▶️VPS METHOD 2018◀️ | Unlimited Servers Method 2018 | INSTANT DELIVERY on: March 26, 2018, 10:26:56 AM
I've never seen a VPS with a 3 hour limit, that's pretty unique. What operating systems do they allow?

It's a bit strange that all your vouches are from a while ago and the thread they were posted in is deleted.
558  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: Selling Full verified Bet365 account with verified Neteller ,Skrill accounts on: March 26, 2018, 10:20:04 AM
Isn't this the exact same post as the one you also just bumped...maybe they have been moved here by a mod but having 2 of the same exact thread in the same exact place is a little spammy.

Hi, can you ship to canada? If so i will offer $350 USD for all the GPUs.

At that price of $87.50 I assume shipping out of country wouldn't be viable. The very bottom line of the market on ebay is $100 and even then those GPU still have days to go before the bidding ends. I would guess that most cards go for $140 or so. I don't mind you trying to bargain for a deal though  Smiley
560  Economy / Digital goods / Re: 🔥🔥🔥🔥 I have Merit for sale ! 🔥🔥🔥🔥 on: March 26, 2018, 10:08:51 AM
This honestly seems like a troll post. They're trying to sell something which most consider ethically wrong and also want to sell it at prices that make literally no sense. I could think of no situation where somebody would pay that much, isn't that like $100 to get 10 merits to even be a lowly member or something?

On top of it all they're opening up themselves to also be scammed by saying they'll send the merit first Grin what a thread
